Chapter 3, Going Out to Slay Monsters
"Cousin, cousin, this severed head can still talk."
When Zhong Linlin saw that the severed head on the ground could still talk, she quickly hid behind Zhong Bingxuan, her voice trembling. She didn't take the faceless clay figure's earlier provocation to heart at all.
Anyone could potentially harm her, but her cousin would never do so.
"It's alright, it won't be jumping around for long."
Zhong Bingxuan patted Zhong Linlin's palm, took out a makeup mirror, and said to the severed head of the faceless clay figure with a blank expression, "You are ultimately just a monster, just like those two monsters who impersonated my parents.
