After exchanging a glance with Xu Yi, Xu Yi gestured with his eyes to indicate that there was a ventilation window on the side of the building.
The two men swiftly rushed to the shaded area, and Xu Yi quickly pried open the air vent. The two men then nimbly slipped into the building.
The small window connects to a storage room-like area, which is filled with cleaning tools such as mops and brooms, with only four monitoring cameras operating in the four corners of the ceiling.
After using their mental powers to block the cameras, Lu Sheng and Xu Yi tentatively pressed themselves against the door and peered out through the peephole.
Soon, two unlucky souls walked past the door.
Lu Sheng looked up and exchanged a glance with Xu Yi. The two of them immediately burst out of the door with perfect coordination, grabbed two passersby by the throat, and dragged them into the warehouse.
A minute later, the two of them had changed into CM company research lab uniforms and walked out confidently.
Just as the two were about to walk up the stairs, a gentle and intellectual voice suddenly came from behind them.
Where are you two going?
Lu Sheng and Xu Yi turned around warily and saw a young woman in a white coat standing elegantly behind them.
The woman had a scholarly air about her; her delicate features, paired with pink crystal-framed glasses, gave her a gentle and intellectual appearance. Her long, thick, black hair was loosely tied in a knot, making her look very capable.
"Wu Fan?"
After staring at the woman for two seconds, Lu Sheng was overwhelmed with unpleasant memories of the Oasis.
The woman before him was none other than Wu Fan, whom he had met briefly in the Oasis! Wu Hainan's sister!
She subconsciously glanced at Wu Fan's stomach.
Underneath Wu Fan's white lab coat was a particularly fitted knitted garment. From Lu Sheng's perspective, her abdomen appeared incredibly slender, showing no signs of childbirth.

But encountering an old acquaintance at this moment is not a good thing for Lu Sheng and Xu Yi, especially Wu Fan, with whom they had a previous conflict.
"What are you two doing here?" Wu Fan raised his eyebrows in obvious suspicion.
Before Lu Sheng could speak, the elevator next to him made a ding sound.
The next second, about a dozen people filed out of the elevator, blocking Lu Sheng and Wu Fan at the door.
Lu Sheng frowned slightly, and all the muscles in his body tensed up.

The atmosphere instantly became tense.
Wu Fan looked Lu Sheng and Xu Yi up and down with his eyes behind his glasses. After a few seconds, he managed a faint smile. "It's nothing. I'm going to ask two people to go to the lab to help me with some things."
After saying that, she casually waved to Lu Sheng and Xu Yi, "The experiment is progressing a bit fast lately, so I brought these two people here to help out."
Lu Sheng was somewhat surprised that Wu Fan would help them out of this predicament, but she didn't want to be exposed so early in front of everyone, so she simply gestured to Xu Yi to follow behind Wu Fan.
Although the sycophant captain was suspicious, he was reassured by Wu Fan's reaction. Before leaving, he didn't forget to chase after Wu Fan and fawn over him, saying, "Professor Wu, if there's anything you need, just tell me and I'll help you."
"Thanks." Wu Fan waved his hand without turning his head.
"You two are really bold, daring to break into CM Company all by yourself."
Once inside the lab, Wu Fan's smile vanished, and he crossed his arms, looking rather indifferent.
Lu Sheng glanced around the lab out of the corner of her eye and noticed that, unusually, there were no surveillance cameras in the room. Moreover, judging from Wu Fan's attitude towards that person earlier, she must hold a high position here.
Wu Fan shrugged. "Don't bother looking. I'm not used to being watched while doing experiments. There are no surveillance cameras in the lab."
"Are you working for Japan?"
Lu Sheng looked around at the bottles and jars and asked in a cold voice.
Wu Fan paused for a moment, a hint of barely perceptible annoyance appearing on his handsome face. "The vaccine research here has made initial progress. Given time, the zombie virus will definitely be completely eradicated."
Lu Sheng sneered, "What's next? Are we going to have to say 'science knows no borders' again?"
