Chapter 229 Determining the Base Location

Hearing the screams coming from outside, Canglan knew that success or failure hinged on this moment.

With his last bit of strength, he used his supernatural ability to freeze the door to the room before passing out.

"Jiaqi, I've done my best!"

The helicopter finally landed above the rescue center. "Is this the place?"

Li Churan looked at the large, broken characters for "Rescue Center" on the wall.

"This must be it! Find the survivors quickly!"

"Mr. Li! There seems to be a sound over there!" The soldiers who jumped out of the helicopter quickly joined the rescue efforts.

"Go quickly!" Li Churan stood on the helicopter with a gun in his hand, while Wang Siyuan was trembling and tugging at his clothes.

"Chu Ran, there are so many zombies here! They look so scary! Can we go to a safe place?" She had never been to such a terrifying place before.

"There's nowhere safe in the entire city of A right now! Just stay safely in the helicopter! You'll be fine!"

Li Churan gave Wang Siyuan a cold glance.

This aloof young lady, who seems to live a life of luxury, has a helicopter full of chefs and servants.

If it weren't for the fact that Wang Siyuan had given him five more helicopters, he would have liked to kick Wang Siyuan out immediately.

"But I'm scared! Chu Ran, can you hug me?" Wang Siyuan pleaded.

Unfortunately, Li Churan was not the type to show mercy to women.

"Boss! We've found over 30 survivors in these buildings!" his subordinate reported.

"Okay, I understand! Now you guys get to set up according to the original plan! Let's set up the location in that building!" Li Churan pointed to the building where Cang Nan and the others had been hiding.

Before coming, Li Churan had already made plans!

"Okay!" The soldiers quickly got to work, taking out air pumps as tall as a person from the helicopter and filing into the building to begin spraying.

As the gas was released, the temperature dropped rapidly, and the zombies inside the building lost their ability to move.

The survivors, including Cang Nan, were taken to separate small groups and settled in. Lin Mengru was among them.

"Where am I? Why is it so cold?" When Canglan woke up, she was lying on a brand new cot, covered with a thick blanket.

"You're awake!" Canglan was startled, only then realizing that there was a man standing in the room. He was dressed in a blue-gray suit, his posture as upright as a pine tree, his superior profile as sharp as if cut by a knife, his imposing presence like a bright star, exuding a unique aura that surpassed everyone else.

"Who are you?" Canglan asked uncertainly. Although he had a guess in his mind, he was not sure yet.

"Hello! My name is Li Churan. I've contacted you before. You must be Cang Nan, right?" Li Churan leaned against the table, looking down at the viewer.

"Yes! I am Cang Nan!" Cang Lan sat up straight, trying his best to make his aura no weaker than Li Chu Ran's.

"Tell me what you know!" Li Churan pulled up a stool and sat down in front of the bed.

“I want to know…” Canglan did not answer his question, but wanted to ask what she wanted to know first.

“I know you have a lot of questions, but we can talk about those later. Our top priority right now is to settle down here as soon as possible!” Li Churan cut him off.

"Alright then!" Canglan began to explain in detail what he knew.

"Do you know what other forces are entrenched in this area besides yours?" Li Churan asked after listening to the conversation.

"As far as I know, there shouldn't be!" Canglan shook his head.

"Do you know how many survivors are around here?" Li Churan continued to ask.

"I'm not entirely sure about that! But after the extreme cold, many people suddenly gained superpowers, and quite a few should have survived, but I haven't had any contact with them." Canglan hadn't left the rescue center much during this time, but he had seen people moving around in other buildings.

While making her own assessment, Li Churan continued to ask, "Do you know of any other places nearby where we can find supplies?"

“There are plenty of supplies in the rescue center, but we were trapped here by zombies before, so we couldn’t go to the warehouse.” Now that he had said it, Canglan no longer hid it.

"Okay! I got it! You should get some rest! I'll have the logistics department bring you food later!" Li Churan patted his shoulder and turned to walk out the door.

It seems this place is quite suitable for initial development. Li Churan has decided to develop his influence here first.

Ten minutes after Li Churan left, the logistics staff brought in a steaming bowl of beef noodles.

"Hello! I'd like to ask which department you're from!" Canglan seized the opportunity to quickly gather information.

"We don't know either, we just follow the orders from above!" Li Churan had already instructed them not to speak carelessly.

Over the next few days, Li Churan was extremely busy. He quickly established a new base here, and under his arrangements, the zombies were firmly kept out of the rescue center.

The rescue center already had a lot of supplies, and with Li Churan's arrangement for people to continuously collect supplies from the surrounding area, order was quickly restored at the rescue center.

Meanwhile, country H also kept sending helicopters to deliver supplies.

After laying a solid foundation, Li Churan began recruiting people with superpowers.

With his personal charisma and ample supplies, the number of superhumans in the base grew rapidly.

The price of rapid expansion, of course, was that Li Churan was extremely busy.

After reporting the latest situation to Wang Si, Li Churan finally returned to his room. By then, he had not slept for a day and two nights.

Exhausted, he pushed open the door to the room.

Wang Siyuan was having breakfast when she saw Li Churan push the door open and walk in, her face full of surprise.

"Chu Ran! You're finally back! You've been so busy these past few days, I've been so bored here all by myself!"

"Chu Ran! Are you done with your work?"

"Hmm!" Li Churan walked unsteadily to his room door. He was too tired to speak, but Wang Siyuan was oblivious and continued to chatter behind him.

"Chu Ran! Can you keep me company? I'm so bored here all by myself!"

"I'm a little tired!" Li Churan replied, and then the door slammed shut.

"Chu Ran! Have you had breakfast? Why don't you eat breakfast before you go to sleep?" Wang Siyuan quickly added.

"No need!" Li Churan lay down on the bed and fell asleep without even taking off her shoes.
