Chapter 103 The game begins, have some fun!

A chilling fear gripped Jiang Chan's heart instantly; it was an instinctive reaction left behind by countless deaths.

Her hands trembled uncontrollably, and the keychain made a soft clinking sound.

no!

We can't die!

I can't die again!

A surge of overwhelming hatred erupted like a volcano, instantly overwhelming her fear! Her eyes suddenly turned sharp as knives!

Fragments of memories from countless cycles of death flashed wildly through her mind: the structure of this corridor, the corners, which floorboards would make a sound, where the next intersection led... especially, the staircase leading to the lower cargo hold!

Next to the cargo hold is the "Drowning Nest"—one of the areas where water ghosts spawn most frequently!

"Blood Slaughter"... Players... Disregard NPCs... Keys... Efficiency...

A cold and insane plan took shape in an instant!

She stood up abruptly, her movements as swift as a shadow.

Without the slightest hesitation, she tore off several spare keys of varying sizes from the keychain, leaving only the most crucial master key in her hand.

Then, she took a deep breath, her eyes resolute and cold.

She strode to the door of the lounge and flung open the heavy wooden door!

Squeak—

The jarring sound of the door opening was particularly jarring in the quiet corridor.

A few steps away from the door, three figures were walking towards them.

The leader was an extremely burly, bald man with a hideous scar on his face and fierce eyes; he was none other than the captain of the Blood Butcher gang!

Behind him followed a man of well-proportioned build, with sinister eyes and two curved swords hanging at his waist; and a tall, thin man wearing black leather armor, toying with a poisoned dagger in his hand.

The three of them stopped abruptly, their eyes instantly locking onto Jiang Chan, who was standing at the door.

Especially when he saw the brass keychain clutched tightly in her hand, his eyes immediately flashed with greed and cruelty!

"Oh? The little lamb came out by itself?" The tall, thin assassin whistled, the dagger spinning nimbly between his fingers, his eyes fixed on the meat on a chopping board.

"It saves us the trouble of looking for it." The man with the scimitar licked his lips and placed his hand on the hilt of his scimitar.

Captain Blood Butcher grinned, revealing a cruel smile, and strode towards Jiang Chan. "Give me the key. I'll give you a quick death."

Jiang Chan's face instantly switched to the original owner's terrified and scared expression.

She screamed, as if terrified, and turned to run frantically down the corridor! While running, she deliberately stumbled, then suddenly flung her hand out—

Clang! Clang...

Half a bunch of keys flew out of his hand, hit the cold metal floor with a crisp sound, and then slid several meters away, stopping at a very conspicuous corner of the corridor!

She herself, in a panic, turned into the dimly lit corridor leading to the lower cargo hold!

"Quick! The key is lost!" the tall, thin assassin shouted.

"Chase! We want the keys and the man!" Captain Blood Butcher roared, charging towards the half-set of keys without hesitation.

He bent down to pick up the key, his eyes growing even more ferocious and greedy as he looked at the remaining bloodstains and wear marks on it.

"Looks like it's down there! Chase after it! As usual, deal with the maid and get the complete key! Hurry!"

The three of them didn't take the "struggle" of a low-level NPC seriously at all, nor did they think about why she would "just happen" to drop the key in such an obvious place and "just happen" to escape in that direction.

Their contempt for NPCs is ingrained in their bones; all they care about is the efficiency and thrill of getting the complete key and completing the task.

Like sharks smelling blood, the three rushed into the even colder and darker staircase leading to the lower cargo hold without hesitation!

Jiang Chan didn't actually run far.

She hid in a thick, cobweb-covered shadow at the bottom of the stairwell, her back pressed against the cold, damp, musty wall, holding her breath.
