Chapter 43 Continuing the Journey
Sui Cheng dove into the water when the explosion occurred, but the shockwave still hit his back, causing a burning pain.
He seemed to hear Lu Zhi's voice, but before he could react, a vine wrapped around his waist, and the immense force pulled him out of the water.
The mutated corpse lay on the shore, blood flowing freely, and the air was filled with a strong, nauseating stench of blood.
"Come along?" The vines pulled him into Lu Zhi's arms.
Sui Cheng looked up at his gloomy face, his deep green eyes filled with tension and worry.
"I'm fine." Sui Cheng coughed a few times, then patted his arm reassuringly.
Long Zhan also climbed out of the water, wiped the water off his face, and said to his companion, "Luckily you pulled me out in time, otherwise I would have been blown away."
The explosion just now sent water flying more than ten meters high.
He wanted to say something more, but he felt Lu Zhi's cold gaze, as if he wanted to kill him.
Long Zhan scratched his head, completely bewildered. Then, looking at the way Lu Zhi was holding Sui Cheng, he suddenly realized and asked, "Captain Sui, is this your partner?"
