Li Churan looked at the table full of delicious-looking home-style dishes.
Braised lion's head meatballs, home-style tofu, steamed fish with fermented black beans, salt-baked chicken, beer-braised duck, Dongpo pork, stir-fried pig's ears with garlic sprouts—a dazzling array of dishes with different flavors.
"Did your girlfriend make all of these?" Li Churan pointed to the dishes on the table.
"Yes, yes! She made all of these." Zhao Tianyu said shyly but proudly, completely oblivious to Li Churan's unusual behavior.
"That's quite virtuous of her." Li Churan gave Lin Mengru a meaningful look.
He remembered that Lin Mengru couldn't cook at all; she didn't even know how to make fried rice. How could she suddenly make such a big meal?
They're clearly treating Zhao Tianyu like a sucker.
When Lin Mengru was with Li Churan, he was a domineering CEO, and she was happy to pretend to be an ethereal goddess. So, of course, Li Churan knew that she couldn't cook.

But those few glances were enough for Wang Siyuan, who had been secretly observing him, to conclude that he still had feelings for Lin Mengru.
Lin Mengru breathed a sigh of relief. She looked up and secretly sized up Li Churan, but unexpectedly, her eyes met Wang Siyuan's.
“Miss Lin Mengru, I feel like I’ve heard your name somewhere before? It sounds very familiar!” Wang Siyuan’s eyes were filled with undisguised contempt.
"Really?" Lin Mengru was startled, but smiled awkwardly to cover it up.

"Mengru!" Zhao Tianyu hugged her from behind. "You've had a hard day!"
"It's not hard work!" Lin Mengru said shyly, her fingers still drawing circles on Zhao Tianyu's chest.
Looking at the stunningly beautiful Lin Mengru, Zhao Tianyu's heart stirred, and he picked her up and carried her into the room.
Meanwhile, Wang Siyuan and Li Churan returned to their residence.
Li Churan strode towards her room without hesitation, completely ignoring Wang Siyuan who was following behind her.
"Chu Ran, are you sleeping in that room again tonight?" Wang Siyuan asked with a wronged expression.
"Hmm!" Perhaps Lin Mengru had stirred up his negative emotions, because he was too lazy to hide it and pushed the door open directly.
"Chu Ran, didn't we already agree before we came to City A to live under the same roof? But why are you still making excuses?" Wang Siyuan was already feeling wronged, and after seeing Lin Mengru today, almost all of her grievances burst out.
