The tireless electronic dogs took two days to completely eradicate the remaining plague rats in the entire city.
To prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses, Lu Sheng used drones and water trucks to spray disinfectant three times a day, morning, noon and evening, which finally minimized the damage to the city.
The hospital was in a frenzy receiving patients, and besides humans, an unfortunate Alaskan Malamute was also infected with the plague.
After Xu Yi cured the dog, he received a banner of appreciation from the dog's owner that same day.
"Thank you, Dr. Xu, for saving my life."
Zhang Xiaojuan almost burst out laughing when she saw it, and immediately hung it in the most conspicuous place on the wall of the clinic for Xu Yi.
Having experienced the apocalypse for several years, people are very proactive and quickly launched post-disaster reconstruction work.
“I guess they’re feeling guilty. Those guys haven’t come to exchange supplies these past few days.” Ma Dongmei handed the supply exchange ledger to Lu Sheng. “Mao Xiong and Xi Ba are still coming every day, but they’re killing fewer zombies. The M country guys have been hiding in their camp, and sometimes they’ll sneakily look in our direction.”
Even before the apocalypse, a large-scale plague would be a difficult problem, requiring a lot of manpower and resources to control its spread.
The septicemic plague, represented by the Black Death, had a low cure rate. The group of American people who wanted to take over the city watched from afar for a few days and found that the entire city of M was calm and peaceful. Not only was there no large-scale epidemic, but not even a single rat had escaped.
Even the group patrolling the safe zone are getting better and better food, and everyone's face has visibly gotten rounder.
The people of the United States are completely baffled as to what secret weapons the Chinese base possesses.
Lu Sheng took out the upgraded magnetic cannon from Monsoon and distributed it to everyone, saying, "We'll leave using the portal tonight and give them a little surprise."
She had previously turned a blind eye to the American people, giving them a way to survive, because she considered them as cheap labor.
But old habits die hard, and the despicable nature ingrained in the genes of these Onsa people (a derogatory term for white people in Y-speaking countries on the internet) is simply impossible to change.
They're not even grateful for a meal; they actually want to climb onto the table and sit in the head seat?
Then don't blame her for flipping the table.
...
As night fell, Lu Sheng led his men, fully armed, through a portal to the old site of the Yangfan Base.
After the marine life disappeared, the area was gradually being encroached upon by desert. Fortunately, there was still the sea, so the rate of desertification was significantly slower than around M City.
However, the original sea has almost turned into small puddles, and the ground is covered with the corpses of marine life that have died from dehydration. The pungent smell of rotting fish and shrimp in the air makes people's eyes water.
Zhang Xiaojuan pinched her nose, barely daring to breathe, "Sister Lu, ugh... what are we doing here... ugh..."
Despite the filter mask, the stench was incredibly persistent and could seep into the top of the head through any tiny gap.
"Catch zombies."
Lu Sheng bought two bundles of specially made metal wire rope from the system store and divided everyone into two teams. "They need to be alive. Come back and meet up in two hours."
That night, the seaside zombies, who were peacefully enjoying their retirement, were greeted by a group of uninvited guests...
Both teams were equipped with advanced weapons and armor, making it easy for them to capture zombies. Throughout the ordeal, Zhang Xiaojuan kept carefully stopping them from being too rough, saying, "Be careful, Sister Lu wants the good ones, don't make them too messy."
Once you catch a live zombie, tie them up with rope and string them together. If any of them are being difficult and howling, stuff a rag firmly into their mouths.
Two hours later, the two teams returned to the Yangfan base, each carrying a string of sobbing zombies.
Lu Sheng did a preliminary count and found a total of fifty zombies, all of which were at least level five.
"Why are we catching these things?" Han Rui asked, bored, and planted a round little mushroom on the head of each zombie.
Having inherited the ability to control zombies, all that's needed is a small mushroom to control their movements.
Out of a wicked sense of humor, she made two strings of zombies perform a synchronized driving test, which made Ma Dongmei and the others giggle non-stop.
"Take them back and give the white people a little shock to China." Lu Sheng smiled, gripped the rope with one hand, and led the two strings of zombies into the portal.
She spent an extra 500 crystal cores to allow the system to transport these zombies!
She had to squeeze every last penny out of the white man! She absolutely couldn't afford to lose money!
It was midnight when the group returned to the base. The area outside the safe zone was quiet, and most of the cheap laborers were already asleep.
Being able to fall asleep during this period is a good thing, because you can temporarily not eat or drink and get a brief moment of peace.
"I'll go by myself, you guys go back and rest first."
Lu Sheng held two strings of zombies in his hand, standing in the night with a cat and a dog. His slender figure was outlined by the dark night, casting a shadowy halo around him.
Everyone has been working hard to rebuild the city these days, and she is a thoughtful and good boss. It is only right that she gives everyone a break.
The remaining group looked at each other, hesitant to speak.
Finally, Zhao Mujia chuckled and said, "Sister Lu, we're not worried about you, we just want to see some fun..."
"Yeah, yeah, we're just killing time anyway, so let's join in the fun."
"It's rare to see a show where white people get humiliated."
Lu Sheng: "..."
She really thanked her.
Lu Sheng led two strings of zombies slowly toward the White Skin Camp. Because the new type of zombies had dark skin, they were not very conspicuous in the night and could not be noticed at all from a distance.
The first searchlight swept over about twenty meters away from the white-skinned camp.
It has considerable power, and should be the equipment of the M army before the apocalypse.
Zhuangzhuang used his little radar to scan the area. "Four sentries, around level seven, easy prey."
