"How's business?"
"Uh... not so good. Everyone is having a hard time. I usually come out after I finish work at the factory... otherwise I can't support my children."
Fang Ming looked at her embarrassed expression and continued to ask, "Working two jobs is really hard enough. Isn't it enough to cover your expenses?"
"Sir, judging from your appearance, you are an overseas student from the East, right?" The woman sighed slightly, "You people who live in the inner city find it difficult to understand us poor people outside."
As soon as the conversation started, the woman continued to talk.
"According to the rules above, the supplies I get from working in the factory for a day are only enough for three meals a day, but if there are elderly people or children at home who can't work, they will go hungry. If I get sick accidentally, the supplies of medicines are so expensive that it makes people despair."
"They always say that monsters are rampant and supplies are scarce, and ask us to understand... But we are almost dying, so what's the point of understanding..."
"Are you all volunteers?" Fang Ming interrupted her.
"Uh...I volunteered."
Fang Ming nodded. "I'm quite curious about your industrial chain. Who organized you to do business here?"
If he guessed correctly, this should be the business of the gang. Curiosity made him want to find out more. The kitten in his arms had fallen asleep.
The woman's face turned pale and she hurriedly reached out to grab him.
"Sir, let's not talk about this. I'll serve you. Just a small piece of bread. Half a piece will do."
Fang Ming stretched out his fingers, the shadow twisted on his fingertips, and looked at her with a smile, "Do you think I'm easy to talk to?"
Seeing the shadow, the woman shuddered, "At the end of the alley, in the first building, in the basement."
The shadow between the fingers spread into the woman's mouth. She shook her head in horror, tears unable to help but overflowing, her eyes full of desire and pleading for life.
Suddenly, a bitter sweet taste came from her mouth, and a piece of dark chocolate was stuffed into her mouth.
Fang Ming patted her head soothingly and gave her a malicious blessing, "I wish you a prosperous business."
Two bags of toast fell into her arms, and Fang Mingren had disappeared.
…
The tattooed black man pushed open the door of the building, and a room full of naked men immediately stood up.
"Fuck! What do you want to do? Kill me? Come on!"
The black man yelled at them and slapped each of them. None of the big men dared to say a word.
"Mary! Where the hell have you been!"
A fat woman with three layers of fat on her body came in with a smile, "Master, you are here. How did these lowly people make you angry? All of you, get out and kneel outside!"
Mary greeted the black man and said to him with a greasy smile, "You haven't been here for three days. I just caught a good catch and am waiting to honor you."
The black man opened his mouth and spat a bunch of thick phlegm on the fat woman's face, "You useless thing! You caused me so much trouble last time, and you have the nerve to smile here! Tell me, what good stuff do you have?"
The fat woman wiped her face with her sleeve nonchalantly, "This one is special. I caught a sheep in the inner city and never let anyone touch it. I left it for you."
The arm with bulging veins grabbed Mary's neck and said, "You are so brave, have you never died?"
Mary smiled and said, "As long as you are happy, anything is fine."
The black man licked his lips, and his ferocious expression slowly turned into a smile, "Clean up the mess, let me go check the goods first."
Then he went down to the basement with ease.
Mary took out a tissue and wiped her delicate face carefully. The more she wiped, the colder her face became.
