Director Xu pressed his hand down, and everyone instantly fell silent.
Just as he was about to say something, a male doctor in a white coat in front of Yan Qing suddenly moved his sleeve. Yan Qing saw it clearly: a tiny cockroach crawled out of his sleeve.
Director Xu instantly became enraged, pounding his chest and roaring at the top of his lungs.
"How many times have I told you! Don't try anything funny during meetings! Why are some of you still disobeying?! Tell me! Why aren't you listening!"
He walked up to Yan Qing, dislocated one of the male doctor's arms, and put it in his mouth, crunching it loudly.
Yan Qing watched as the male doctor's arm bled profusely, and those around her drooled with desire. However, due to Director Xu's intimidating presence, no one dared to make a move.
Director Xu gnawed his arm down to the bone before disgustingly tossing it to the ground. Turning around, he shoved his bloodied, mangled mouth right in front of Yan Qing. At such close range, Yan Qing could even smell the lingering blood in his mouth, mixed with a putrid odor—it was utterly repulsive.
Director Xu pressed his face against hers, staring intently at her for a full minute. Yan Qing, however, remained completely still, her eyes downcast.
After a long silence, Director Xu turned his face away, looking utterly bored, and said, "Tch, boring!"
Then he turned and walked to the door, placing his hand on the doorknob.
Yan Qing was just about to relax when she noticed everyone else was still standing perfectly straight, so she stiffened her neck and remained motionless. The next moment, Director Xu turned around with incredible speed and appeared right in front of her.
"Yan Qing, your job is to be responsible for beds one through twenty, understand? Understand?! Say it! Understand?!
Director Xu's questions grew louder with each one, and Yan Qing dared not move, but she couldn't remain silent either. Fortunately, she knew a little ventriloquism, which allowed her to answer loudly while keeping her entire body still.
