Back in the office, the skinned rabbit lazily sat on a recliner woven from animal fur, munching on a rotten carrot while adding a tally mark to his spreadsheet.
Ha, another one sent to his death. He should be eligible for a promotion this month, including the previous ones!
I've seen stupid people, but I've never seen anyone this stupid. A human going out to make money all by himself? Haha, does he really think ghost money comes from thin air?
He had seen many people like this when he first started managing the place. Back then, there were quite a few two-legged sheep, of all kinds and appearances. They were all eager to go out, but they were either scared to death, eaten by the tourists, or turned into other species, or became the lowest-ranking animals here, responsible for cleaning the park.
Just as the skinned rabbit was dreaming of its future promotion, the office doorbell suddenly rang.
This is specially prepared for the animals that have been sent outside. If they want to return to their enclosure or finish get off work, they can use this doorbell to tell the skinned rabbits.
Skinned Rabbit glanced at the wall clock with a shattered corner of the glass. Only half an hour had passed, and he couldn't hold on any longer. Skinned Rabbit reached out and pressed the video doorbell while imagining the other person crying and begging for mercy. It must be so exciting!
'bite.'
On the screen below the doorbell, Su Luo's face appeared—a face without any damage.
"Hey, big rabbit, can you hear me?"
"Open the door quickly, I've earned enough ghost money."
Skinned rabbit: ?
It wasn't just a question mark; it even uttered a phrase it hadn't used in a long time.
What?! Are you kidding me? He didn't mishear. This two-legged sheep, who looked so delicious with its delicate skin and tender flesh, actually said she'd transferred ghost money and needed it back after completing her mission?!
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
The skinned rabbit hurriedly got up, led himself to the recliner behind him, his lips twitching as he stared intently at the screen, unsure of what to say.
Calm down, calm down. Maybe this two-legged sheep is bluffing him, or maybe she hasn't completed her mission and is just trying to trick him into opening the door!
The two remained locked in a stalemate.
Although Su Luo couldn't see what was happening inside, she could roughly guess that the skinned rabbit had a perverse sense of humor and probably wanted to wait for the tourists outside to come up and grope her.
He raised his hand and waved the ghost money in his hand at the screen, proving to the skinned rabbit that what he said was true.
Sigh, the weather is getting hotter and hotter. I just saw those weird creatures sweating profusely. It must be tough for them. They're so tired, yet they still have to give her money. Tsk tsk, they're all so weird!
Thinking of this, Su Luo folded the ghost money in his hand into the shape of a small folding fan to fan himself and try to relieve the heat.
The strange tourists nearby did not leave; instead, they formed a circle, looking at Su Luo with a hint of anticipation.
The skinned rabbit stared in surprise at the leisurely Su Luo on the screen, raised its hand to touch its head which was now devoid of fur, and couldn't figure out what tricks this two-legged sheep had used to actually make money and even make those strange tourists look expectant.
Is he crazy, or is the world crazy?
Reluctantly opening the door, Su Luo pushed it open and went inside. Turning back to wave at the strange creatures that had watched her leave, she said, "Tomorrow, early tomorrow!"
According to the rules, Su Luo has received over a hundred tourists today and earned one hundred underworld coins, thus naturally meeting the promotion requirements.
When the brown bear in the gatehouse saw Su Luo waving goodbye unharmed, its eyes widened in disbelief as it approached the iron gate and instinctively shook it.
Noticing the brown bear's actions, Su Luo turned around and greeted her roommate warmly, "Hello roommate, goodbye roommate."
"I'll be waiting for you in the new dorm!"
Brown bear: ...
Holy crap, how did she do that?
Unlike the initial, low-grade enclosures, the most important feature of the more luxurious animal dormitories is cleanliness. At least there is no excrement everywhere, no pungent odor, and the floor is mopped, clean, and bright.
The food was no longer leftovers in dog bowls, but fast food served on human plates. It had little nutritional value, but tasted good and was a popular junk food before the apocalypse.
As for the bed, it was a small wooden plank with soft cotton on top, which served as a mattress—enough to make do.
not bad.
The multi-person room turned into a single room, and there was even a single bed, making it much safer than the six-star monster dungeon she had imagined.
If there were other two-legged sheep here, they would probably look at Sulo like he was a monster.
Perhaps only this species in the entire zoo would find leveling up easy. Just look at the many mixed species of monsters in the park to know how difficult it is for someone as complete as Sulo to be.
The next day.
After finishing his fried chicken, Su Luo wandered around the room. While junk food was delicious, he couldn't eat it every day; it would harm his health and cause him to gain weight. Since he could upgrade from multiplayer to single-player, perhaps there were other rules for advancement beyond single-player.
Sure enough, Su Luo saw the rules of the mansion on the door of the single luxury mansion.
[Rule 1: Business hours are from 2 PM to 2 AM daily. Businesses with high profits may adjust their hours accordingly.]
Rule 2: The venue must receive at least one thousand visitors daily.
Rule 3: You must earn at least 500 ghost coins every day (no upper limit).
[Rule 4: If any of the above three rules are not met simultaneously on a given day, one point will be deducted. Accumulating three points will result in a relegation to the multi-person enclosure (Note: Newly promoted animals have a three-day protection period before points are officially calculated).]
