Chapter 6 Cleansing the Marrow with the Spiritual Spring

Jiang Qingwan had her own general plan and was not in a hurry to start cultivating.

Following the experience in the book, cleansing the tendons and marrow is the first step.

She pushed open the door, walked to the spring in the courtyard, and decisively jumped in.

With a splash, Jiang Qingwan was completely immersed in the spring water.

The water droplets seemed to split and deform into countless firm microneedles, pricking every inch of Jiang Qingwan's skin.

It hurts, it hurts so much.

Not a single drop of spring water was left, except for Jiang Qingwan's exposed head.

Large beads of sweat and tears from his eyes rolled down into the spring water.

Jiang Qingwan closed her eyes tightly, her face contorted in a grimace.

She was forced to empty her mind; apart from the pain, there was nothing else she could hold.

Jiang Qingwan didn't know how much time had passed, but it felt like an eternity.

After a long while, Jiang Qingwan's eyelashes trembled slightly, she opened her eyes, and her face returned to a serene expression.

His eyes were calm and serene, as if they had been washed clean, yet they were filled with the weight of time and the weight of stories.

Jiang Qingwan got up from the spiritual spring and returned to the bathroom with a single thought.

The familiar hum of the bathroom heater filled my ears.

Jiang Qingwan took off her clothes and casually rubbed her arms. She didn't even use much force, but all that came off was black mud.

Jiang Qingwan put on bath gloves and scrubbed herself thoroughly until she finally felt that there was no more dirt on her body.

At the same time, Jiang Qingwan discovered that she had become more than one shade lighter.

This spring water is far more effective than any whitening products or whitening injections at beauty salons; the whitening effect is visible to the naked eye.

Jiang Qingwan walked to the mirror and looked at herself, finding that her appearance had become even more refined.

She used to be described as a pure and innocent beauty, but now she has gained a touch of aloofness and mystery, a face that would make others secretly curse Nuwa for being biased.

Nuwa! Have you ever considered how we mud splatters feel?!

Her long, dark, shiny hair clung to her body like the finest silk and brocade.

A light mist rose, and the bathroom steam rose, but it couldn't hide the skin's fair and translucent complexion, as white as snow.

Needless to say, her facial features are exquisite, so much so that you can't look away once you see them.

Coupled with her elegant and refined temperament, her eyes, though sparkling, also held a touch of divinity, making one want to bow down in worship.

Perhaps this is what it means for a goddess to descend to earth.

Jiang Qingwan felt that her changes were both unexpected and reasonable.

She picked up a bath towel, wrapped it around herself, and started blow-drying her hair.

She then got up and went back to her bedroom, sitting on the bed.

It's December 27, 2099. Not counting today, there are four days left until the apocalypse. She needs to start taking action now. She must stockpile supplies.

While we're not too worried about funding right now, we still don't have enough to buy guns and gunpowder.

She scrolled through her phone and found the contact information for the professional agent hired by the Jiang family after they reunited with her biological parents, when the family transferred a large sum of money to her name. She then made a direct call to the agent.

The call was connected very quickly.

"Hello, Ms. Jiang. What kind of work do you need?"

"Cheng Yi, you should know that I own several houses and shops, all of which are being sold below market price. They must be sold by the day after tomorrow, and all cash must be paid in full."

"And I don't want anyone else in the Jiang family to know about these things, including my grandfather, Jiang Chaoyue. Do you understand?"

"When you sell it, don't sell it under the Jiang family's name. Just pretend it's a property you obtained through other channels. Keep it a secret."

"Okay, Miss Jiang, I understand."

“You can start working overtime now. I’ll give you one ten-thousandth of the total amount sold as overtime pay.” Jiang Qingwan was very generous.

Using a percentage of the total price as high-priced overtime pay will definitely allow Cheng Yi to sell quickly without the price being too low.

“Okay, Miss Jiang, I’ll start handling these matters now.” Cheng Yi replied with an undisguised hint of surprise.

We need more of these amazing overtime pay deals! It's not that I don't like working overtime, it's just that the pay isn't right.

Jiang Qingwan searched for warehouse advertisements online; she was preparing to stockpile supplies.

Although space can be folded up, you can't exactly fold it up in front of people when you buy things.

After looking around for a while, Jiang Qingwan found a suburban warehouse with flat and wide roads but few people.

"Good evening, Ms. Huang. I saw on a rental website that you have a storage room available for rent. I would like to rent it for a month."

"Sorry, I won't be renting it for a month."

What's the minimum rental amount?

"At least six months, it's quite troublesome to move things around in the warehouse."

"Deal. Six months it is. If there are any other things piled up in the warehouse, remember to clear them out."

I want a large, empty warehouse. See you at the warehouse entrance tomorrow at 3 PM.

“Okay, I’ll contact you at this number then.” The warehouse owner, Ms. Huang, agreed.

The transit point for stockpiled supplies is ready. All that remains is to procure general supplies.

There's no rush, I can buy it tomorrow during the day.

Moreover, it's nighttime now, and with the night dark and windy, some transactions that are not suitable to be exposed in broad daylight are about to surface.

Jiang Qingwan knew a little about the underground trading channels in Jiang City.

However, they couldn't buy it today because the funds weren't available. Jiang Qingwan was a little disappointed, hoping that even with one less day, the difference in the collected supplies wouldn't be too significant.

Now that everything outside has been taken care of, it's time to return to the space to cultivate.

With a thought, Jiang Qingwan returned to the jade bracelet space. She reappeared at the same spot where she first entered the jade pendant space; it seemed this was her fixed starting point.
