Chapter 45 The Adventurer's Choice of Fate

After the fat man finished speaking, everyone behind him turned around in unison, all looking in Yan Qing's direction. The meaning was clear: among us, you've experienced two dungeons, so go for it!

Yan Qing felt immense pressure being stared at by all seven people. Nevertheless, she cautiously walked to the fork in the path and began to examine it carefully.

Xiao Tao had already been put down by her and was now by her side.

At first glance, the three paths look almost identical, but you can vaguely tell that they lead to three different buildings.

At the end of the path on the left, a dense forest could be vaguely seen, with a building hidden among the trees, only a corner of it visible. She could tell that it was a very old building.

The path ended in a bare area, and Yan Qing could vaguely hear something making noises, though she couldn't make it out clearly. Because there was no obstruction, she could see clearly that it was a very beautiful red house.

Finally, there's the path on the right, which ends at a point covered in cobblestones. As for the building, it's just an ordinary dormitory building, the kind of typical student dormitory in a university.

It seems this will affect their future allocation of areas. Moreover, with so many people involved, the distribution is unlikely to be even; there will inevitably be both good and bad distributions.

She had originally planned to use the bracelet she bought from the "Lingling" app to guide her, but the bracelet remained silent, suggesting there were no supernatural entities around. In that case, she decided to rely on her intuition.

Yan Qing pointed to the path on the right and said, "I want to go there."

"good!"

"good--"

"It's settled then!"

"We'll listen to you!"

...

The seven people seemed to have agreed beforehand, nodding in unison as if what Yan Qing had just said was an imperial edict, without the slightest objection.

Now Yan Qing felt embarrassed. "Classmates, actually I'm not very confident either." She had just suddenly remembered what the ticket seller had said: the right was the lucky direction. Besides, the building on the right looked the most ordinary, which suited her low-key personality.

Xiao Shuo took the lead in supporting her, saying, "Yan Qing, just choose boldly. We won't blame you if you're wrong anyway. In this strange and unpredictable world, every extra day you live is a bonus."

"That's right, that's right!"

Xiao Shuo, true to his word, immediately stepped onto the path to the right. The others followed suit without hesitation, all choosing the right path.

The moment they stepped onto the path, a pleasant system notification rang in everyone's ears:

"Please note that the Adventurer class has been successfully bound. Doctors and nurses, please report to your assigned departments promptly."

The eight people looked at each other in disbelief. Xiao Shuo repeated himself, somewhat incredulously.

"Doctors, nurses? Is this what our profession is?"

Yan Qing nodded. "It seems that's true. However, I think this should be a good thing."

Her words left everyone confused. Sun Rui, the skinny guy, raised his hand on behalf of everyone and asked, "Why is it a good thing for doctors and nurses?"

Yan Qing pointed to the huge white building in the distance, "Have you all forgotten where we are? Wenshan Sanatorium, this is a hospital!"

"Yes!" Her reminder made everyone realize the point instantly. Indeed, aren't doctors and nurses the ones with the greatest advantage in a hospital?

"Alright, let's hurry up and go." Yan Qing urged them, not wanting to linger here any longer.

Just as they stepped onto the path on the right, the second group arrived at the fork in the road. However, this time, only two glowing paths awaited them.

The pretty Zhou Ru didn't look too good. Only now did she realize that the eight people she had looked down on the most were actually the most advantageous team.

Although she harbored resentment towards the woman who assigned the task, she had no choice but to hurry and make her selection. Because not far behind her, she had already spotted a familiar figure.

"Hey Zhou, we meet again!" This annoying voice came from the arrogant Jin Zijie. Although Jin Zijie looked down on Yan Qing's shabby appearance with her family, he cared a lot about Zhou Ru.

It's hard to say how much of this concern is genuine these days.

Zhou Ru turned around and saw Jin Zijie and his men approaching. She couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.

"I didn't expect you to be so quick! But we're all too late; those eight people have already gone in." She pointed to the dimly lit path on the right. "Looks like they chose this one."

Jin Zijie seemed quite indifferent. "Arriving early doesn't necessarily mean you'll choose well; it's a matter of probability. But now there are only two paths left. Miss Zhou, would you like to come with me?"

He made a move to walk down the small path to the left, clearly having already decided. Because both teams were large, the woman who issued the mission had specifically stated that everything was decided by the two leaders. Therefore, Zhou Ru was now his competitor.

Zhou Ru was even less polite; unfortunately, she also had her eye on the left-hand path. So, she forcefully blocked Jin Zijie's way and took the lead onto the glowing path on the left, with the rest of the group immediately following behind.

Jin Zijie was so angry at her actions that his face turned ashen. He could only angrily throw down a sentence, "We'll see!" Then he reluctantly went to the only glowing path in the middle.

Just as the two teams were vying for the prize, Yan Qing and her group arrived at the dormitory building at the end of the road. There, a young man in a white coat was waiting for them.

Yan Qing stood at the back, discreetly observing the man. He looked to be no more than twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with a naturally smiling face that made him appear very kind and approachable.

He introduced himself to Yan Qing and the others, "Welcome to our Wenshan Sanatorium family, everyone. I am Mu Yang, an ophthalmologist. Today, I will be the one to welcome you all. Please follow me to complete your respective procedures."

Mu Yang led them to the lobby on the first floor and helped them complete their onboarding procedures one by one. Yan Qing received a work ID card tied with a green ribbon, which clearly stated her profession—doctor.

Apart from Yue Qi, who was unconscious, everyone else received a nurse's work ID.

"Dear colleagues, your dormitory room number is on the back of your work ID. Please go to your assigned room. Don't worry, the dormitory building is very safe."

After giving his instructions, Mu Yang waved and smiled as he took his leave.

Only then did the group have a chance to check their work IDs. Yan Qing immediately examined her ID thoroughly. Sure enough, there was a thin piece of parchment tucked inside.

Upon opening it, I was surprised to find it was "Nurse Rules".
