Lu Sheng glanced down at Ji Lingang, who was lying in a pool of blood.
Most of his ribs were broken, and his lungs were most likely punctured by the broken bones. When he breathed through his mouth, he made a heavy, wheezing sound, like a broken bellows that had been neglected for a long time.
The temporary effects of the power-enhancing agent are rapidly fading.
Skin that has been lavished with money and technology ages rapidly at a visible rate, with wrinkles and spots sprouting up like mushrooms after rain.
His once mature and handsome face was transformed into a gaunt face covered with age spots in just a few minutes.
It's clear that Ji Lingang's ability enhancement agent was a semi-finished product that hadn't been tested yet, and he suffered a strong backlash from it.
"Whatever you want." Lu Sheng indifferently looked away and beckoned Sun Tiantian and the others to go into the bunker to scavenge for supplies.
Hengshan Pharmaceutical is a large enterprise that occupies half of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. The relevant materials in this bunker are enough for Xiao Yu's parents to use for at least six months to a year.
As Lu Sheng and the others gradually disappeared from sight, a strange smile appeared on Ji Feng's handsome face.
“Dad, it’s just the two of us left here.” He squatted down and lifted Ji Lingang’s wrinkled chin with his finger.
A flicker of fear crossed Ji Lin's sunken, withered eyes, and his limp body trembled like a frightened bird. "Xiao Feng, you're my good son. You can't side with outsiders at a time like this!"
"Of course, I remember clearly how you've taken care of me all these years." Ji Feng emphasized the word "take care" very much.
Locked in a dark basement for two whole years, he relied on his hatred for Ji Lingang to get through each long night.
Now that his long-lost enemy was right in front of him, his eyelids trembled uncontrollably.
A high-wattage incandescent light bulb hung from the ceiling directly above the two of them, making Ji Lingang unable to open his eyes.
Ji Feng leaned down, blocking most of the light from Ji Lingang's head, casting a shadow over him.
"No matter what, your father raised you for eighteen years, providing you with food and clothing! Just consider it repaying your father's kindness and let me go!"
Ji Lingang no longer possessed the dignified demeanor of the Ji family head. He forced a fawning smile and struggled to crawl away from Ji Feng.
"Dad, why are you so afraid of me? It's been so long since we last met, don't you have anything you want to say to me?"
Ji Feng straightened up, looking down at Ji Lingang, then raised his right foot and firmly stepped on Ji Lingang's back.
"Even though you don't miss me, I think about the day we'll meet again every day."
Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream, like a pig being slaughtered, echoed from the laboratory.
When Lu Sheng and the others heard the noise, they turned around and saw Ji Feng forcefully breaking all of Ji Lingang's ribs, and then carrying a large number of bottles and jars of medicine from the laboratory shelves.
"What does he want to do?" Zhang Xiaojuan squinted as she observed him from a distance.
Lu Sheng turned around and continued walking, unconcerned. "He's probably trying to make Ji Lingang experience the pain of taking medicine, just as he has done to him."
Sure enough, the next second Ji Feng grabbed a handful of pills and stuffed them into Ji Lingang's mouth.
The scene was so horrifying that it sent chills down the spines of Zhang Xiaojuan, Sun Tiantian, and the others.
Especially since Ji Feng, despite his seemingly harmless and innocent college student appearance, became increasingly ruthless with each attack, the stark contrast made people feel uneasy.
"Xiao Feng! Ugh... Please forgive Daddy! Daddy knows he was wrong!"
"Spare my life! Please!"
Behind them came Ji Lingang's desperate screams and Ji Feng's slightly excited voice.
Zhang Xiaojuan subconsciously shrank her shoulders, looking at Lu Sheng with a hesitant expression, "Sister Lu, it's been shown in crime dramas that usually only psychopaths can understand psychopaths."
“You got Jifeng’s thought process right away. Now the way I look at you has changed a bit.”
Before he could finish speaking, Han Rui punched him in the back. "Even if Sister Lu is a pervert, she's the best of the best."
Lu Sheng: "..."
Such praise is unnecessary!
Lu Sheng and his group searched down three floors from the fifth basement level, collecting all the supplies that Ji Lingang, the old hamster, had hoarded for several years into their spatial storage.
Countless medical supplies were piled up like mountains in Lu Sheng's space, and he didn't miss any of the household appliances and tools that he couldn't buy after the apocalypse.
They also unexpectedly acquired two ice makers, which are perfect for placing in the villa.
What's even more outrageous is that they took away the nearly new range hood and gas stove from the kitchen.
The group swept through the bunker like locusts, taking everything they could. By the time they returned to the lab with their bounty, Ji Lingang was completely exhausted from the ordeal.
Ji Feng lit another thin, chocolate-flavored cigarette, leaned back in his seat, and puffed out smoke with a blank look in his eyes.
The corpse lying in a pool of blood was foaming at the mouth, its belly bulging slightly from being stretched.
Upon seeing Lu Sheng and the others return, Ji Feng immediately stubbed out his cigarette and blew a faint smoke ring at the chubby, adorable boy.
"Can we go home now?"
Ji Feng walked over with a smile, his harmless face beaming with the joy of a child returning home from school.
But everyone present had already witnessed his monstrous nature, and they couldn't believe a single word Ji Feng said.
The group returned to the base with their own thoughts on the matter. Because Fang Rongrong was pregnant, Lu Sheng temporarily settled her in the villa.
Dinner was pork rib and potato soup cooked by Xiao Yu, served with a plate of crisp and refreshing hot and sour shredded potatoes, and two stir-fried green vegetables.
Several people gathered around the table and began to eat, their food steaming hot.
Although Fang Rongrong hadn't eaten a proper meal in months, she still maintained the poise and elegance of a highly educated woman at the table.
