Chapter 95 Devouring Alien Species

Chapter 95 Devouring Alien Species

Dang Hongyuan was still interrogating Xuan Linwen. This guy had strong mental power, and Ai Ling's mental hypnosis was useless against him, so he hadn't gotten anything out of him for a long time.

This caused them great distress.

Long Zhan brought his entourage here because Xuan Linwen took the initiative to ask to see the entourage, hoping that he might say something.

At the door of the interrogation room, Dang Hongyuan saw them approaching and patted his companion on the shoulder, saying, "Be careful of this person."

Sui Cheng nodded. He knew this person had strong mental power, and if he wasn't restrained by the law, who knows what he might do.

"You're here. Didn't the other one come with you?" Xuan Lin looked over when he heard the door open. He glanced behind his entourage and didn't see Lu Zhi. He said he didn't care, but he was actually relieved.

He then sat down opposite him and said coldly, "Just say what you have to say."

“I want to live. I can tell you about the new generation.” Xuan Linwen glanced at the glass. He knew that Dang Hongyuan and the others were listening to their conversation outside.

Sui Cheng followed his gaze and glanced at him, a bad feeling creeping into his heart. He frowned and said, "You say the same things to the Party members and the others, so why do you have to say them to me alone?"

“Because we share a secret.” Xuan Linwen curled his lips into a triumphant smile.

Sui Cheng understood that Xuan Linwen was trying to drag him down with him. When Dang Hongyuan and the others heard this, they would definitely think that he and Xuan Linwen were hiding something big from them, and they might be suspected.

He glanced at the glass wall again, but unfortunately it was one-way and he couldn't see the expressions on Dang Hongyuan's and the others' faces.

"What exactly is this alien experiment?" the passenger asked him directly.

Xuan Linwen paused for a moment and then asked, "Have you ever seen a human devour an alien species?"

"What?" The passenger looked shocked.

Xuan Linwen continued, "Since alien species can devour humans, why can't humans devour alien species? Relying solely on crystal cores, it will only become increasingly difficult for humans to enhance their abilities."

Sui Cheng frowned and said, "Is that all? There is an infectious agent in the alien body. Once a human is infected, there is a high probability that he will also be mutated."

"It's just mutation." Xuan Linwen waved his hand and said, "As long as the human will is strong enough, it can resist the infection of alien species, just like me."

The scales on his face reappeared, appearing as light-colored black spots when he wasn't using his powers. They didn't completely disappear and remained somewhat different from human skin.

"Your idea is too audacious." Sui Cheng's expression was solemn. He thought that manipulating alien species for experiments was already incredible enough, but he did not expect that the new generation of people had even bigger ambitions.

No wonder they're called the new generation.

"Who is behind the new generation?" the passenger asked again.

Xuan Linwen said, "There is no leader behind the new generation."

"So how did you all get together?"

Xuan Linwen waved his hand and said, "Of course we share the same ideals!"

Sui Cheng frowned, feeling that Xuan Linwen's words were not very credible.

Xuan Linwen could tell what he was thinking just by looking at his expression, and continued, "At the very beginning of the apocalypse, a group of people were trapped on a small island and did not receive any rescue. Many of them died at the hands of the aliens, but some people, like me, were devoured by the aliens when they were being devoured, and gained some of the aliens' abilities. Later, they spontaneously organized themselves together, which led to the formation of the New Generation Faction."

"What about the laboratory? Without resources, it's simply impossible to conduct such a large number of experiments."

"Later, a group of Americans came to us, wanting to know how they managed to devour the alien species and survive, and proposed the alien experiment."

The passenger asked, "You must know the identities of these Americans, right?"

“I know,” Xuan Linwen said. “There are five people, all from the same laboratory. The leader is named Hicks, a well-known biologist from abroad.”

The person in the carriage may not know this name, but that doesn't mean others don't. Just ask Professor Zhang Jun in the lab.

"There are a few more questions," the attendant said coldly. "What is the relationship between Plunder, Base One, and the New Generation?"

Xuan Linwen's eyes flickered for a moment, and after a few seconds he said, "We can be partners."

The attendant asked, "Do you know who the leader of this raiding operation is?"

“I know, I’ve met him once,” Xuan Lin said. “However, I don’t intend to tell you.”

He looked at the wall, as if looking at Dang Hongyuan and the others outside, and smiled, "If I tell you everything, what if you kill me to cover it up? I have to keep something from you so you'll keep me alive, right?"

Having been outmaneuvered, Sui Cheng knew he wouldn't get anything out of him now, so he got up and walked outside. He had done what he needed to do, and the rest was up to Dang Hongyuan and the others.

“Team Leader, the rest is up to you.” The attendant was still worried that Dang Hongyuan might ask him about the secret Xuan Linwen had mentioned.

But after they came out, Dang Hongyuan and the others acted as if they hadn't heard anything and didn't intend to ask him anything.

However, Suicheng felt that they had most likely guessed that it was related to the law.

“I will bring him back to the base.” Dang Hongyuan said, looking at Xuan Linwen in the room, “The information he knows is very important to us. Haicheng is full of dangers, and leaving him here may lead to accidents.”

The passenger asked, "How is the base doing now?"

Dang Hongyuan said, "Everything is fine. Base One has been behaving itself lately, so it seems they're not ready for a full-scale war yet."

"What about Bai Xuefeng?" The servant had been thinking about this.

Dang Hongyuan frowned and said, "It's still the same, the meaning is unclear. They have cooperation with Base One, but they don't want to get too involved with them. Moreover, before I came to Haicheng, many of their ability users were poached by Base One."

Long Zhan couldn't help but complain, "I really don't know what he's thinking. Actually, we talked to them about the base integration half a year ago, and his attitude was very clear at the time, but he changed his mind so soon."

Sui Cheng lowered his eyes and wondered if something had happened to Bai Xuefeng during the past six months.

“Party leader, could you please ask Xuan Linwen who the rest of their organization are, especially whether there are any spies within the base?”

“I know all of that.” Dang Hongyuan nodded, then had Long Zhan escort him away.

After the chariot left, Dang Hongyuan entered the interrogation room and sat face to face with Xuan Linwen for several minutes without saying a word.

Xuan Linwen couldn't help but say helplessly, "If you have any questions for the Party team, just ask. Don't look at me like that, it's kind of scary."

"Your name sounds familiar, but I couldn't quite place it before. It just suddenly came to mind."

Dang Hongyuan's words caused Xuan Linwen's expression to change slightly. "What does Captain Dang mean by that?"

"The island you're talking about is Xiaonan Island, right?" Dang Hongyuan brought it up because he remembered the island.

It wasn't that no one survived on the island; one person came out alive, uninfected, and even became a leader at their Huaxia base.

That was Qin Ying, the head of the Procuratorate.
