Chapter 74 Flying Tigers

Unlike the chaotic layout of Zone F, Zone C features neat rows of small, single-story houses. The terrain here is relatively higher, so even though the snow has already covered the doors, it doesn't affect anything.

After all, in some cold places before the apocalypse, people could still live normally even if they bought a house after the snow fell.

Lin Anran followed them all the way and found that there were many houses here, but many of them were not fully occupied and were relatively deserted.

The few scattered shops along the street still had their doors tightly closed.

Looking around, there wasn't a soul in sight, only a faint light shining from the small house.

Along the way, Cao Ming kept talking, recounting what happened after they escaped from the old factory. It was a very turbulent journey, but fortunately, Luo Chun, Cao Yang, and the three young men had all awakened their superpowers, which allowed them to barely escape those dangers.

After listening to Cao Ming's words, Lin Anran roughly understood their current situation.

As the eldest among them, Luo Chun made a decision immediately after seeing the note left by Lin Anran and the other person, and led a group of elders and children away from that dangerous old factory.

After a long and arduous journey, Luo Chun developed a high fever. Fortunately, Lin Anran left him some medicine among the supplies, and he managed to recover after three days and three nights. Then, he awakened his supernatural abilities.

Subsequently, Cao Ming and the other three also developed high fevers, but thanks to Luo Chun's experience, they all remained safe.

They lived in high-rise buildings for a month before they learned that the country had established a safe base, so they immediately decided to go to the nearest southern survivor base.

Later, they encountered robbers on the road. The robbers were armed, and Luo Chun handed over 90% of their supplies for the safety of the people behind him.

When they arrived at the base, they found that it wasn't as easy as they had imagined. To make everyone's lives safer, Luo Chun and a few others with special abilities risked their lives to hunt zombies and earn points, which earned them the right to live in the small apartments in Zone C.

They had considered joining the base's superhuman squad, but they were too weak and the base didn't even consider them. So they created their own civilian squad called the Flying Tigers.

Luo Chun is the captain, and Cao Ming is the vice captain.

They are determined to protect their own families while also helping ordinary people who are completely defenseless.

At first, the base was unwilling to acknowledge the team, but they were not defeated by fate. From the initial thirty people, they have now grown into a huge team of one hundred.

The team included men, women, young and old, most of whom joined the Flying Tigers because they could no longer bear being oppressed by others and wanted to fight back with their own strength.

They demonstrated to the outside world their unwavering spirit and refusal to compromise with fate. Those with superpowers trained day and night, while those without picked up sticks, knives, and guns and worked hard to catch up.

Looking at the group of people with their bright smiles, Lin Anran felt happy for them too.

very nice!

They've been persistent and have always done a great job!

"arrive!"

Luo Chun pointed to three or four houses on the street, "These are all rented by Brother Chun. There are many of us, and one house is not enough for everyone. This is our main courtyard. Come in and have a seat."

Lin Anran looked at the few small bungalows in front of her and nodded.

The infrastructure is decent, and the layout is quite large, just right for so many people to live there.

Cao Ming opened the door, and Lin Anran and the others were instantly stunned. There were more than just a lot of people; there were far too many!

Groups of children were playing and frolicking in the snow in the yard, while a group of elderly women, around the stone table, were doing their work.

The children happily gathered around when they saw the group return.

"Wow! Dad! You're back! Grandma Wang and Hua'er are back too!"

"Uncle Luo is back! Uncle Cao is back too! And Uncle Shun is back as well..."

A group of little kids clung to the legs of several men, looking as happy as if they hadn't seen each other in a long time, each one incredibly enthusiastic.

Several elderly women put down the clothes they were carrying and slowly walked over. When they saw the pale-faced little flower in his arms, they couldn't help but ask with concern, "Xiaochun, how is the flower? Is she alright?"

"Oh dear! Grandma Wang, you really insisted on going out to do that little bit of work. You almost got into an accident. Come inside quickly, let us check if you're hurt."

Their eyes were so blurry that when they saw Lin Anran and the others following behind, they assumed they were new team members and warmly invited them into the house.

"Little girl, it's alright now. Since you've come to our Flying Tigers, no one will bully you anymore. Have you eaten? Grandma will make you something."

A clear, melodious female voice came from the kitchen, "Aunt Li, I've told you all not to go into the kitchen, it's too oily and smoky, you should leave it to us!"

After drinking a cup of hot water, Lin Anran's icy hands slowly warmed up.

Luo Chun introduced them to Aunt Li and the others, saying, "Aunt Li, they are not joining us. They are our benefactors who saved us at the old factory."

She is the girl named Lin Anran, he is the boy named Lin Yu, they are the parents of these two children, and this boy... he is Anran's boyfriend.

Upon hearing Luo Chun's introduction, the elderly women's eyes immediately filled with tears, and their arms trembled with excitement. "So it was those two children! Grandma, thank you so much! We old ladies, who are practically half-buried, never thought we'd be alive this long."

"Children, Grandma doesn't know how to thank you enough, Grandma..."

Several elderly women were sobbing uncontrollably. Lin Anran hurriedly wiped away their tears, saying, "Grandma, it's what we should do. You don't need to thank us. We're just happy that you've survived safely and healthily."

"Good, good, good children! Sit down, sit down, Grandma will take a good look at you!"

Several middle-aged women came out of the kitchen carrying freshly cooked hot meals. When they saw Lin Anran and Lin Yu sitting on the sofa, they froze in place.

Her eyes were slightly red.

"benefactor?"

The group rubbed their eyes as if they were seeing things, looking at Luo Chun in disbelief. "Are they... are they our benefactors?"

Luo Chun nodded, "Mm!"

Lin Anran and her group were invited to sit at the main table and quickly became acquainted.

"So, my benefactors, you also came here some time ago? Hahaha, we only arrived half a month earlier than you."

Aunt Li sat next to Lin Anran, constantly putting food on her plate. There were many of them, so they ate very frugally. But when they saw their savior, the middle-aged women insisted on adding more dishes, and ended up making a whole table of food.

The children were very happy to see today's extra meal and kept shoveling it into their mouths.

Lin Yu sat next to Luo Chun and received the same special treatment. His mouth was stuffed up like a pufferfish. "Brother Chun! I really can't eat anymore. You guys should eat too!"

After the meal, Lin Anran and the others felt like their stomachs were about to burst. Luo Chun then took them to visit two houses next door.

Lin Anran witnessed the strength of this group. There were many people in each courtyard, but they were all warm, hospitable, and unpretentious.

Luo Chun explained that a group of young people had gone out to find jobs and earn points, and everyone was doing their best to support the family.
