When Ji Hao saw the deceased, he was a little surprised because the man was Ma Zi. Previously, when Li Er was killed, Sun Junjie said that Ma Zi and Li Er had a conflict and suspected that Ma Zi was the culprit. As a result, Ma Zi cursed at him, and in a fit of anger, Sun Junjie punched Ma Zi, and the two started fighting.
Unexpectedly, Ma Zi died just one day later, and his death was just as gruesome.
If Li Er had a deep-seated hatred for the murderer, which is why he was stabbed to death with dozens of knives, then Ma Zi couldn't possibly have had the same deep-seated hatred for the murderer either; that would be too much of a coincidence.
This time, the door to the room was not locked from the inside, and there were several bloody footprints on the floor. They were a little blurry, but they could still be seen by the candles lit around the room.
Inside the room, everyone who saw Ma Zi's horrific state felt a deep tremor in their hearts. His death was so tragic; one could imagine the immense torture he must have endured, being slashed repeatedly until he bled to death.
"My God, how horrible!" A woman glanced at it, then quickly turned away, almost vomiting. It was just too bloody and made her physically uncomfortable.
"Who did it? It must be the same murderer who killed Li Er, since they even died in the same way."
"Could it be Sun Junjie? He had a conflict with Ma Zi before and even punched Ma Zi."
“Very likely. Go and call the boss and Sun Junjie over quickly.”
"We must find the murderer tonight, or I won't be able to sleep."
"Me too."
“Go ask the boss for a generator and lights. We only have candles, which aren’t bright enough to see the clues. How are we supposed to find the murderer?”
"I'll take care of it."
...........................................................
In the crowd, Pei Man looked at Ma Zi's corpse and sneered. This man had tried to take liberties with her before, but now he died so tragically. He deserved it, he deserved it!
Bai Zhihe and Yan Miaohan were pale-faced. They had heard about this before, but only now, having witnessed it firsthand, did they realize how terrifying it was.
Soon, the eldest brother, Dong Xinran, arrived. Seeing that someone had died again, he was furious. When Li Er died last time, the murderer had not yet been found. Now someone else had died. He had promised to give everyone an explanation. How was he going to clean up this mess?
Sun Junjie was completely distraught, muttering, "How did he die? Who killed him?"
He probably knew he would become the subject of suspicion, and he felt dejected, his eyes lifeless.
Nearby, a group of people automatically moved away from Sun Junjie, not wanting to stand with him, since there was a high possibility that he was the murderer.
"I didn't do it, you have to believe me, I really didn't kill him!" Sun Junjie shouted, but it was no use; instead, everyone moved further away from him.
Dong Xinran gave Sun Junjie a meaningful look, then silently connected the light bulb to the generator, instantly brightening the room.
After a careful examination, Dong Xinran discovered that Ma Zi's death should have occurred no more than an hour ago. In other words, he was probably murdered shortly after returning to his room following the dinner party.
Dong Xinran asked, "Who was the first to discover his death?"
From the crowd, a man with long hair stepped forward and said, "It's me. I'm good friends with Ma Zi. When the dinner party ended tonight, he said he hadn't had enough to drink and asked me to come to his room for another good drink. But I told him that I had already made plans with my wife tonight to do something exciting. Ma Zi said I could go to his room for drinks after I finished, so I agreed. After I comforted my wife and went to find Ma Zi, no one answered the door when I knocked."
At this point, the long-haired man's face showed terror as he continued, "After knocking for a while, I suspected something had happened, so I opened the door. It wasn't locked, and then I saw a horrifying scene: he was dead, and his death was extremely gruesome..."
Dong Xinran's icy gaze swept over everyone, his voice cold: "Does anyone else have any clues? If you don't report them, I will treat you all as murderers."
The long-haired man pointed at Sun Junjie and said angrily, "Sun Junjie has a grudge against Ma Zi, and Ma Zi told me that Sun Junjie threatened him in private, so I think it must have been Sun Junjie who did it."
"Damn it, stop framing me! Even if I had a little conflict with him, it's not enough to kill him. Besides, at this critical moment, if he dies, everyone will suspect me. Am I that stupid to cause trouble for myself?" Sun Junjie cursed.
The long-haired man thought for a moment, then looked at the bloody footprints on the ground and said, "Aren't there footprints on the ground? Come over and compare them."
Sun Junjie said unhappily, "I've already said I didn't kill anyone, but you insist on suspecting me, what can I do?"
Dong Xinran activated his supernatural ability and said sternly, "Come over here and compare, or you'll bear the consequences."
Sun Junjie was seething with hatred, but dared not defy Dong Xinran. He obediently walked over and took off his shoes.
After comparing them, it was found that the footprints were about the same size, only the patterns on the soles of the shoes were different.
The long-haired man said, "The footprints are all the same size, Sun Junjie, it must have been you!"
Sun Junjie said, "You idiot, what does it prove if the footprints are the same size? It's just a coincidence. The patterns are different, so it's definitely not me."
The long-haired man persisted, saying to Dong Xinran, "Boss, I think Sun Junjie might have changed his shoes. Why don't we bring all his shoes over and try them on? Surely they'll match."
Even with Sun Junjie's good temper, he couldn't help but fly into a rage at this moment: "Damn it, what the hell have I done to offend you? Why are you framing me like this?"
