Nuya stepped hesitantly across the Shadow Gate, and endless darkness enveloped his vision. But a moment later, he heard the rustling sound of fallen leaves.
The wolf head looked around. It was in a forest, not the eerie and mysterious place it had imagined.
The forest was covered with dense vegetation and the gentle breeze soothed its irritable mood a little.
The humans and the giant snake seemed to have left. A winged girl was sitting on a branch not far away, holding a shadow kitten in her arms.
The girl looked at Nuya with a look of curiosity in her eyes. "You, Big Dog, I'm Heiyu."
Nuya looked at her warily, "Who are you?"
Hei Yu leaped down from a great height, his three pairs of large wings stirring up a strong wind, and he landed in front of the gray wolf.
"Father told me to tell you to stay in the mountains first. There are timid maids in the manor, and I don't want you to scare them."
