Chapter 76 Secret Laboratory

Lin Anran signaled the people behind her to stop. She secretly peeked out from around the corner. Two hundred meters at the end of the corner, there was an iron gate with two security guards holding guns at the entrance.

She gestured lightly with her hands: two hundred meters, two people, with guns...

Everyone: Two hundred people? And they're armed!!!

How are we supposed to get in? We're doomed!

Lin Anran waved one hand: Let's charge together!

Everyone: !!!

At least let us prepare, there are two hundred people!

Lin Anran had already rushed out, and her vines instantly wrapped around the necks of the two people from the ground, silencing them with the vines as they tried to call out.

Seeing Lin Anran rush out, everyone panicked and hurriedly followed, their movements frozen in place as they prepared to attack.

Two hundred people?

Only two people! I thought they were so powerful! They solved it easily; they were too lazy to even lift a finger.

Lin Yu lowered his voice, "Sis! Weren't there two hundred people? Why are there only two?"

Lin Anran was completely confused: "When did I say there were two hundred people? I made a 'two' gesture, how did it become two hundred?"

Lin Yu: "The 200 you gestured at the beginning, didn't it mean two hundred?"

"That's two hundred meters!"

Although they had dealt with the two security guards at the entrance, they remained cautious. Lin Anran took the lead, moving step by step, while Luo Chun stayed behind to prevent any sneak attacks.

Lin Anran touched the thick iron door. This time, the door was much thicker than the ones she had encountered before. There was a secret lock on the door handle, which could also be unlocked with a fingerprint.

This time she didn't make any rash moves, and Lin Yu waited patiently beside her for the lock to be opened.

Lin Anran guessed that there must be someone inside if the door was opened, and if the commotion was too loud, they would definitely be trapped here.

Just as everyone was in distress, a clear sound of a stone moving gently rang out.

Everyone panicked for a moment, but Lin Anran quickly came up with a solution.

Luo Chun and Cao Ming, who were similar in build to the security guards, changed their clothes and stood there imitating the two fallen security guards, while the rest of the people hid behind a safe not far away.

Without hesitation, everyone carried the two unconscious, naked security guards and hid them behind the safe.

Everyone held their breath, afraid to make a sound, until two men in protective suits appeared at the corner.

The two men didn't go in directly. Instead, they went to the safe where everyone was hiding, opened it with the key, took off their protective suits, and put on white coats.

One of the short, stout men spoke up: "Dr. Huang, has your experiment been completed?"

The man called Dr. Huang put a pen into his pocket, sighed, and shook his head. "Not yet. We haven't found the perfect experimental topic. The teacher hasn't let us move forward; he's just told us to observe their changes."

Hearing this, the short, stout man fell silent. Their experiment had made no new progress so far, and when would their teacher's grand plan finally succeed!

The people behind the safe were sweating profusely. These two men showed no sign of leaving. It must have been tough for these tall guys squatting on the ground.

Hearing their discussion, Lin Anran felt a mix of excitement and fear. She had finally found it! This was it!

She knew that Dr. Huang all too well. Every time she was forced to have medication injected into her body, that man would stand by and take notes, asking questions from time to time. She would never forget that voice.

At that moment, her body felt as if it were frozen, and she trembled uncontrollably.

Jiang Qinian hugged Lin Anran tightly, comforting the trembling woman with his silent strength.

As she gradually calmed down, Lin Anran realized that she was almost suffocating from the embrace of the man beside her. She gently pushed away his tense hands, tears welling in her eyes.

Jiang Qinian thought the little woman was moved to tears by him, so he wiped her moist eyes with his cold hands and gently touched her soft forehead with his lips.

Don't cry, Ranran, I'm always here for you!

Forget about being shy, the noise outside started again.

Dr. Huang picked up the notebook from the cabinet and looked at the short, stout doctor with curiosity: "Hey! Lao Wu, how's that big guy over there doing? I heard he almost smashed up the lab a while ago!"

"Hey! Don't say that! Our department lost five people directly. We had to force it to take ten doses of sedatives before it finally gave up."

Dr. Huang: "I'm not trying to be mean, but you insisted on getting your hands on that big thing. Now you're having trouble explaining it to your superiors!"

The short, stout doctor looked helpless: "What can we do? We've reached a critical juncture, and we won't give up."

The two walked toward the iron gate as they talked, stood at the doorway, and waited for it to open. Silence fell over the scene, and beads of sweat on Cao Ming's forehead trickled down his nose and into his mask.

The short, stout man said impatiently, "What's going on? Are you new here? Open the door!"

Luo Chun and his colleague were immediately alarmed—they were doomed! However, seeing the few people sneaking up behind them, he suppressed his panic and adopted a humble attitude: "I'm sorry, Dr. Wu, Dr. Huang, I'll open the door for you!"

As he spoke, Luo Chun slowly walked to the door, his heart pounding. He raised his hand to scan his fingerprint, but Dr. Huang interrupted him.

"Hurry up, take off your shoes and open the door for us. What are you hesitating for?"

Luo Chun quickly apologized: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just wanted to wipe the lock, I'll take it off now."

He deftly took off his right shoe, and without a sound of questioning from behind, he slowly took off his socks, just as he was about to put them on, when he heard a muffled groan, and the two of them collapsed to the ground.

"Phew~ That scared me to death!" Cao Ming collapsed to the ground, his body limp. They were just a hair's breadth away from being exposed.

Luo Chun quickly put on his shoes. With Dr. Huang's reminder, they knew how to open the door. But what was with the fingerprint door opener?

However, they couldn't imagine this unlocking method, and they were quite cautious.

Lin's father carried the two security guards, one in each arm, over.

Lin Yu endured the pungent smell and took off their shoes and socks. "Ugh~ Did they step in poop? It stinks!"

Lin Anran suppressed a laugh, her face serious: "Just take off their right foot!"

Lin Yu, who had just endured the stench and taken off his left sock, looked utterly dejected. "Sis, why didn't you say so sooner? Why did you have to trick your own brother like that?"

Lin Anran shrugged: "You didn't ask me!"

Lin Yu pulled off both of their socks in one go, his eyes watering from the stench. "And then? Sis, which toe?"

Lin Anran: "I don't know either! Try his big toe first!"

"bite!"

The iron gate slowly opened to both sides, revealing a glass corridor inside, devoid of any human presence.

Lin's father and Lin Yu changed into two doctors' white coats, and then dragged the four people lying on the ground to the back of the safe.

The two changed their masks and walked inside with serious expressions.

Luo Chun instructed the remaining men to stay at the door to open it for them at any time, and to guard the four men and the doorway in case of any emergency.
