Chapter 191 God’s Believers (2/2)

"When I found out the plane had crashed, my first reaction wasn't pain or regret," she said with hesitation. "I felt emptiness and nothingness."

"My loved ones who brought me into this world have disappeared. I am like a lonely boat floating on the sea, lost in confusion and unable to see where I will end up."

"At that time, I kept thinking, if I met him that day, what would he say to me? Would he apologize to me humbly, or would he stick his neck out and blame me, and then leave in a bad mood?"

Xiuqing held Fang Ming's hand and placed the silver pendant on her chest on his hand, letting him feel the cold touch.

"Later, when I was tidying up my mother's study, I found this pendant, and I smiled for no reason."

"The old man will definitely hold the scriptures and tell me in a mysterious way that God will guide the lost lambs."

"For several years after graduation, I worked and lived alone, relying on my medical skills to make a living so I wouldn't starve to death. Sometimes I felt like this was the end of my life."

"Will God really guide lost lambs? I don't believe it, but if this really happens, I will pray with all my heart, at least I can give an explanation to my parents."

Fang Ming put his hand on Xiuqing's chin, asked her to look up at him, and carefully looked at her current appearance.

The wandering eyes are somewhat out of focus, and the cold expression reveals a sense of alienation and loneliness.

After losing her loved ones, she fell into a state of emptiness. She felt like she couldn't find her home in the world and she had lost the direction of her life.

If it weren't for the apocalyptic disaster that brought about a change in the situation, Xiuqing might have ended up choosing to exile himself and go towards exile.

Fang Ming's fingertips slid across her face and he whispered softly, "God will guide the lost lambs..."

Xiuqing lowered her head absentmindedly, held Fang Ming's hand, paused for a moment, lowered her head and bit his hand hard.

Fang Ming looked at the teeth marks on his hand and said, "You learned bad things from Cheng Yixia."

Xiuqing had come back to her senses and stretched out her slender index finger to press on his forehead, "Who told you to talk nonsense? Do you want me to be your believer?"

Fang Ming expressed regret that you had discovered him, "Since you don't believe in God, why don't you believe in me?"

Xiuqing's cold face showed a smile, "First, take your hands away from my T-shirt. How can you touch a believer?"

Fang Ming shook his head. "We are on a date. How can we date without touching each other?"

Xiuqing was so angry that she laughed and stretched out her hand to pull the flesh on Fang Ming's cheek, "You still remember it's a date, come with me and go shopping."

Fang Ming felt like he was trapped in the hole he had dug for himself. With a bitter face, he hugged Xiuqing as he walked around the church.

The white cathedral in this port city was built in a majestic manner. It did not suffer much damage after the impact of the apocalyptic disaster, and its overall style is grand and solemn.

There was an incongruous bustle of people coming and going inside the church. Apart from old nuns in nun uniforms, most of the people coming and going were medical staff in white coats.

The church was converted into a hospital, which provides both physical and spiritual treatment, and it seems pretty reliable.

Fang Ming used his skill of confusing the mind to change his appearance. The two of them walked in casually and observed the surroundings.

The church's work was not abandoned, and Fang Ming saw several priests and nuns doing their daily prayers.

However, the yards on both sides were temporarily converted into field hospitals, and many lightly wounded soldiers were placed here to recuperate. It was probably because there were not enough beds in the local hospital.

Xiuqing was walking around with great interest, and sometimes her occupational disease would flare up...she would go up to this injured patient to ask about his condition, and that doctor would go up to lend a hand or hand over some tools.

Fang Ming commented that you are still too idle. If he hadn't used illusion to cover it up, people would have kicked you out long ago.

The two men turned into a yard and saw several small rooms. Some people were queuing in an orderly manner in front of wooden doors.

Fang Ming took a closer look and his eyes immediately lit up. He held Xiuqing's shoulders and said seriously, "Sister, I want to play with this!"

Xiuqing looked over and saw a sign in front of the wooden door with three words written on it:

Confessional.
