Jiang Qingwan was too lazy to say more, ignoring the subtext, her eyebrows curved and the corners of her mouth curved into a smile: "Then you've worked hard, little sister. Take good care of yourself, remember to drink more walnut milk to nourish your brain."
Jiang Si put down her spoon, stood up abruptly, and said somewhat angrily, "You—"
Jiang Qingwan didn't wait for her to finish speaking, since it wasn't anything nice anyway, so there was no need to wait.
Jiang Qingwan repeated her request again, very solemnly, "Don't go to Nanshi for now, cancel your plane tickets. We'll go together after New Year's Day."
“Okay, Qingwan. Grandpa will be waiting for you. Come to think of it, we’ve never taken a long-haul flight together before.” Jiang Chaoyue agreed.
"I'm leaving now, goodbye Grandpa." Jiang Qingwan put her hand on the doorknob, opened the door and prepared to leave, but then suddenly remembered something and called back into the house, "Remember to drink more walnut milk. If you don't like it, have some sesame balls to chew on, it's good for your hair too."
With a snap, Jiang Qingwan stepped out of the door and quickly closed it, shutting out all of Jiang Si's replies in one smooth motion.
Jiang Si forcefully stabbed the fork in her hand into the soft white toast, chewing angrily. Her face and expression, illuminated by the overhead light in the room, were distorted and looked even more terrifying.
Jiang Qingwan took out her phone, opened the transportation platform app, and prepared to call a van. The address was the XinXin Breakfast shop, which she had booked with the owner a long time ago.
There were relatively few orders being accepted in the morning. After waiting for a while without any response, Jiang Qingwan gave up waiting and went straight to the underground parking garage of the Jiang family's residence, where she drove away in the car that the Jiang family had previously provided for her.
As soon as Jiang Qingwan got into the car, she turned on the car music, and one DJ song after another started playing, super energetic, although Jiang Qingwan didn't know what was so energetic about it. She just felt inexplicably filled with a joyful atmosphere.
Accompanied by lively background music emanating from a high-quality speaker, Jiang Qingwan drove up to the breakfast shop, parked her car in a roadside parking space, and got out.
The boss was also very observant; he saw Jiang Qingwan still on the roadside and went out to greet her warmly.
"Miss Jiang, you look even more beautiful than I have in just two days!" The boss said with a flattering remark.
"It's all thanks to cosmetic procedures. Micro-doping, micro-doping." Jiang Qingwan liked to joke and started spouting nonsense.
"Hey, who would believe that? No one recovers from cosmetic surgery as quickly as you." The shop owner squinted and admired Jiang Qingwan's beauty once more.
Even without the perfect warm afternoon sun, Jiang Qingwan still shines brightly in the crowd, her stillness as beautiful as a blooming flower, her movement as turbulent as a surging sea, stirring the heartstrings.
"I've already packed it all up in food-grade insulated boxes." The owner led Jiang Qingwan into the shop's kitchen and pointed to a large pile of white foam boxes behind it.
"Look, isn't it professional? It will definitely leave everyone who tries it praising it. It's based on my family's traditional filling preparation techniques and my unique technology developed over many years to wrap more filling in thinner wrappers."
"Absolutely! I trust your skills, boss. I've been working here for so long and I love eating your breakfast the most. It's definitely because your breakfast is so appealing!" Jiang Qingwan nodded in satisfaction.
"Crispy fried dough sticks, fresh out of the fryer, would you like to have a bite first?" The owner used stainless steel tongs to pick up a golden fried dough stick from the oil filter next to him and put it on the plate. The fried dough stick looked tempting, as if it had its own soft-focus filter.
"Okay. And could you also make me a cup of soy milk?" Jiang Qingwan found a seat, picked up a napkin from the table to wipe the table and chair, and then sat down.
The owner placed the fried dough sticks on the table, put the small packets of pre-made soybeans into the soy milk maker, and started grinding and pressing them on the spot.
Jiang Qingwan picked up the disposable chopsticks, unpacked them, and easily broke them apart.
Wow. My strength has clearly improved.
Seeing how effortlessly she broke the chopsticks, and how cleanly the cut was made, Jiang Qingwan felt a surge of pride.
Jiang Qingwan picked up a fried dough stick, took a bite, and found it incredibly crispy yet chewy, with a subtle sweetness from the dough itself, and not greasy at all. It was absolutely delicious.
Jiang Qingwan waited for the boss to finish operating the machine before asking, "How much is it, sis?"
"I haven't calculated it exactly, but I'll definitely give you a discount. These ten boxes will cost ten thousand yuan, a round number." The shopkeeper took out his phone to pay.
Jiang Qingwan gave an OK sign and scanned the code to pay.
The money arrived, and the shop owner's smile widened even more. What a big order! Before, he'd sell out and then pack up. Even though his business was booming, everyone gets up and eats breakfast at different times, so he still had to wait a while to sell everything.
Unlike today, when orders kept piling up shortly after setting up the stall, so much was sold out immediately. Ms. Jiang is not only beautiful, but also a super enthusiastic and kind citizen who loves to show off her food and share it!
"I feel like I can't fit all that in my car. Could you deliver it to my door for me later?" Jiang Qingwan requested.
"Leave it to me, you just wait at home to pick up your order. I'll be your personal delivery driver today." The boss rubbed his hands together, straightened his apron, and agreed without hesitation or reluctance.
"I'll ride my little electric tricycle to your building in a bit, and then use the trolley to help you carry it upstairs. I'll make a few trips."
"Then I'll move this box first," Jiang Qingwan said, pointing to the box of packaged food closest to her.
"Hey, no need, no need, it's just one more box." The shopkeeper waved his hand and quickly refused, "Just take your soy milk home and wait for me."
The owner poured the ground soy milk into a plastic cup and sealed it, then skillfully packed it up using a plastic tube and bag from the counter.
