Chapter 15 Yongning Lane, Let's Go!

"Yongning Lane has been successfully selected. We wish the adventurers a safe journey."

Yan Qing continued walking forward, and this time she finally saw the exit.

Leaving the glowing path, the scene before her suddenly changed, and she found herself at the entrance of an ancient and peaceful alley.

The first thing that comes into view is a huge archway with the words "Yongning Lane" written on it. It looks quite like something from the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Yan Qing observed carefully and concluded that Yongning Lane must have a history of at least several hundred years.

The style of the entire alley was just like what she had seen in period dramas. Being there felt like traveling through time, making her lose track of what day it was.

Standing at the entrance of the alley, she felt a chilling aura wash over her. Even in the sweltering summer heat, she felt a shiver run down her spine, giving her a very bad premonition.

Logically, in the game "Strange Tales of Rules," the difficulty of dungeons should gradually increase from the beginning for adventurers. Normally, this should be a standard two-star dungeon.

But why does this dungeon seem so unlike a two-star dungeon? Could it be that she's hit the jackpot again and leveled up instantly?

Ptooey! Ptooey!

Yan Qing quickly shook off this thought and began to look around the alley entrance, trying to find the "Yongning Alley Rules".

The bracelet on her wrist kept flashing, as if to tell her that the rules were hidden there.

But looking left and right, apart from a huge archway and an endless blue stone wall, she really couldn't see any trace of rules.

Just then, the void behind her suddenly lit up, and a man and a woman were slowly walking towards her.

Yan Qing's eyes lit up. What a handsome man and beautiful woman!

The two seemed to know each other; the man was handsome and dashing, with the debonair air of a young master.

The woman was far more outstanding. Although her appearance wasn't particularly stunning, she could still be considered a beauty. However, her aura was so ethereal and otherworldly that she attracted everyone's attention the moment she appeared.

Yan Qing was no exception. Even though there was a handsome guy right next to her, she was completely mesmerized, staring intently at another woman. Coming to her senses, she scratched her head a little embarrassedly.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself."

The beautiful woman seemed quite used to this kind of situation; upon hearing her words, she merely smiled, her demeanor haughty and proud.

"It's nothing."

The man beside her, however, glanced at her with an expression of utter disdain, making no attempt to conceal his contempt.

"Another country bumpkin. Jiajia, let's ignore her and find the 'Yongning Lane Rules' first."

Jiajia? Hearing this name, Yan Qing suddenly had a bad feeling. Could it be the person she was thinking of?

As she watched the two gradually walk into the alley, her eyelids suddenly twitched a few times.

Yan Qing shook her head, deciding to put all these miscellaneous things aside for now and focus on finding the rules of "Yongning Lane".

At that moment, the void behind them lit up again, and someone else arrived.

The newcomer was a tall man, who looked to be around twenty-four or twenty-five years old. He was wearing a khaki long trench coat, and his entire body was covered up.

If she remembered correctly, it should be summer now, so why wasn't this person hot?

However, he was much more pleasing to the eye than the previous young master, not because he was particularly handsome. He wasn't actually the type of handsome man who was very refined, but he had a very prominent cold and hard temperament, which clearly kept people at a distance.

Hmm, this person seems very unapproachable. Yan Qing silently raised her guard.

When the man got a little closer, her eyes widened instantly—this man had different colored pupils in his eyes, one black and the other a deep blue.

Wait, she seems to have missed something?

After racking her brains, Yan Qing finally realized that the black and blue heterochromatic eyes were the very symbol of Yue Qi, the male protagonist in the original novel "The End of the World"!

This man—this man—is actually Yue Qi, the male protagonist of the book?!

Yan Qing said that today's events were indeed quite stimulating. The male and female protagonists in the book were characters she had always avoided like the plague.

No wonder, the identity she's currently in the book is that of a cannon fodder female supporting character who secretly harbors a crush on the male lead. And she's the kind with a negative combat power index at that.

Is God playing a cruel joke on her? It's like she's doomed to meet her fate; her bad luck is so bad she could buy a lottery ticket every time.

Yue Qi felt a little helpless at this moment. The girl in front of him suddenly froze on the spot. He called her name several times, but she didn't respond.

After finally coming to her senses, she started looking at her with the same attitude she had towards a plague, like a highly vigilant kitten.

He gave a self-deprecating, bitter laugh. Although he had always been incredibly unlucky, he was used to being alone and wasn't bothered by it.

However, his unique physical condition makes him unsuitable for teaming up with others. The reason is that once he has a teammate, that teammate will receive twice the bad luck he has, while his own luck will improve.

Yue Qi didn't consider himself a great philanthropist, but he didn't want to implicate innocent people.

In this bizarre world of rules, whoever becomes his teammate is practically enjoying a hellish start with all sorts of negative buffs stacked up.

Thinking of this, he instinctively took two steps back, distancing himself from Yan Qing.

Yan Qing was still in a daze when she suddenly heard a dungeon notification sound:
