Chapter 160 Will you give birth?

Chapter 160 Will you give birth?

The first week of being a stay-at-home dad was incredibly tough for Lu Zhi, but thankfully the little monster wasn't like a normal human child who would cry and fuss at the drop of a hat, otherwise he might have really gotten so angry that he blew up the entire base.

Sui Ling felt that it might not be good to keep calling the little monster "little monster," so she asked Sui Cheng if they wanted to give the little monster a name, even a nickname would be fine.

Lu Zhi, however, was quite dismissive. He figured it was only for a few days anyway, so why bother naming it? He thought that giving it a name would just create feelings for it.

If the passenger can't bear to part with this little monster when the time comes, he'll be furious!

In the afternoon, the lab asked the passenger to take the little monster over for a checkup.

The law enforcement officers couldn't let them be alone together, fearing they might develop feelings for each other, so they practically crawled after the chauffeured passengers, intending to go together.

The little monster was being carried by the attendant. Just as its tail touched the attendant's wrist, it instinctively tried to coil around him, but was swatted away by a vine.

"Never learn your lesson!" Lu Zhi scoffed.

The little monster looked at Lu Zhi with a wronged expression, then glanced at Sui Cheng, and whispered, "Mommy."

Sui Cheng stumbled, and if Lu Zhi hadn't reacted quickly and grabbed him, he probably would have fallen.

After a week of training, the little monster spoke much more clearly and knew some simple words, but what happened today was something none of them expected.

The little monster sat obediently in the cage, its little hands gripping the small iron door, its eyes gazing longingly at the rider.

"Ahem." Lu Zhi coughed lightly to ease the awkwardness, but for some reason, he found the little monster much more pleasing to the eye.

"It's one thing for him to call you Dad, but why does he call me... Mom?" Sui Cheng glared at Lu Zhi, who was smirking, his eyes filled with annoyance.

Lu Zhi quickly composed himself, put his arm around his shoulder, and gently coaxed, "He distinguishes people by their aura, so it's normal that he sensed the same aura on you as mine. It's understandable that he mistook you for someone else."

The attendant frowned and said, "You can't call her 'Mom,' shouldn't you call her 'Dad'?"

"Bang, bang." Lu Zhi knocked on the cage and said to the little monster inside, "Did you hear that? Don't call me Mom, or she'll get angry. If she gets angry, the two of us will have nowhere to live."

The passenger glanced at him and sneered, "You're getting into character so quickly now. I don't know who was it before who was all resistance."

The lawyer chuckled nonchalantly, "How can that be the same? The child isn't just mine."

He glanced casually at the abdomen of the person accompanying him and felt a pang of regret.

"You want children?" the passenger suddenly asked him.

Lu Zhi was immediately horrified, feeling that this was a death sentence, but his expression remained calm as he said, "I don't want one. What would a different species like me want a child? Wasn't this the question I was asking you?"

He paused, his eyes darkening slightly, and said in a low voice, "Don't you humans value the continuation of your lineage the most?"

“I also have a younger sister,” the passenger said. “I’ve never cared about these things.”

Lu Zhi suddenly stopped, grabbed his hand, quickly lowered his head and kissed him on the lips, whispering, "I don't mind if you want a child."

The passenger paused for a moment, looked at him with suspicion, and asked, "Are you going to give birth?"

Lu Zhi smiled knowingly, making the passenger hesitate to continue the conversation.

Fortunately, they were almost at the lab.

The laboratory is no longer the underground level it used to be; it has been converted into a separate laboratory building.

The security guard at the entrance let them in directly.

When they got downstairs, a staff member was waiting for them.

Because the laboratory building is heavily guarded, it is impossible to enter without an internal employee ID.

"Here it is, give it to me." Zhang Jun took the little monster directly from their hands.

I glanced around the new lab, which I'd only visited once before. Last time, there weren't many things in the lab; the most striking thing was the two large experimental tubes at the far end against the wall, where two familiar faces were sitting.

Zhong Ling and Zhong Qi.

The two almost died at the New Generation Base, but after learning about the secrets of the two siblings from Xie Xinghe, they brought them back and handed them over to Zhang Jun after some discussion.

Xie Xinghe told them everything he had and everything he knew.

This also includes the possibility that Zhong Ling and Zhong Qi may have infection-resistant genes.

So Zhang Jun has been doing this all this time.

Sui Cheng couldn't help but want to ask him how the experiment was progressing.

But after a while, he managed to hold it in.

Zhang Jun was examining the little monster's body. After looking at it for a while, he exclaimed in surprise, "His development is so complete!"

Except for the horns on its head and the tail on its back, the little monster is exactly the same as a human, even its internal organs are still developing.

"What have you been feeding him lately?" Zhang Jun asked curiously.

The attendant glanced at the law master and said, "He feeds himself with his own energy."

"No wonder it's so good-looking." Zhang Jun pushed up his glasses, grabbed the little monster's arm, and was drawing blood from it.

The little monster didn't resist, probably because it recognized him and knew that resisting would be useless. So it obediently waited for him to finish drawing blood, and then looked at the passenger with a pitiful expression filled with tears.

It looks like they're about to file a complaint.

Sui Cheng's heart softened, and he suddenly felt that this scene was somewhat familiar.

He glanced at Lu Zhi, then at the little monster. The two strange creatures were exactly alike in their pitiful act, just like biological children.

"How much longer do we need to nurse him back to health?" Lu Zhi's tone was full of impatience.

“Yes, I was just about to tell you that.” Zhang Jun put away the blood he had drawn, adjusted his glasses, and said, “Xuan Linwen isn’t planning to come back anytime soon; he’s in District Four.”

That area is in District Four, which is the original location of the Azure Dragon Base.

The passenger asked, "What is he doing over there?"

Lu Zhi also said with a dissatisfied look, "Can't we just send the little monster over there?"

Zhang Jun shook his head and answered one by one: "While helping out there, the little monsters cannot leave our monitoring range, so they can only stay in Zone 1 and Zone 2, and must be personally watched by our people, so you may have to raise them for a long time."

"Ugh, so annoying." Lu Zhi irritably scratched his hair and said sharply, "Where are Yang Xie and the others?"

"They have a child at home, so it's inconvenient for them."

"It's not convenient for us yet!" Lu Zhi muttered to himself.

After the baby was born, his and his companion's happiness index kept declining, seriously affecting the time he could spend with his wife.

The law enforcement officer was absolutely furious.

The passenger knew perfectly well what he was hating, and coughed awkwardly.

Zhang Jun said dismissively, "What's wrong with this? You're unlikely to have children anyway, so why not enjoy the feeling of being a father early?"

"Fuck you, fucking good!" Lu Zhi's face was so gloomy it could drip water.
