Chapter 5 Activating the Jade Bracelet

There are only a few ways to activate mysterious treasures: telepathic communication, bloodstains, and occasionally, oral administration.

Jiang Qingwan decided to start with the simplest thing.

She tried to communicate with the jade bracelet by speaking.

"I know you are a treasure, may I use you?"

An awkward atmosphere filled the air.

The jade bracelet remained completely still.

There was no other way but to try the blood oath ceremony.

Jiang Qingwan took out a disposable needle she usually used to prick pimples, pricked her fingertip, and smeared the blood onto the bracelet.

Jiang Qingwan waited, but the jade bracelet remained unchanged.

Jiang Qingwan was about to go all out when she picked up a utility knife and disinfectant wipes, intending to give herself a nasty cut after wiping her arm.

As I was choosing which arm to buff, the jade bracelet suddenly lit up, then slowly turned into tiny green specks of light and dissipated into the air.

Jiang Qingwan also entered a mysterious space.

Is this the space that Jiang Si possessed in her previous life?

Jiang Qingwan looked around.

Beneath my feet was soft, green grass, and above me was a clear blue sky—a world untouched by industrial pollution.

In the distance stood an antique courtyard, surrounded by walls and a gate. Jiang Qingwan approached to take a look.

The door opened with a push; it wasn't locked.

There is a small spring surrounded by a pile of stones in the courtyard.

You can't see the source or the direction of the flow, but you can feel that the spring water is always clear and pure, and nothing in the outside world can affect it.

Jiang Qingwan was certain that Jiang Si's jade pendant space in her previous life was definitely not like this.

Because she usually only stores supplies, from an outsider's perspective, there's nothing special about her.

Moreover, given Jiang Si's immature acting skills, any special moments will inevitably feel out of place at some point.

However, Jiang Sizhen's performance was just average, and she played the role of a warehouse worker.

What made her shine and became the talk of the town was her own special ability: poison-based abilities.

Based on her years of experience reading novels, Jiang Qingwan felt she had figured it out: this jade bracelet definitely required the power of bloodline.

After all, it is a family heirloom of the Jiang family. Even if an outsider forces it to be used, it will not exert its original power.

Just like popular internet memes, I don't want someone to pick up my jade bracelet and use it immediately.

Jiang Qingwan didn't rashly jump into the spring to give herself a complete makeover, in case she didn't get the desired results.

What if she turns this spring water into her bathwater? Of course not!

I should go inside and check first.

Stepping inside, I found it to be a study, with several rows of bookshelves filled to the brim with books.

They have a vintage feel; not a single book is printed in the modern or contemporary style. They are all unusual book formats.

So many books, but only a small wooden table and two bundles of cattail leaves.

There was only one book on the table that wasn't on the bookshelf. It was a thin book with only a few pages and no title on the cover.

Perhaps it's not a book. It might be a letter.

Jiang Qingwan sat down and opened the book.

"Young friend, when you came in, the world must have changed a lot."

“I once received a favor from the Jiang family and foresaw that the Jiang family would face this calamity tens of thousands of years later, after which there would be no more Jiang family bloodline in the world.”

"Therefore, I left a jade bracelet for your Jiang family ancestor and told him that it must be passed down to the Jiang family bloodline."

"Otherwise, this jade bracelet would not be able to protect the Jiang family from disaster."

Seeing this, Jiang Qingwan understood that if this jade bracelet was truly a celestial artifact, then it must recognize the power of bloodline.

Therefore, outsiders cannot know what kind of amazing treasure this is.

Unfortunately, in his previous life, Grandpa didn't stand firm to the end, and the jade bracelet was given away.

They probably never imagined that this jade bracelet would have such a big impact on the entire Jiang family.

"I have left you the most suitable cultivation method. You only need to reach out and touch the bookshelf, and the most suitable method for you will appear."

"But I cannot be certain of your talent. I wish you good luck."

This letter, written in the style of a book, was to be burned immediately after reading.

Flames appeared out of nowhere, swirling around the pages of the book; black ash appeared and then disappeared.

This highlights the difference in the world; the world is truly about to change.

Even though Jiang Qingwan was reborn and experienced an unbelievable apocalypse, she never imagined that the concept of cultivation existed.

Thinking about it more broadly, it's possible that humans truly cannot know the world beyond human perception.

Perhaps even Western magic exists.

Jiang Qingwan walked to the bookshelf, first clasped her hands together and bowed respectfully three times, silently praying: Please, please, I beg you, I must max out my talent points.

She desperately wanted to become stronger. The post-apocalyptic world was incredibly dark, filled with treacherous people and lurking dangers.

Morality can only be possessed by a very small minority of people.

It's true that whoever is stronger and has the harder fist has more say and can live better in the apocalypse.

Since I've been reborn, I suppose I won't be too bad off.

Jiang Qingwan reached out and touched the bookshelf.

All the books on the bookshelf emitted a glow, flickering as if they were loading.

The shimmering light moved back and forth between each book.

Finally, a book flew out on its own and landed in front of Jiang Qingwan.

It was a book that radiated golden light.

Nine Revolutions Mysterious Technique

A phantom image appeared inside the room, and a white-haired man appeared.

With sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes, his robes fluttered in the wind, and his aura was cold and dignified, making people dare not look him directly in the eye.

"It seems you have good talent. This is a Xuan-level cultivation technique, which is a top-level technique in our era."
