Chapter 250 Seven Star Tower 2: Corpses Littered Everywhere

Yan Qing remained rooted to the spot, not moving an inch.

Yue Lai realized something was wrong and quickly went back to pull her away. As expected, the moment he touched Yan Qing, he was frozen in place.

"What's going on?" Yue Qi tried to lift his foot, but he couldn't lift it at all.

Wen Jiajia also sensed something was wrong. She was about to turn back when Yan Qing stopped her.

"Don't come any closer! Don't make contact with me! Otherwise, neither of us will get out!"

Wen Jiajia was startled. Looking at the two people who were unable to move and Yan Che who was unconscious on Yue Qi's back, even she, as stupid as she was, knew that something was wrong.

"What's wrong with you all?"

Yan Qing gave a wry smile. "It seems I've dragged Yue Qi into this. Your mission is over, but I've probably run into some trouble here, so I guess I won't be able to get out for now."

She looked at Yue Qi beside her, her face full of guilt, "Yue Qi was implicated because of me. As for you, hurry up and get out of here. If you dawdle any longer, we'll probably all have to stay here."

Wen Jiajia was a ruthless person. Since the situation was like this, and she couldn't help, she simply left her with a pile of exploding balls and left without looking back.

As for Su Su, she offered them a few words of comfort but didn't stay.

After the two left, Yan Qing looked at Yue Qi with some guilt, "I know you want to leave the most right now, after all, the sect has undergone a major upheaval, but you've been dragged into this mess because of me. In the end, I'm the one who wronged you."

Yue Qi remained calm. "I've never felt that you're a burden. On the contrary, I'd love to be alone with you."

Yan Qing was successfully amused by him, pointed to Yue Qi's back, and laughed.

"Wrong, my brother is still here!"

Yue Qi laughed as well, "Don't worry, he won't get in any way."

The atmosphere between the two was quite harmonious when suddenly the transparent passage in front of them disappeared. Instead, a new passage inexplicably appeared to their side, and they were finally able to move again.

Yan Qing stretched her legs and made a somewhat helpless suggestion.

"It seems that we have no choice but to take that path."

Yue Qi looked at the newly appeared passage; it was still a dense jungle, and like that, there was no end in sight.

The two exchanged a smile and stepped into the newly appeared passage without hesitation.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, taking turns to eat and rest twice, the two finally saw the transparent light path at the end of the passage.

"Let's go!" Yan Qing also got excited. During her break, she bought a lot of self-defense tools and weapons on the Sanglingling app, mainly because the more the merrier.

Yue Qi was completely armed from head to toe, making him look even more unapproachable.

Emerging from the passage, they found themselves on yet another small hill. However, this time they found themselves on a stone staircase leading up the hill.

The stone steps looked quite old, stretching all the way to the top of the mountain. Judging by their appearance, they were probably halfway up the mountain.

only--

"Why is there so much blood on these stone steps?" Yan Qing sniffed. The air was filled with a faint smell of blood. All the stone steps in front of and behind her were covered with bloodstains of varying shades, which looked particularly shocking.

Yue Qi summoned his longsword, and the nameless swordsman also appeared, raising the alert level to level one.

He picked up a torn piece of clothing from the ground, examined it carefully, and finally said with great certainty,

"These are monks' robes from Famen Temple."

"Famen Temple?" Yan Qing felt that this place looked familiar, but she couldn't quite place it right now. "Could this be Famen Temple?"

Yue Qi shook his head. "No, Famen Temple is located in a valley, not on a mountain. Besides, look over there—"

He pointed to a distant mountaintop, where a corner of red walls and yellow tiles could be vaguely seen peeking out from the jungle, clearly an ancient temple building.

Yan Qing's reaction was direct; she finally remembered that she had been to this place before.

"Mount Qingcheng, this is Mount Qingcheng!"

Yue Qi was startled by her. "Qingcheng Mountain? You mean Qingcheng Mountain, one of the three hellish ultimate dungeons? Are you sure?!"

It wasn't that he doubted it, but rather that the two of them had traveled all the way from western Hunan to Chengdu, Sichuan in one go—wasn't that a bit too far?

Yan Qing carefully observed the surrounding scenery and finally confirmed that this was indeed Qingcheng Mountain.

And to make matters worse, she had walked this path once before the arrival of the Apocalyptic Rules of the Strange World.

Because it was nighttime that time, and the moon was dark and the wind was howling, she was so focused on climbing that she didn't pay any attention to the scenery along the way. This time, it was thanks to that small temple that she was able to come to her senses.

The two continued uphill, and corpses began to appear along the way.

The corpses all appeared to have died recently, and judging from their clothing, they were all skilled martial artists. Their deaths varied, and they lay scattered haphazardly on the mountain path.

Yue Qi frowned. "Something's not right. Why are all these people disciples of the Xuanmen sect?"

"Disciples of the Xuanmen Sect?" Yan Qing was also surprised. Looking up from where she was standing, the entire stone steps and the surrounding jungle were densely packed with corpses in various gruesome states. If they were all Xuanmen Sect disciples, there were simply too many of them.

"Didn't you say that there are very few disciples in the entire Xuanmen sect?" Yan Qing asked, puzzled. "Then where did these people come from?"

Yue Qi remained silent, his face grim. Right in front of him lay a woman's corpse, dressed in the exact same style as him.

Yan Qing also noticed that this person might be a disciple of Yue Qi's sect.

The woman's death was gruesome; she had been pierced through the chest from behind with a spear. Her killer was the man in the yellow robe lying beside her; he had a sword wound on his neck, clearly indicating he had been killed with a single blow.

The person wielding the sword was the deceased woman. Her eyes were wide open, and she appeared to be filled with shock and anger.

Yan Qing wasn't stupid; she could easily imagine the scene from the positions of the two corpses.

The woman was walking side-by-side with the man when he suddenly attacked her from behind with a spear. As the spear pierced her body, she instinctively realized she had been ambushed. She then drew her sword and swiftly slit his neck, killing them both instantly.

She was somewhat impressed. This woman, even in the face of death, could react so cleanly and swiftly that she was utterly awestruck. She must be quite a figure within the Tianxuan Sect.

“She was my senior sister.” Yue Qi slowly closed her eyelids, took out a white cloth from his backpack, and covered the woman’s body.

"My senior sister was exceptionally strong, ranking among the top ten of the new generation of disciples in our Heavenly Profound Sect. Now she's dead here... I—"
