Chapter 65 Defiled by Eyes
Through the vines, Lu Zhi overheard many conversations between Amo and others, including his conversation with the leader.
Their leader is Zeng Fei, an earth-elemental ability user who is somewhat well-known.
He had just returned from a mission related to the new generation, but it was likely a secret mission, and he hadn't explained it in detail to his subordinates.
Sui Cheng thought that Lü Zhi's method of eavesdropping was really useful, as he could find out a lot of information without even leaving home.
I reckon they'll be back at base soon, much faster than I expected.
Lu Zhi and Amo met as agreed.
Amo asked again if he really wanted to join the raid.
After confirming, I took him to see the boss.
Amo's leader is Zeng Fei, a captain in the middle ranks of the raiders.
His eyes lit up when he saw Lu Zhi, and he muttered to himself, "Amo did a really good job this time. He's a real gem."
A cold glint flashed in Lu Zhi's eyes, but he pretended not to have noticed Lu Zhi's filthy thoughts and greeted him politely.
“Boss, this is the brother I told you about. He wants to join us. What do you think?” Amo asked, pretending to be serious.
"Sure, of course, why not? What's your name?" Zeng Fei looked at Lu Zhi with lecherous eyes and smiled in a very lewd way.
Lu Zhi narrowed his eyes slightly; he didn't really intend to join this organization. He thought to himself, "Maybe I should find a chance to kill this guy after I've finished questioning him."
"Can I talk to you alone?" Lu Zhi gave a seemingly harmless smile.
Zeng Fei was so infatuated with him that he forgot his own name and nodded in agreement.
"Hey Amo, you can go out now." He waved his hand, urging Amo to leave so as not to interfere with his good time.
Upon hearing this, Amo revealed a lewd and ambiguous smile, and quickly said, "Then I won't bother you any longer."
Lu Zhi clenched his fist, his knuckles cracking.
Zeng Fei was oblivious to the danger and was still asking the lawyer with a fawning expression, "Why don't we sit down and talk?"
“No need.” Lu Zhi’s tone instantly turned cold.
Zeng Fei wasn't a complete fool; he immediately realized what was happening, "You..."
He was interrupted just as he was about to question the law enforcement officer.
A vine wrapped around his body, completely silencing him.
He instinctively tried to use his powers to break free, but thorns sprouted from the vines and silently pierced his skin. Green sap entered his body, numbing him. He couldn't even move, let alone use his powers.
Zeng Fei looked terrified. He had never heard of anyone who could make his superpower disappear instantly.
"It's best not to shout. You know what the consequences will be if you disturb the people outside." Lu Zhi dragged a chair in front of him, sat down directly, crossed his long legs, and his downcast eyes were full of contempt, which made people feel cold in their hearts.
Zeng Fei shook his head repeatedly, indicating that he would not call anyone outside and hoped that the law enforcement officer would not kill him.
"Don't worry, I just want to ask you a tiny question." Lu Zhi held up a finger, with thin vines wrapped around it, giving it an odd feel.
Zeng Fei guessed that he was probably a plant-type or wood-type ability user, but among the ability users he had seen, very few could manipulate plants so flexibly.
He nodded vigorously to show that he would obey.
Lu Zhi waved his hand, and the vines wrapped around his head loosened a little, allowing him to speak.
"What do you want to ask?" Zeng Fei asked, being particularly perceptive.
"The distribution of personnel in the Azure Dragon base was plundered."
Zeng Fei said, "There are two large groups plundering in the Azure Dragon Base. The leaders of these two groups are Zhang Yuanlong, who is a water-type ability user, and Qian Hu, who is a fire-type ability user. The two don't get along very well. Our team is under Brother Long's command."
"Where is your base?" the lawyer asked again.

"We don't know the location of the headquarters either; probably only Brother Long and Brother Hu know." Zeng Fei decisively chose to betray his bosses.

Zeng Fei's expression suddenly changed, and he immediately opened his mouth as if to shout for the people outside to come in.
But the vines of the Law Enforcer were too fast, and they pierced his throat the instant he opened his mouth.
"Cough cough cough." In the next instant, Lu Zhi coughed violently, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth. He spat it out to the side, coldly watching Zeng Fei's corpse fall, then slowly stood up, his movements somewhat stiff.
With a cold expression, Lu Zhi gave the order: "After I leave, find a way to take care of yourself. Don't let anyone suspect me."
Zeng Fei nodded stiffly and blankly.
After the executioner left, Amo looked at him with surprise, "How come you came out so quickly?"
"Heh." Having done his job, Lu Zhi stopped pretending and sneered, "I don't think I'm a good fit for your organization."
"Huh?" Amo asked, a question that struck him as profound: "Why?"
The lawyer said sarcastically, "Because your boss is a bit disgusting."
Amo paused for a few seconds before realizing what had happened. It seemed the boss hadn't been able to resist making a move, but had been refused.
He was also a little curious. Given the boss's personality, if someone refused him, he would force himself on them. Why did he let the person go so easily today?
Lu Zhi snorted coldly and left without looking back.
Amo immediately went inside and, seeing that their boss was still sitting peacefully, breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Boss, why did you let him go?"

The passenger's first reaction wasn't to ask him how things were going, but rather to assume he'd been bullied, and she asked, "What did they do to you?"
Lu Zhi chuckled softly, her voice gentle, and said coquettishly, "I feel tainted by those disgusting looks."
