Chapter 159 Flattening the Dawn Base

"Brother Lu! Congratulations! We have to treat ourselves to something good tonight!"

Lu Luo leaned back in his recliner, comfortably sipping the leftover tea leaves. "Hmm! You decide what to do! Call all the brothers!"

"Okay! Then..."

The man's gaze fell on the small key. He knew all the supplies were in the warehouse, and he couldn't help but swallow hard.

Lu Luo sat up knowingly, twirling the key in his hand a couple of times. "Let's go! Eat to our hearts' content today!"

"Okay! Thank you, Brother Lu! You're so generous, Brother Lu!"

The man wisely took the keys and quietly left.

"Got it! Guys! Let's party hard today!"

"good!"

As soon as we got on the highway, the view was expansive, and everyone could see dense black shadows in the distance through the windows; their direction was towards Dawn Base!

The entire scene was like a dark cloud looming over the city, and everyone was afraid to breathe. Even though they were far apart, they still felt a chill run through them!

Thankfully they came out with us! Judging by this momentum, let alone fighting them, they could flatten the entire base.

Li Xin was so excited he couldn't speak. Had he saved the universe in his past life? In this life, he always manages to escape death!

"Brother Xin! What's wrong? Don't cry! We've already escaped, haven't we?"

Li Xin wiped away the hot tears from the corners of his eyes. "Who's crying! I'm just feeling so lucky to have met them."

"Yes! Look, those hordes of zombies are terrifying! Luckily we ran fast! But...sigh, it's a pity, there are still some people in the base who don't want to come."

"Don't worry about it! Life and death are predestined, wealth and honor are determined by fate. If they're lucky, they might still escape!"

Li Xin thought of the basement he had just dug a while ago, wondering if they would be able to find it!

The people on the bus also saw the dense swarms of zombies in the distance.

"Grandma! Grandma! It's a zombie!"

"Little Apple, come here quickly! Grandma will protect you! Don't be afraid! Don't be afraid!"

Wow! It really is! There are so many zombies!

The children gathered around the window, discussing what they knew. They only knew that anything that looked like them was called a zombie, and that they had to run away if they saw one, or it would bite them!

Now everyone is starting to feel grateful that they made the right decision.

But the people at Dawn Base didn't see it that way; a queue had been set up in the center of the plaza.

Everyone came happily to participate, eating fast food meat they had never eaten before and drinking beverages they had never drunk before.

"Comrades, the fact that we are all gathered here proves that we are all lucky people. Today, everyone here can eat and drink as much as they want and have a great time!"

"good!"

The rhythm of the music immersed everyone in joy, and the ground trembled more and more, but no one noticed.

"Boss! How about it? Everyone really admires you now!"

Lu Luo smiled slightly, "Well done, I'll promote you to deputy base commander tomorrow!"

"Really? Boss, I'd gladly do anything for you, thank you!"

"So what! As long as you know who's in charge, of course I'll look out for you! Alright! Go have some fun!"

"Mmm! Come on, brother, drink!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Amidst the lively atmosphere, strange noises emanated from outside the base.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"roar--"

The man playing the music frowned slightly, raised his hand to turn it off, and the sound gradually became clearer.

"Why did they stop? Wait! Listen, it's zombies! Zombies are coming! Run!"

"Zombies are coming! Run! A zombie horde is coming!"

"Aaaaaaah! They're actually doing this for real! Run!"

Lu Luo's heart tightened, and he led his men to the wall. Looking down from above, they saw countless zombies, all baring their teeth and claws, gripping the gate and the wall.

Upon seeing people, they became even more excited and bloodthirsty, and began to climb up in stacks, one on top of the other.

"What do we do, boss? There are so many zombies! What do we do? Let's run!"

Lu Luo's legs went weak. He had never seen so many zombies before. It turned out they weren't lying; it really was a zombie horde.

"Boss! Let's go!"

Lu Luo moved away with difficulty. A group of people rushed into the nearest house, locked the door, and used heavy objects to block it. Although they were exhausted from all the actions, their hearts were already sinking.

"Quickly, push the sofa over here too!"

A group of people lay on the ground, panting, staring at the ceiling. It really was a zombie horde! How could there be so many! We're doomed!

Despair filled everyone's eyes. They deeply regretted not going with them back then, and now they might not even survive.

"Bang!"

The gate was completely smashed down by the zombies. Freed from their restraints, the zombies swarmed around the base, searching for any survivors inside.

"ah!"

"Help!"

The screams were deafening, and everyone dared not breathe. All they could do now was pray, pray that the zombies would not find them, and pray that they could escape this calamity.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"We're doomed, boss! Zombies are ramming the door downstairs!"

The man spoke tremblingly, the excitement of being about to become the deputy base commander gone.

Five minutes, half an hour, an hour...

"Bang!"

The door was finally broken open, and the zombies swarmed upstairs.

Lu Luo's hands trembled. No! Absolutely not! He can't die, he's already become the base commander! Why did this happen!

"Ho—"

The roars of the zombies grew closer, and the people in Lu Luo's room could clearly hear their own heartbeats.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The door was pounded on, and everyone held their breath. How could they be discovered even when they were hiding inside?

Fortunately, they had piled all the heavy objects at the entrance, which temporarily blocked one wave of zombie attacks.

"Bang!"

Unexpectedly, a crack appeared in the door, and everyone panicked and ran into the bedroom.

Lu Luo ran the fastest; he entered the room and immediately closed the door.

Despite the people outside banging on the door, he held on with trembling arms.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! I was so scared! I'll remember you all!"

"Open the door! Boss! Open the door! Lu Luo, I'll let you open the door!"

At the last moment before the zombies broke in, the man forced open the bedroom door, his eyes bloodshot.

"Lu Luo! Die with me!"

"ah--"

Screams echoed from all directions, turning the once bustling base into a living hell.

One by one, the figures fell, turning back into inhuman zombies. The zombie horde grew larger and larger. As dawn broke the next day, the zombies left the Dawn Base and set off for their next destination.

Dawn Base was reduced to ruins once again. The man who arrived slowly sighed as he looked at the ruined base, while the baby in his arms curiously looked around.
