The sturdy iron gate was pulled open by the person inside. His handsome face paired with his nonchalant expression didn't seem out of place at all.
"Sister! You're back!"
Lin Yu shouted with delight and excitedly hugged him.
His gaze drifted to the stylish woman in the leather jacket. "And who is this lady?"
Jiang Qinian: "She's my mom!"
Jiang Rong, who was originally feeling down, burst into laughter upon hearing the word "sister." "Hahahaha! Little brother, you're so good with words, I'm almost embarrassed!"
Lin Yu scratched his head awkwardly, "Hahaha, it's Auntie! Please come in."
Seeing that Lin Yu hadn't returned yet, Gu Chen came out of the house. "Sister Ranran! You're back!"
He strode forward, smiling gently, "Brother Jiang!"

Jiang Qinian wanted to explain, but he didn't know where to begin. He was afraid that if he told his mother the reason, she would hold him accountable.
After all, if you keep saying you're going to lose weight but don't succeed, and you still can't eat what you want, you'd definitely want to cry.
He sighed and silently ate his rice.
At night, Lin's parents lay in bed.
