Chapter 232 Do you want to die?

Lu Sheng glanced at Chen Ziqiu with a cold gaze, ignoring him.

Su Zicheng, that scumbag, left her with PTSD from being a smooth talker; now, she doesn't have a good impression of any man she talks to too much.

Zhang Xiaojuan was the only one she could tolerate who kept nagging; she couldn't stand anyone else.

"The little zombie we encountered was incredibly powerful, but why are the ones that are symbiotic with Tian Tian and the others as weak as babies, with no attack power at all?"

On the way to the underground control room, Zhang Xiaojuan suddenly became suspicious.

They had witnessed the little monster's power firsthand. It was born at the fifth rank and could become stronger than most superhumans just by eating some growth-enhancing foods.

If this kind of thing were to be produced in large quantities, the entire K3 would be shaken.

But those babies in the swaddling clothes were not much different from ordinary children, except that their skin color and appearance were a little ugly.

Xu Yi raised the searchlight in his hand to illuminate Lu Sheng's path. "There is a possibility that choosing symbiosis is a double-edged sword. Although one can share life with the mother, one will also lose their special abilities."

They either fight alone and get killed by Xin Qiao and her group, or they sacrifice their powers and become symbiotic with these female officers.

Just as everyone was filled with doubt, the Xusheng player, who was leading the attack, suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Chen Ziqiu's expression turned serious.

"What did you have for breakfast? You'd better find a plastic bag to catch it... I... Ugh!"

The burly man walking in front suddenly froze, covering his mouth as if he was about to vomit.

The remaining people, not understanding what was going on, crowded to the front to look, and after just one glance, they almost felt like throwing up their dinner from the previous night.

A dozen meters away, at the end of the corridor, lay several corpses lying haphazardly. Judging from their uniforms, they were personnel from the K3 base.

Most of the corridor lights were broken, with only one dim wall lamp still working.

In the dim, eerie light, several chilling creaking sounds slowly drifted over.

Several children who looked to be one or two years old were excitedly crawling around in the corridor, occasionally taking a bite out of the corpse on the ground.

The bluish-purple lips, stained with bright red blood, looked particularly eerie in the dim light.

Lu Sheng and her companions moved very quietly, only glancing briefly in the blind spot before quickly retreating. The little zombies, enjoying their buffet, were completely unaware of the approaching danger, oblivious to the fact that danger was lurking nearby.

"Ziqiu...I feel like throwing up..."

A handsome young man in Xusheng's team looked distressed and said in a low voice, trying to suppress his nausea.

The apocalypse has been going on for quite some time now, and these people have survived by the skin of their teeth, so they are used to bloodshed.

But a major reason why this scene is disgusting is that the perpetrators are children.

The person who was usually a symbol of weakness has suddenly become a man-eating monster. This visual shock makes everyone present instinctively uncomfortable.

"If you need to throw up, go home and do it. Don't act like a pregnant woman, you grown man."

Chen Ziqiu frowned and swiftly raised his gun.

These little monsters are located on the only way to the control room, so they have to face them head-on if they want to get through.

There are no shortcuts.

At this point, they no longer cared about alerting the potential monsters inside; having come this far, it was destined to be a fight to the death.

Chen Ziqiu pointed his gun at the little zombie who was happily eating at the feast and decisively pulled the trigger.

boom!

The powerful recoil of the shotgun made his wrist sway.

Several shots were fired in succession, and all hit their mark.

But soon Chen Ziqiu's expression turned serious.

The dense bullets from the shotgun had little effect on these small monsters; only a single shot to blow their heads off could completely eliminate them.

He shooed away three of them, and the remaining four, enraged, crawled over, baring their teeth and claws!

Soon, a rustling sound came from the depths of the corridor, like the sound of slippers dragging and rubbing against the floor.

"Support has arrived."

Xu Yi took off his glasses and tucked them into his collar, then casually rolled up his sleeves.

The probability of a firearm hitting a target that is in a displaced state is only about 20%. Chen Ziqiu fired several more shots, but the little monsters dodged them all with an eerie speed.

"What do we do?! These things aren't afraid of guns, we can't beat them!"

Zhuzhu screamed and, in a panic, hid behind Chen Ziqiu, clutching the back of his shirt tightly with both hands.

The Xusheng Base has specialized weapon-enhancing ability users. Chen Ziqiu's shotgun is a special piece of equipment made specifically for zombies, and it has a high damage bonus against zombies.

If even this gun can't handle these little monsters, then the fourth and fifth-tier ability users at the Xusheng Base will be even more helpless.

Apart from Chen Ziqiu, everyone at the Xusheng base immediately considered leaving.

Several quick-moving individuals turned and ran, but after only a few steps, a painful howl rang out.

These little zombies were much faster and more powerful than the ordinary zombies they usually encountered. In just a few seconds, they pounced on and overpowered one of the unlucky guys from the Xusheng base.

A dozen sharp little mouths greedily devoured the severely injured members of the Xusheng base, ripping out their still-trembling internal organs.

The remaining people immediately turned back like startled birds.

"There are more little zombies chasing us from behind!" someone cried out in fear.

At the critical moment, Zhang Xiaojuan used her supernatural power to summon two thick earthen shields, which kept the small zombies on the two paths in front and behind her out.

The rustling crawling sounds grew closer, and both groups were blocked from the front and back, forced to be trapped in a small space.

"There are fewer zombies ahead, we should go from the front!" Zhuzhu said hurriedly after using the little bug to scout the way. "As long as someone distracts these little zombies, we can rush through in the chaos!"
