Chapter 134 Ontology
I went to the headquarters with them and didn't come out until almost half a day later.
A group of people had a serious argument with him.
The others meant that they could accept Lawbringers living on the base, but in the form of being locked up in a laboratory like the other Xenomorphs.
The passenger, of course, disagreed and started arguing with them.
Although Dang Hongyuan and Yang Xie were both speaking up for him, they were outnumbered.
Finally, the attendant said, "Lawyer is an outsider to me. You have no right to judge him. From today onwards, I will be his sole designated guardian."
Although we were all frightened by him.
The so-called designated guardian means that if the alien does something wrong, the guardian will be punished along with it.
“He’s an alien species, after all. Are you sure you want to do this?” Dang Hongyuan asked him in a deep voice.
Sui Cheng nodded and said, "Lawyer is not only a different species, he is also my boyfriend, and I can only be his designated guardian."
The group was completely shocked by his words and didn't know what to say for a long time.
"That mutant has disappeared." The commander spoke, looking at Sui Cheng with a solemn expression. "We have approved the designated guardian you mentioned. He is very powerful and cannot be captured by anyone else, especially the new generation. So, Sui Cheng, do you know where he is?"
The passenger remained silent for a while.
He had originally planned to go to Xinghai City after resolving matters here, to see if he could find the true form of Law Enforcer.
He glanced at everyone and nodded, saying, "Perhaps we can give it a try."
"Yang Xie, you and your attendants will go together."
They were still worried about traveling with him, so they left the two most reliable people to watch over him.
Sui Cheng pursed his lips, his thoughts a jumble of emotions, and could only respond in silence.
The next morning, they packed their things and set off.
After about three days of driving, we arrived outside Xinghai City.
But what they saw shocked them immensely.
The entire city seemed to be encircled by vines, and they couldn't even find the entrance.
Occasionally, the horrific cries of the aliens could be heard from inside, but they would quickly return to silence.
"Can we go in?" Chen Jiang leaned against the car window, staring wide-eyed at the scene in the distance.
Dang Hongyuan and his group were also wondering whether they could get in.
"Let's try getting closer first."
They parked their car some distance away and then slowly approached with their weapons.
They finally found a spot with relatively few vines, but as soon as they got close, the vines automatically launched an attack.
Sui Cheng looked at the triangular leaves on the vine, reached out and grabbed one that was rushing towards him. His palm was bled red, but his expression didn't change at all.
"Let me in."
The vines trembled slightly, and the attack weakened somewhat.
It seems they recognized him.
Sui Cheng tried to take two steps forward, but the vines seemed unwilling to let him in. They didn't attack him, but instead blocked him outside.
“Lv Zhi, I know you can hear me, let me in.” He gripped the vine tightly to prevent it from suddenly running away.
The vines swayed in front of him, sometimes coming closer, sometimes moving away. Some tender branches even climbed up his shoulder, trying to get close to him, but were forcibly pulled away by the thicker vines next to him as soon as they touched him.
At first glance, it looks like they're vying for favor.
"I'm saying this one last time: let me in, or you'll face the consequences."
The passenger's tone became stern.
The vines immediately stopped, and one by one they began to play dead.
But the vines blocking his way still cleared a path, clearly intended for him to go in alone.
"Captain!" Chen Jiang called out to his attendant, somewhat worried about him going in alone.
The attendant stopped and said in a deep voice, "You wait outside. I will contact you at any time."
After he went inside, the entrance was blocked by vines again, indicating that they didn't want anyone else to go in.
Sui Cheng initially thought that Lu Zhi's true form would be near the coffee shop, but after walking a distance in that direction, a vine wrapped around his ankle and pulled him in another direction.
"Are you taking me there on your own initiative?"
He followed the vines, walking for an unknown amount of time, only feeling that the scenery around him was becoming more and more familiar.
Upon arriving at the entrance of a residential complex, they realized that this was the location of his home!
Before the end times came, Suicheng and Suiling lived in the old house left by their parents. After the end times came, they never came back and don't know how things are here.
There are more vines here than outside, as if they grew out of the inside.
He guessed that the true form of the Law Enforcer was here.
There are many strange corpses outside the residential area, which were probably killed by law enforcement.
I followed my habit of heading in the direction of my home.
Although he didn't know how Lu Zhi knew he lived there, he still subconsciously felt that Lu Zhi must be in his house.
He opened the rotten iron door and followed him up to the fifth floor. The corridor was covered with vines, which wrapped around his legs, arms, and waist as soon as they saw him. They were as sticky as Lu Zhi.
Sui Cheng easily pushed open the door, and the scene inside shocked him even more.
The entire house was filled with vines, which even covered the walls and kept climbing. If it were anyone else, they would be scared half to death.
The passenger was also seeing this scene for the first time. He rubbed his arms and then went inside.
As soon as the vines sensed him, they climbed up like dogs smelling meat.
"Get off." Suicheng, who was tightly entangled by it, quickly pulled the vines off.
He needs to find the true form of the Law Enforcer; this room is full of vines, who knows which one is the true form?
After glancing around, Sui Cheng walked towards his bedroom.
Pushing open the door, he saw Lu Zhi lying naked on his bed, his limbs transformed into vines that had fallen to the ground, as if he were being controlled by the vines.
His chest was covered in a constantly moving vine tattoo, and his left chest rose and fell like a heartbeat, with light green veins spreading all over his body like blood vessels.
Sui Cheng's Adam's apple bobbed as he carefully avoided the vines on the ground and went inside.
"Aren't you scared?" Lu Zhi opened his eyes, turned his head to look at him, and his expression was a little different from usual, as if it was somewhat indifferent, which made Sui Cheng feel a little heavy in his heart.
"What are you doing?" The passenger's voice was a little hoarse.
When he saw Lu Zhi, he finally felt relieved, but hearing his cold tone made his heart ache.
“Integration.” Lu Zhi withdrew his gaze, suppressed his emotions, and closed his eyes.
"Hmm." Sui Cheng responded in a muffled voice, took a few steps and walked towards the bedside, reached out and picked up the vines that were drooping on the ground, and placed them on the bed.
Lu Zhi's eyelids trembled, and when he touched her like that, she almost couldn't hold back, and her chest heaved even more.
"How long will it take?" the passenger asked him.
Lu Zhi gritted his teeth, trying to make his voice sound normal: "I don't know, maybe a few days, maybe a month, or maybe several months."
"Okay, sure." Sui Cheng responded and opened the bedroom door.
Lu Zhi thought he was about to leave, so he quickly opened his eyes and looked at him, only to meet the eyes of Sui Cheng.
"Don't worry, I won't leave," the passenger said, looking at him.
Lu Zhi's calm heart was completely shattered by these words, and his chest, which had no heart, was burning hot.
Sui Cheng thought for a moment, then walked back, approached Lu Zhi, leaned down and kissed him on the lips, whispering, "You're still very handsome."
Lu Zhi's pupils contracted sharply, and then he closed his eyes. If he hadn't been unable to move his limbs, he would have held Sui Cheng tightly, but he couldn't do anything now.
"I'll go out and take a look." Sui Cheng got up, but just as he stood up, the vines wrapped around his waist pulled him forcefully, causing him to fall directly into Lu Zhi's arms.
The vines were like his arms, clinging to the back of his neck, and Lu Zhi's voice came from his ear: "Just stay with me like this."
"Okay." Sui Cheng lay on his chest, listening to the faint heartbeat coming from his chest, her eyes a little sore.
