The moment Zhuzhu opened the door, she had already secretly let the bugs in to check, and the bugs reported that there was no danger inside.
"What are you pretending for, Ziqiu? Let's go inside and ignore this eccentric woman." She raised her voice sarcastically and grabbed Chen Ziqiu's forearm.
Chen Ziqiu was skeptical. "Is there nothing wrong inside?"
"Ziqiu, don't you believe me? I already had the bugs check it out, it's safe inside. That little zombie must have just gotten in by chance."
Zhuzhu looked aggrieved and was about to cry.
The group of men at the Xusheng base couldn't stand seeing a woman cry, and since Zhuzhu had been on many missions with them, they immediately let their guard down.
Chen Ziqiu led the group into the laboratory, while Lu Sheng orderly distributed headlamps to everyone behind them.
The light source of a flashlight is too unstable, and it is difficult to function properly in case of an accident.
"ah!"
Just as Lu Sheng was putting the last headlamp on Zhuangzhuang's big head, a heart-wrenching scream suddenly came from in front of him.
Everyone instinctively looked up in the direction of the sound.
All the headlamps focused their beams on the sound source, sending a chill down the spines of everyone present.
The door to the sterile room in the laboratory was wide open, and a dozen or so dark-skinned child zombies crawled out of the room on their hands and feet.
The little zombies they encountered before were all infancy, but these ones looked no different from five or six-year-old children.
Within seconds, several small zombies had rushed into the team at the Xusheng base and bit through the throats of several team members.
These little monsters are picky eaters. After gnawing off the tenderest flesh at the throat, they casually toss the already dead corpse aside and turn to attack the next unlucky victim.
Chen Ziqiu's team was thrown into chaos, and in an attempt to protect themselves, they unleashed a barrage of supernatural abilities.
The strong smell of blood instantly filled the entire laboratory.
"Zhuzhu! Didn't you say there was no danger?!"
"Someone in the Xusheng base team roared angrily. In just over ten seconds, the entire team had lost nearly ten people."
"There are bound to be unexpected events when you're on a mission, why are you being so mean to me!" Zhuzhu retorted guiltily.
"This is fucking upgraded!" Zhang Xiaojuan stared in astonishment at the agile little monster in front of her.
These little zombies are incredibly fast, and their physical strength and agility far exceed those of the adult zombies they usually deal with.
Besides their formidable physical abilities, these little creatures also possess exceptional supernatural powers, most of which are close to the sixth rank.
Most of the ability users in the Xusheng base team were around the fifth-tier threshold, and were no match for these small monsters.
The entire team suffered a series of defeats and soon collapsed, hastily retreating to the doorway.
At the critical moment, Zhang Xiaojuan once again summoned the earthen wall to temporarily block the little monsters' path, allowing the people from Xusheng Base to evacuate safely.
"Quick! Lock these monsters inside!"
After Zhuzhu left through the door, she immediately tried to close the electronic door of the laboratory, completely disregarding the fact that Lu Sheng and the others were still inside.
Fortunately, Xiao Yu noticed immediately, grabbed her by the collar, and pinned her against the wall.
"seek death."
Lu Sheng grabbed Zhu Zhu by the neck and threw her directly into the horde of zombies.
She had been trying to control her aversion to stupidity as much as possible in order to resolve the issue quickly. But this woman kept teetering on the edge of disaster, and she simply couldn't take it anymore.
The tender, juicy body of the young girl was immediately devoured by the little monsters, and terrifying sounds of them slurping and feasting came from behind the earthen wall.
"this……"
Chen Ziqiu frowned slightly.
No matter what, Zhuzhu was his person, and this kind of death would greatly affect the team's morale.
"Any objections?"
Lu Sheng glanced at him coldly, her voice indifferent, "You can voice your opinions, but I won't accept them anyway."
Chen Ziqiu and the rest of the people at Xusheng Base were all petrified, not daring to say a word.
This woman clearly doesn't follow the rules; she acts entirely on a whim. What right do they have to offer any opinions? If they dared to voice them, they'd probably be setting themselves up for a trip with Zhuzhu.
That's how it is in the apocalypse; strength speaks for itself, and as long as you're strong enough, you can do whatever you want.
When Zhang Xiaojuan tore down the mud wall, Zhuzhu behind it had been gnawed away, leaving only a white skeleton.
The little zombies, their fighting spirit ignited by the sight of blood, immediately opened their gaping maws and pounced upon seeing the remaining living people.
Bang.
Just a second before the zombies charged, a bullet pierced the little monster's skull with pinpoint accuracy, leaving a charred hole in the center of its forehead.
Grayish-black, rotten brain matter splattered all over the ground. The little monster shook in disbelief a few times before collapsing heavily to the ground.
After a precise headshot, Xu Yi turned his gun around and aimed at the remaining little monsters.
Every shot hits its mark; not a single bullet misses its target.
Xu Yi didn't waste a single bullet, each one a swift and accurate headshot.
The little zombies that were just baring their teeth and claws were now lying stiffly on the ground.
Before everyone could breathe a sigh of relief, the little zombie with its brains spilled all over the ground suddenly moved, wobbling as it propped itself up.
"Can't be killed?" Sun Tiantian subconsciously froze the small corpses.
Lu Sheng didn't take it seriously, and then threw out a ball of electromagnetic energy, which shocked the little zombie that had just made a move until it was charred inside and out.
"If you don't die completely the first time, die again."
The remaining people at Xusheng Base were so frightened that they didn't dare to breathe and automatically stayed close to Chen Ziqiu.
Thankfully, they didn't ramble on about Zhuzhu's death...
If a real conflict had broken out, they would probably be lying on the ground by now.
