"Come play with Daji..."
The group's desperate escape immediately attracted the mechanical monster's attention.
The ape-like monster on the ceiling quickly slid down the wall to the ground, locked onto the group's location, and ran away.
The mechanical limbs, as thick as wrists, landed on the floor, emitting a piercing screeching sound that made one's ears ring.
"You really are a sixth man..."
Everyone was stunned by the mechanical monster's newly unlocked voice pack, and they all cast complicated glances at Zhang Xin.
Zhang Xin lay on Zhang Xiaojuan's head, pulling at her sparse fur, nearly flying off as his mount sped along. "Work is so boring, we still need to find some fun!"
"Did you design these things too?" Lu Sheng asked, turning back as he ran, firing a powerful electromagnetic cannon at the mechanical monster that was relentlessly pursuing him.
A powerful energy ball the size of a soccer ball exploded instantly on the mechanical monster's face.
"Come and keep... Daji company..."
A massive electric current left a deep scorch mark on the metal surface, and the mechanical monster was blasted to the ground. The module responsible for controlling the voice system seemed to have been impacted, and the middle-aged man's voice turned into intermittent crackling sounds.
Just as everyone breathed a sigh of relief, the mechanical monster, which was covered in dust and grime from the explosion, suddenly rolled up from the ground.
The next second, a loud and urgent alarm sounded from the mechanical monster's gaping maw.
"Oh no... I forgot to tell you, this thing will call for help when it's low on health..." Zhang Xin was so scared that he hunched his neck and scurried into Zhang Xiaojuan's collar, leaving only his two small ears showing.
As the alarm sounded, all the lights in the entire underground parking garage turned on instantly.
The dazzling incandescent light stung everyone's eyes.
It took more than ten seconds for my eyes to adjust to the light.
The underground parking lot was as bright as day, and every hidden corner was exposed under the lights.
The sharp, piercing alarm shattered the silence of the underground garage, immediately attracting the attention of the other mechanical monsters.
One after another, dangerous figures flashing with metallic light swarmed toward the source of the alarm.
Lu Sheng and the others hadn't even seen the massive mechanical army yet, but the floor beneath their feet was already trembling under the heavy mechanical footsteps.
Countless bizarre and absurd voice packs combine to create a noisy pollution that makes listeners' hearts clench.
"There's a safe passage a few hundred meters to the right. We can leave from there!" Little Mouse Zhang Xin's voice cracked with anxiety, and his long, thin tail stood up like an antenna.
With directions from a local, everyone ran towards the right exit of the parking lot without hesitation.
The group ran frantically, their screams piercing the air, while a persistent red laser beam swept indiscriminately from behind.
The walls and beams that were hit by the laser were immediately cut open with a deep gash.
Lin Xiaobao was unable to dodge in time while running and was hit on the arm, which was immediately burned, revealing a deep wound that exposed the bone.
"These things don't know fatigue at all, we definitely can't outrun them," Ma Dongmei complained, panting as she supported Lin Xiaobao.
"We can only send one team to try and distract these things, while the rest of us can take the opportunity to leave." Su Zheng glanced back.
Silence fell over the group, with only the sound of everyone's heavy breathing remaining.
"Wow!"
A few seconds later, several people spoke up in unison.
This was a mission whose outcome was known beforehand, destined to be a one-way trip.
But in critical moments, some people are still willing to step forward and leave the chance of survival to their teammates.
"Stop talking nonsense, it's not time for life and death yet."
At the critical moment, Lu Sheng sternly stopped the internal strife within the K3 team.
The immediate priority is to minimize the losses.
There was a small elevator shaft leading to the emergency exit. As everyone carefully prepared to pass through, a mechanical monster flashing red light suddenly jumped out of the elevator.
The mechanical claw suddenly grabbed an unlucky guy on the outside of the group and instantly bit off his head.
The bloody, mangled wounds were horrifying to behold.
Just as it opened its massive mechanical maw, preparing to pounce on the crowd again, its sharp metal maw suddenly stopped.
The golden glass pupils flickered twice, then the head tilted in confusion.
Everyone was speechless.
"What's going on? Why did you suddenly go for a cute metallic style?" Zhang Xiaojuan was holding the earth spikes she had just conjured, unsure whether to poke them or throw them away.
Just as everyone was wondering, Dongyang, who was in the corner, suddenly spoke in a trembling voice, "I...I activated the magnetic field shield..."
Lu Sheng and others: o. O?
Magnetic shielding?
"I almost forgot, Dongyang has a shielding ability." Su Zheng, covered in sweat, rubbed his temples, panting.
"As long as we are within the magnetic field range of the winter sun, we are essentially invisible and will not be detected."
As he spoke, he looked at Dongyang hesitantly, "But her superpower is unstable and could fail at any time. However, we can try to break through the encirclement for now."
"Big sister, why didn't you tell me sooner that you had such a powerful ability? Your little brother almost ran his lungs out!" Zhang Xiaojuan glanced at Dongyang reproachfully.
"I was too hasty and forgot." Dongyang avoided Lu Sheng and the others' gazes and turned to discuss with the K3 team members, "Let's leave before our abilities wear off."
Shielding abilities consume a lot of energy, and most ability users can only maintain it for three to five minutes.
"Don't just stand there, come closer to me. My ability range isn't that big."
After taking a few steps, Dongyang greeted Lu Sheng and the others with a disgruntled expression.
The two teams reluctantly joined together and quickly walked out along the safety passage.
