Chapter 121 Where is the stuff?

Jiang Qingwan saw the moment the silly, simple-minded man stood behind Liang Zhi's chair.

The black energy around Liang Zhi's little finger no longer tightly enveloped it like a silkworm cocoon, but instead transformed into a black king snake.

The illusory shadow of black mist climbed from Liang Zhi's fingers onto the silly fool's body, swirling around his body and up to his neck.

The black king snake exhaled a long, black wisp of smoke that twisted into an S-shape in the air, grazed his bare skin, and then bit down hard.

The simpleton was completely oblivious, his face stiff and his neck rigid as he confronted Jiang Qingwan, his words absurd and laughable.

After Jiang Qingwan's prompting, although he felt a chill rise from his heart, he still thought that Jiang Qingwan was deliberately scaring him.

After a brief period of fear, his heart stopped pounding, and the loud ringing in his ears gradually disappeared.

The sunlight outside the window was still bright and soft, shining through the window and onto the conference table, casting a layer of golden, romantic glow.

Looking at the spots of light shining through the table, the simple-minded man suddenly realized that what Jiang Qingwan had said was a huge deception.

If he believes that, then he has truly lost.

The simpleton smirked, his lips twisting to the horizon, his words dripping with disdain, "I'm still alive and well, aren't I? Do you think you're the Grim Reaper, or that you're so powerful that you stole the King of Hell's Book of Life and Death and wrote my name on it?"

Jiang Qingwan smiled instead of getting angry. Her eyes were calm and composed, staring at the silly man like a sharp mirror, reflecting him perfectly.

"What's wrong? You know you can't find a better excuse, so you're pretending to be mute?" The silly goose continued to press the issue and spout nonsense.

"Should I call Ye Qi over? You seem to be in a bad mood and very anxious," Liang Zhijian added, while also showing off his professional ethics as a doctor.

Jiang Qingwan glanced at him sideways, her eyes no longer calm, but filled with shattered mirrors, each piece sharp as a thorn.

Even if someone is a complete idiot, at least they're still a person.

Liang Zhi cannot be called a human being; he is a monster that is half-human and half-corpse, and the scales of his mind have already tipped towards the zombie.

Those who are not of our kind will surely have different hearts.

"I'm not killing you now because you're still useful. Don't go looking to provoke me," Jiang Qingwan said, pointing her slender white fingers directly at Liang Zhi's forehead without any hesitation.

The simpleton gasped, secretly shifting his feet towards the wall to distance himself from Liang Zhi. He spoke to Jiang Qingwan with feigned bravado, his voice trembling with fear, "Are you going to kill someone without a second thought?"

“I’ve said it before, he’s not human,” Jiang Qingwan emphasized again.

The people in the conference room had different expressions; clearly, some in the crowd still didn't believe it.

"Qingwan, I've found it," Ye Qi's voice echoed in Jiang Qingwan's mind.

"Then come to the conference room," Jiang Qingwan transmitted to Ye Qi.

"Okay, I'll be right there."

After Ye Qi finished replying, there was no further movement in Jiang Qingwan's mind.

Meanwhile, in the conference room, Liang Zhi remained seated, motionless.

It was as if everything he had done was slander; he was a noble biological research institute director who was upright and honest.

Silly and foolish, he glared angrily at Jiang Qingwan, but the fierceness in his eyes had diminished, showing a hint of weakness.

"I've arrived," Ye Qi transmitted telepathically.

Jiang Qingwan turned her head to look outside the door. Ye Qi was standing at the top of the stairs. He was tall and slender, and his white coat had a casual, haute couture feel reminiscent of Paris Fashion Week.

Her hair was damp with a light sheen of sweat, and her eyes sparkled as if they had been washed.

Every time I see it, I am amazed by the wonders of the Creator.

Jiang Qingwan withdrew her gaze, turned towards the doorway, and spoke with a hint of amusement.

"Director Liang, your subordinate is here. You don't need to call him."

Liang Zhi remained unmoved, his fingers, which were not wrapped in gauze, casually tapping the table, making a jumbled, rattling sound.

He continued with a smile, "Then why don't we invite him in?"

"Director Liang, have you ever considered that I am the one who organized the meeting?" Kang Xiyang pointed out Liang Zhi's inappropriate behavior directly.

"Excuse me, Chief Kang, may I ask if my subordinates may come in to observe the meeting?" Liang Zhi quickly admitted his mistake, bowing slightly and nodding to Kang Xiyang.

"certainly."

Kang Xiyang had absolute confidence in Jiang Qingwan, and he had reason to believe that Jiang Qingwan had called Ye Qi over because something important must have happened.

After receiving Kang Xiyang's permission, Jiang Qingwan turned to Ye Qi and called out, "Come in."

Ye Qi came in empty-handed.

"Where are the things?" Jiang Qingwan asked, somewhat puzzled.
