Chapter 41 Shifting the Blame East

The two cars passed each other.

They were supposed to be intersecting parallel lines, not interfering with each other, and after a brief encounter, they would never intersect again.

Wang Chengcheng bent down and groped to pick up the lip balm that had just rolled off the ground.

There was a little dust on the pink paste.

Wang Chengcheng tenderly rubbed off the outer layer and quickly tightened the lid.

He muttered, "What are you doing? You scared me half to death. I thought I was going to die in a car accident in the apocalypse."

"You're getting too excited," Jiang Qingwan said, pouring cold water on the situation.

The rearview mirror showed that the black sedan suddenly turned around and chased after the vehicle.

"Damn it. What's wrong with that guy behind me?" Chen Xiaoran couldn't help but curse.

"How did you suddenly catch up with us?" the unlucky guy asked, turning around in confusion.

"Ah, it's those black unidentified creatures!" Wang Chengcheng recalled the scene she saw when she was applying lipstick.

"Hurry up. I'll reduce the car's drag." Chen Xiaoran used her wind-based superpower to give her car a significant speed boost.

In an instant, the black pickup truck reached its maximum speed, a speed that car manufacturers could not replicate.

It's the ultimate push-back feeling that race car drivers dream of.

Everyone's hearts were in their throats.

The distance between vehicles gradually increased.

The black sedan behind them, like a mangy dog, kept chasing relentlessly.

"What's going on? We can't catch this person, yet we still have to chase him," Wang Chengcheng said impatiently.

The car behind seemed to hear those words and got angry, so they couldn't catch up.

However, the electric orbs, intertwined with white light, caught up with the car.

“This person is trying to force us to stop,” Chen Xiaoran analyzed.

"It's alright, I'll handle it. You guys watch the road." Wang Chengcheng stopped the security guard and driver who were turning their heads back.

Jiang Qingwan covered her eyes with spiritual energy and scanned the people in the car.

Aside from the known superhumans.

Security Guard: Ice-type ability user.

Wang Chengcheng: Fire-type ability user.

Xia Mang: A water-based ability user.

Unlucky guy: Earth-type ability user.

Wang Chengcheng was originally a fire-type ability user, an offensive ability, and her offensive power was indeed undeniable.

Xia Mang is a water-based ability user. Although her attack power is a bit weak, her ability is the most practical for home use.

No wonder the two of them were able to maintain such exquisite appearances even after the apocalypse.

Wang Chengcheng rolled down the window and angrily threw out a fireball.

The rolling flames and the lightning ball underwent a chemical reaction.

It exploded out of thin air.

"Holy shit. They have superpowered individuals too." Qi Jia, the driver of the black sedan behind, slammed his fist on the steering wheel and cursed.

"It seems we can't use them as scapegoats," said Wang Kang, a fellow traveler, shaking his head regretfully.

"What are you saying? Meeting is fate, why should we bear this danger alone?" Qi Jia let out a villainous, cackling laugh.

"Can't we stop them?" Wang Kang pulled out his gleaming pistol.

The cold gun barrel emitted a terrifying light.

Wang Kang lovingly stroked it once, then opened the skylight.

The wind blew through the hall, turning Wang Kang's hairstyle into a middle part.

He squinted slightly, aiming at the moving tire.

Bang bang bang, several shots were fired in quick succession.

The bullets, carrying immense malice, burst forth in a surprise attack.

Wang Chengcheng instinctively used her fire-based superpower to block the bullet, but the high temperature could not melt the flying bullet.

The loud, impactful noise filled my ears, and the seat beneath me lurched violently.

The vehicle managed to move a short distance using its inertia and wind-based abilities, but was forced to stop due to the actual situation.

The black sedan was finally catching up.

Wang Kang poked his head out and gradually approached the group, shouting, "Zombie rats, please! We're leaving now."

His tone betrayed his undisguised smugness.

Jiang Qingwan's face was icy cold, her eyes frosty, and she silently made a hand seal.

The water-based spiritual energy transformed into ice spikes, piercing the tires covered in yellow mud.

Pfft—

The black sedan was also swaying precariously, its speed decreasing.

Wang Kang's smile froze on his face and quickly disappeared.

"I underestimated their strength," Wang Kang said regretfully.

"It's alright, we have plenty of weapons, we just didn't want to use them just now," Qi Jia comforted her.

"That's true. We didn't want to waste the weapons we snatched underground, but who knew we'd run into a bunch of zombie rats. And then we ran into such a powerful group of people," Wang Kang sighed.

"Cooperate, cooperate, let's cooperate!" Wang Kang shouted, his voice coming through the crack in the glass.

"Cooperation?" Gu Ningyue asked.

"Let's cooperate. We'll deal with these zombie rats first, then we'll deal with them." Jiang Qingwan narrowed her eyes, her words full of disdain.

These people are nothing but clowns.

"Then we have no other choice. We can only cooperate for now," Chen Xiaoran said quietly.

"Be careful, they might turn against us too," the security guard warned.

The zombie rats, their sharp teeth gleaming, used the tires as gnawing tools, chewing and munching away.

Solving the zombie rat problem is urgent.

Fortunately, everyone was lucky when they were collecting zombies in the mall. They only encountered one fast zombie, which was instantly killed by Jiang Qingwan.

Everyone has a lot of superpower reserves.

"Let's go. Use our superpowers to take them out." Jiang Qingwan opened the car window and took the lead.

The zombie rats were piled up on top of each other, densely packed together, one layer after another.

The zombie rats on the top floor were about to climb through the window and have a close encounter with everyone.

Jiang Qingwan unleashed a fire spell, instantly scorching a large area.

Then this only burned some of the zombie rats to death; the height of their pile remained unchanged.

The zombie rats swarmed forward, frantically sniffing at the scent of living people, trying to squeeze into the car.

"Tsk, what a nuisance." Jiang Qingwan also noticed that there were endless zombie rats.

"What are you all hiding for? Let's attack together!" The security guard conjured ice shards and pierced the zombie rat's scarlet eyes.

Everyone snapped out of their daze and began using their supernatural abilities.

In an instant, the smell of burnt food mixed with the smell of blood permeated every nook and cranny, probing the nerves of everyone present.

Qi Jia moved the mound of earth, creating a large, deep pit, from which the zombie rats kept sliding down.

Wang Kang would occasionally unleash a burst of lightning.

The zombie rats squeaked and squeaked.

However, there were simply too many zombie rats.

Even if the two groups joined forces, it would be a drop in the ocean in terms of eliminating the zombie rats.

"How exactly did you manage to attract so many zombie rats?" Jiang Qingwan asked.

"We went to the underground warehouse to collect some supplies, and I don't know how it ended up like this," Wang Kang replied, downplaying the seriousness of the situation.

"You guys are really lucky," Chen Xiaoran said sarcastically, her words carried on the wind to her two brothers opposite her.

"What kind of supplies did you collect?" Jiang Qingwan asked bluntly.

They ventured deep into the underground warehouse, and despite attracting so many zombie rats, they still wouldn't give up.

It must be something good.

"Beautiful ladies, do I really need to tell you this?" Wang Kang was unwilling to answer.

"You've already provoked so many zombie rats. Are you still unwilling to tell the truth?" Jiang Qingwan's hands didn't stop moving.

Fireballs bloomed one after another.

There were a few misalignments, and they almost burned Wang Kang and Qi Jia who were standing next to them.
