"Where did you go? Why are you so late?" Li Churan asked impatiently.
In the afternoon, he took Lin Mengru to see a doctor. After confirming that there was nothing seriously wrong, he took Mengru shopping.
Although Mengru didn't say anything, he always felt that Mengru was depressed and her forbearing appearance was heartbreaking.
The more he thought about it, the more he felt he needed to divorce Ye Ning as soon as possible. He couldn't delay any longer, or today's incident might happen again.
He didn't want Mengru to suffer any more grievances, so after seeing Mengru off, he immediately had his lawyer draft a divorce agreement.
Giving Ye Ning 200 million would be enough for her to live a life of comfort and ease, and that way he wouldn't be breaking his promise to Ye Jingtian to take care of her for the rest of her life.
When he returned, Ye Ning wasn't home. He waited for two whole hours before she finally came back.
Ye Ning glared at him. Li Churan had actually come back. He must be up to no good. He probably wanted to divorce her so he could openly elope with Lin Mengru!
Ye Ning casually took off her high heels and comfortably sprawled on the sofa.
"Where I go is none of your business!" She couldn't be bothered to give a nice look to someone who was determined to abandon her.
"You!" Every time he came back, Ye Ning would fuss over him and try to please him in every way. She never expected him to be like this now. Could this be a trick of hers to play hard to get?
That's for sure! But no matter what tricks she plays, he's going to divorce her.
Li Churan calmed herself down and spoke with a calm but firm tone.
"Ye Ning, let's get a divorce!"
The scene of her throwing a tantrum, crying and begging while clinging to his leg, that I had imagined, did not occur.
Ye Ning acted as if she had only heard about a trivial matter and continued massaging her aching feet.
It was as relaxed as if Li Churan were asking her if she wanted to go out for dinner that night.
Li Churan thought she hadn't heard clearly, so she repeated it word by word.
"Ye Ning, let's get a divorce!"
This time, Ye Ning sat up, looked directly into Li Chuyue's eyes, and nodded.
"Okay!" This "okay" was a resolute and decisive reply.

"Ye Ning, are you kidding me? I know, this is definitely just an excuse for not wanting a divorce." He knew Ye Ning didn't want to divorce him.
Ye Ning scoffed dismissively.
Li Churan, didn't he call himself the God of Pure Love? Didn't he say he was willing to give everything for Lin Mengru? He's worth hundreds of billions, yet he's already feeling the pinch over a mere billion.
Li Churan slammed the divorce agreement on the table, her tone turning cold and sharp.
"Ye Ning, I'm not discussing this with you. I'm determined to get a divorce. This is the divorce agreement drafted by my lawyer. The amount agreed upon here is 200 million. Even a day as husband and wife is worth a hundred days of kindness, so I'll increase it to 300 million. This is the most cash flow I can currently provide. If you're still not satisfied, then we'll have to see each other in court. Ye Ning, I don't think we need to come to this point!"
Li Churan's words were a combination of soft and hard tactics, but unfortunately Ye Ning was no fool, nor was she the innocent girl she was in her previous life. Ten years of apocalyptic baptism had long since made her spirit incredibly resilient.

If news of us going to court gets out and affects Mengran’s stock price, I’m afraid you, President Li, will have a hard time explaining it to the board of directors!”
"However, if you want to take this to court, then I'm ready to fight you to the end!" Ye Ning crossed her arms in front of her chest and stared directly at Li Churan without fear.
Li Churan then realized that Ye Ning wasn't just acting on impulse, but was genuinely serious about discussing the terms of their divorce.
"Ye Ning, you've always been the most understanding! Ten billion is indeed too much! I really can't come up with that right now!" Li Churan's tone softened.
"What is being understanding? I, Ye Ning, have never been one. Weren't you willing to give everything for Lin Mengru? Wasn't I a shrew who stood in the way of your true love? When I was being understanding, what did you give me in return?"
"You think you can just let bygones be bygones with a few sweet words after the emotional abuse, the verbal insults, the betrayal, the blows? I, Ye Ning, am not that lowly. If you want a divorce, just give me money and leave! Don't give me any of this nonsense."
"Being understanding and considerate? Sorry, I can't do that."
If she gets more media outlets reporting on Li Churan's affair and the news of him going to court against his wife for his mistress, the stock price will drop, and Mengran will lose more than just a billion.
The capital market is the most ruthless place. One wrong move and you could be kicked while you're down and driven to the bottom. There are quite a few people eyeing Li Churan now, and he should understand this better than anyone.
