Chapter 20 Trouble Comes Knocking

In the morning, Ji Hao got up and checked the news as usual.

He opened social media and discovered that natural disasters are becoming increasingly common around the world.

Of course, the vast majority of them are extremely cold.

Some doomsday predictions have even appeared online, causing quite a stir.

"Everyone should stock up on supplies, because the end of the world is coming, so we won't go hungry or cold."

"Yes, yes, stock up more, just in case."

"The people upstairs are obviously peddlers of counterfeit goods. Don't you have any conscience spreading such rumors?"

"It's outrageous! Officials, arrest them right now and put them in jail for a few days, then they'll behave themselves."

"Based on my experience of reading hundreds of apocalyptic novels, this extreme cold disaster is real. Everyone must believe me and stock up on supplies, such as food and cotton clothes. It's better to be prepared. Besides, even if the apocalypse doesn't come, it doesn't matter. You still need to eat, and you still need to wear cotton clothes when it's cold in winter."

"The person upstairs is very experienced, I support you!"

Just as Ji Hao was thinking about whether to remind everyone to stock up on supplies, he suddenly saw an official announcement that strongly condemned netizens who spread rumors about the end of the world, and said that they had violated the law and would be arrested.

Seeing this, Ji Hao had no choice but to put down his phone. What if he got arrested for reminding others? Who would he complain to then?

"Never mind, I'll go out and continue stockpiling." Ji Hao got up, dressed, and went out to continue stockpiling.

He went to the rented warehouse, took out his phone, and started tapping away.

I spent a lot of money before, and now there's not much left. I need to focus on stocking up on what I need, and I can't be as reckless as before.

Soon after, the takeout orders arrived one after another.

After the deliveryman left, Ji Hao put all the supplies into his spatial storage, closed the warehouse door, and planned to go on a shopping spree at various wholesale markets.

As soon as he stepped outside, more than a dozen burly men surrounded Ji Hao.

Ji Hao sneered, "Who are you?"

The leader, a scarred-faced man, grinned maliciously, "My nickname is Zhuang Ge. Someone paid to buy your legs. Kid, are you going to do it yourself, or should I do it for you?"

Ji Hao said, "Wang Youcai sent you, right?"

The scarred man said, "Sorry, no comment."

Ji Hao said, "With your numbers, you can't take me down. If you know what's good for you, get out of here. If I were to take action myself, your fate would be terrible."

Hahaha!

Everyone present burst into laughter, laughing so hard they were doubled over.

"Brother, it turns out this guy is an idiot. You've been so wise all your life, yet you're personally dealing with an idiot today. Let me handle this, so as not to ruin your reputation," one of the henchmen said.

The scarred man's smile faded as he said, "Don't be careless. I have a feeling there's something strange about this kid."

The younger brother said, "What's there to be afraid of? There are more than a dozen of us here. Are we no match for him?"

Ji Hao pointed at the henchman and said, "You, come here to die."

Enraged, the henchman swung his steel pipe and smashed it hard against Ji Hao's head.

Ji Hao neither dodged nor avoided, but grabbed the steel pipe and twisted it forcefully, breaking it in two.

Seeing this, everyone was astonished. This kid's strength was simply terrifying. No wonder he dared to make such a boast.

Ji Hao punched the henchman, who screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground, clutching his stomach and writhing in agony, his face as pale as snow.

"So he's a trained fighter. Everyone, attack together, don't hold back." The scarred man's expression turned serious, and he charged forward first.

Upon hearing the scarred man's words, the henchmen rushed out with their weapons and began to smash Ji Hao.

Ji Hao kicked one of his underlings aside, rushed to the scarred man, grabbed him, and slammed him to the ground.

With a bang, the scarred man felt dizzy and instantly lost the strength to resist.

When the underlings saw this, they felt a chill run down their spines. This guy's strength was truly terrifying. With such a simple move, he had crippled their leader.

Not only that, Ji Hao charged into the crowd, and with each move, one of his underlings fell to the ground. Before long, the entire group was beaten down, without any chance to fight back.

"Too weak, really boring." Ji Hao shook his head. He thought the other party would be much stronger, but it turned out to be nothing. It wasn't even enough for him to warm up.

The scarred man's face was serious as he gritted his teeth and said, "Kid, who exactly are you? When did someone like you appear in this underworld?"

Ji Hao said expressionlessly, "Who I am is not important. What's important is that you don't mess with me in the future, or I will never let you off so easily as I did today. Remember that?"

The scarred man just stared intently at Ji Hao without saying a word.

Ji Hao stepped on the scarred man and asked again, "Did you remember what I asked?"

The scarred man was in excruciating pain and quickly shouted, "I'll remember, I'll remember!"

"Good, otherwise you'll bear the consequences." Ji Hao said, then turned and left.

One of the henchmen asked the scarred man, "Boss, we've never suffered such a loss before. Are we really going to let him go?"

The scarred man said irritably, "What else can we do? Why don't you rush up and fight him?"

The younger brother immediately lost his temper.

The scarred man said, "We gangsters need to know who we can mess with and who we can't, or we won't even know how we died."

The scarred man stared in the direction Ji Hao had left, still feeling lingering fear. The pressure Ji Hao had put on him was immense, and he always felt that Ji Hao hadn't used his full strength. Such a person was definitely not someone to be trifled with.
