Chapter 168 Out of Control

"I accidentally bumped into the car door and got scratched!" Sun Tiantian quickly explained.

"Who can prove it? If you want to completely eliminate the danger, then treat everyone equally!"

Su Zheng strode over and looked at the wound on Sun Tiantian's hand. "This wound doesn't look like a rat bite."

"Why? Why should my men be slaughtered when they're injured, but your mistresses aren't? Is this how your K3 base bullies people?"

Li Jun's lips curled into a sarcastic smile.

Before he could finish speaking, Lu Sheng looked up indifferently, a hint of coldness flashing in her beautiful phoenix eyes.

The next second, Lu Sheng moved like an arrow, rushing towards Li Jun.

Before anyone could even see Lu Sheng's movements, she had already grabbed Li Jun by the collarbone and lifted his nearly 200-pound body into the air.

A steel arrow grazed Li Jun's ear cartilage and pierced his ear.

"If you dare say another word, I'll send you down to the underworld to reunite with him right now."

Lu Sheng's voice was calm, but every word he uttered was filled with chilling killing intent.

All of this happened so suddenly that the people at Dawn Base didn't even have time to react.

Li Jun had been out in the workforce since he was a child, and after more than 20 years of struggling, he had never felt so weak all over.

He struggled to break free, but the slender, fair-skinned girl in front of him exuded a surging killing intent, making him feel as if all his strength had been drained, leaving him unable to move an inch.

Lu Sheng released his grip in disgust, and Li Jun collapsed to the ground like a lump of rotten flesh, his clothes soaked with sweat.

Li Jun lost face and was so angry that the veins on his forehead bulged, but he couldn't bear to abandon the food and leave, so he could only stare hatefully at Lu Sheng's back.

He'll get his revenge sooner or later!

After a brief interlude, the teams regrouped and set off again.

After clearing away the scattered corpses on the main road, the convoy finally arrived at the grain reserve base an hour later.

"We're here! We've finally arrived!"

Some people couldn't help but open their windows and shout.

All the bases have been tightening their belts lately, and people are on the verge of starvation. Now that they've finally found food, some of the more emotional ones have even cried tears of joy.

The gate to the grain base was locked, so Ma Dongmei drove her car straight through the gate and into the base.

The entire base was quiet, without a single person in sight, except for five large grain silos standing in the setting sun.

"How will the grain be distributed later?" Lin Weicheng suddenly asked in a low voice before entering the granary.

"Distribution according to work, more work more pay, and bases with casualties should have their population counted higher." Su Zheng proposed a relatively fair distribution method.

With no objections from any of the bases, the group officially entered the granary.

The country attaches great importance to grain reserves, and the current grain reserves all use advanced ventilation and preservation technologies.

All the grain was divided into separate areas for filling, and there were ladders that allowed people to climb directly to the top of the grain pile.

The first granary was filled with dried corn kernels. Thanks to advanced preservation technology, even though it had been several months since the apocalypse, the unique aroma of corn still wafted out when the door was opened.

"It smells so good!"

"I haven't had corn in months!"

"So much corn, there must be at least several hundred tons, right?"

Acid rain caused a complete crop failure, leaving almost all the bases starving. The sight of the overflowing granaries made the wolves' eyes light up, and some even grabbed handfuls and stuffed them into their mouths.

Although it was still raw corn kernels, the unique dry aroma of the whole grains was better than the genetically modified soybean cake from the farm.

"What are you all standing there for! Everyone, hurry up and move it!"

None of the bases openly had spatial ability users, so they could only rely on manpower to move the food onto the vehicles.

Just as they were moving things in a great hurry, Ma Dongmei suddenly kicked Lü Song in the butt.

"What are you doing? Instead of hurrying to grab the grain, you're lounging on the corn pile, slacking off?"

Lu Song stood in the corn pile, his upper body bent forward, his face flushed, and he made a slightly muffled nasal sound, "I feel like something is pulling my hand."

"Wow, you can actually be held back by corn kernels that have come to life?" Ma Dongmei laughed heartily, stepped over the mountain of corn kernels, and strode towards Lü Song.

Just as she was about to reach out to pull Lü Song, a dark shadow suddenly flashed through the corn kernels.

A withered arm in a uniform suddenly reached out, grabbed Ma Dongmei by the neck, and brute forcefully dragged her down into the granary.

Ma Dongmei couldn't dodge in time and fell headfirst into the corn pile.

In an instant, my entire upper body was submerged in golden corn kernels.

The internal structure of the grain pile is similar to quicksand; once you get stuck, you will be quickly buried.

Soon, only a pair of size 38 military boots were visible on Ma Dongmei.

"There are zombies in the food pile!"

Lu Sheng rushed over immediately, used spider silk to loop around Ma Dongmei's ankle, and pulled her out of the corn pile with all his might.

At the same time, several withered, bluish-purple arms emerged from various locations inside the granary, pulling the team members who were busily moving grain into the bottom of the granary.

The huge granary was filled with wailing cries, but they were quickly buried by corn kernels and turned into a muffled, weak cry for help.

The remaining people immediately went on high alert.

"Get him out of here quickly!" Su Zheng shouted sternly.

But while I was in the open, the enemy was in the shadows, and during the rescue operation, more people were quickly dragged into the corn pile.

In just a few minutes, nearly half of the people were swallowed up by the corn pile.

With plenty of corn kernels acting as a buffer and barrier, various superpowers were completely helpless against the zombies below.

Lu Song threw several large fireballs, but apart from exploding into a huge pile of popcorn, they did nothing to harm the zombies.
