Yan Qing shouted, but received no response. However, the soft, yielding sensation under her feet told her that there was indeed someone there.
Yan Qing looked down and discovered a small crack right where she was standing. The crack was very narrow, and inside was a woman who was unconscious.
Even more surprisingly, she recognized this person—the round-faced girl who was the only one among the adventurers from yesterday who had spoken to her.
The little girl had already fallen into a coma. Not far behind her, there were two men in the same state, all three of them appearing to be unconscious.
Furthermore, judging from the round-faced girl's lips, they were slightly purple, suggesting that she had been poisoned.
Yan Qing pulled out her first-aid kit, opened several small bottles, and stuffed them into each one of the antidote pills she had bought. These were valuable items she had purchased from the online marketplace, supposedly capable of neutralizing most poisons; she hoped they would work.
After waiting for about ten minutes, and after being given water again, the girl finally responded.
Yan Qing's eyes lit up; it seemed to have worked!
So she quickly followed suit and gave the remaining two men the drug as well.
After finishing her work, she turned around and found the girl had opened her eyes and was looking at her with a joyful expression.
"Sister, I've seen you again—"
Seemingly to prevent her from running away, the girl disregarded her own weakness and grabbed her sleeve tightly, refusing to let go.
Yan Qing sat down helplessly. "This one—"
"Su Su, my name is Su Su," the girl said.
"Okay, Su Su—calm down, can we talk this out?" Yan Qing tried to communicate with her, but Su Su gripped her hand even tighter.
"No, I'm afraid that if I let go, you'll disappear again."
Yan Qing was completely convinced. "Fine, fine, I won't leave. Since that's the case, tell me, what exactly happened? How did you get poisoned here?"
Hearing her words, Su Su actually started to cry. After a while, she calmed down.
"Yesterday you suddenly disappeared, and before we could even react, we heard someone shout that he had received a system notification that he had failed to complete the level! — Then, everyone collapsed instantly."
"Then how come you're alright?" Yan Qing asked curiously. How did they survive?
"We three also heard the system notification, but this time it said the instance has officially opened, welcoming us to the 'Zhang Family Old Residence Instance'."
Su Su hesitated for a moment, then told Yan Qing about the system notification she had heard.
It would have been better if she hadn't listened; the more she listened, the stranger she became.
After thinking for a moment, she took out a piece of parchment from her bosom and handed it to Su Su.
"Is this the 'rules of the Zhang family's old residence' you're referring to?"
Su Su's eyes widened in surprise. Sun Ning's guess was right; the rules were in the hands of this white-clad maid!
"Sister in white, how did you get this?"
Yan Qing sighed, "It's a long story. Also, don't call me Sister in White. My name is Yan Qing, and like you, I'm an adventurer who came here."
"Oh my god, it's true!" Su Su looked at Sun Ning with adoration. "Sun Ning said the same thing. We were lucky to survive yesterday, but we were trapped here. Sun Ning and Guo Hu left me here and went out on their own. When they came back, they brought this—"
She carefully took a piece of black parchment from her inner pocket and handed it to Yan Qing.
"This parchment has the rules for 'The Fallen Flower Cave Maiden' written on it. We tried it, but it didn't work at all. So Sun Ning said there should be other instances here, and adventurers must be looking for it. He told me to keep it safe."
Her tone sounded utterly incredulous, "I never imagined the adventurer would be you, sister! You even brought us the real rules; with them, we can finally get out!"
Yan Qing comforted her for a few words, then focused on the black parchment.
The black parchment now had white writing on it.
"The Rules of the Fallen Flower Cave" - Part 2:
If you've made it this far, it means you've discovered the secret of the Zhang family's old house. Clever girl, what will you do next? I look forward to your answer.
To show my sincerity, I'll let you in on a little secret—when the moon completely disappears, long-sealed memories will be sealed away forever. The key is in your hands; remember, you only get one chance.
Yan Qing lowered her head, seemingly lost in thought.
Su Su cautiously spoke up, "Sister Yan, we were also very confused at first. Why was there a black parchment? And the rules on it don't seem like normal rules at all. Instead, it looks more like a letter to someone. —Big sister, is this for you?"
Yan Qing silently memorized the contents of the parchment, then put it away and shook her head at Su Su.
"To be honest, I'm not sure either. However, it's certain that we're currently in two different instances."
Su Su was still very curious, "Sister, how did you get here?"
Just as Yan Qing was about to speak, she turned her head and saw Sun Ning and the other person who had just woken up, so she quickly called Su Su to check on them.
The antidote seemed to work; all three men's lips had returned to their normal color. Except for Su Su, who was still a little weak, the other two boys recovered even faster.
Yan Qing noticed the boy who looked very calm. I think his name was Sun Ning. He seemed to be the backbone of the three of them.
She was also very curious about how this person got hold of the black parchment.
Su Su was showing off her treasure to Sun Ning, "Look, this is the 'Zhang Family Old House Rules,' which Sister Yan gave me."
"Thank you!" Sun Ning stood up, walked directly towards Yan Qing, bowed deeply in gratitude, and said.
"Thanks to you for saving us, otherwise the three of us would probably be dead here."
“It’s alright,” Yan Qing waved her hand and asked directly, “How did you get here?”
Sun Ning answered readily, "It's an invitation. The inviter is Zhang Nana, and the recipient is Su Su. The invitation also states that you must bring two male companions. So Guo Hu and I came too."
The Guo Hu he mentioned was the tall, burly boy who had just opened his eyes and was staring at her as if he had seen a ghost.
"Zhang, Zhang Nana, you, how are you alive again?!"
