Chapter 140 The Green Cage and the Deadly Poison of Despair!

sticky.

It was damp and cold, with a strange, slightly sweet, and slightly metallic liquid clinging to my body. It felt like being soaked in a large jar of ice-cold honey; even moving was difficult.

Jiang Chan suddenly opened her eyes.

Her vision was blurry, a greenish blur. Her eyelids felt heavy, as if weighed down by something. She struggled to move her eyes, but all she could see was the murky green liquid swaying in front of her, and the distorted, cold-gleaming metal ceiling outside the glass jar.

I can't breathe.

It wasn't water; this green liquid seemed to breathe? But the feeling of being tightly enveloped and completely trapped made her heart tighten.

He moved his arm.

A sharp pain shot through me!

It wasn't physical pain, but the pain of those cold metal tubes being pierced into her blood vessels, like tree roots drilling in! Not just in her arms! Chest! Thighs! Several thick tubes, hard and cold, were inserted into her body! The other end was connected to a complex machine on the outside of the glass jar.

She was locked in a huge glass jar, like a laboratory specimen. Outside the jar were cold machines flashing various indicator lights. The air was filled with a strong smell of disinfectant, making one's nose sting, mixed with a faint smell of rust.

Where is this?

what happened?

[Buzz—]

With a slight vibration, a stream of warm liquid flowed in through one of the tubes inserted into the arm. The body seemed to instinctively absorb the warmth, and the suffocating feeling of constriction eased slightly.

Organ container?

Sweet poison?

Implanting a gardener? Genetic breakdown?

Pollution? Plague?

Jiang Chan's mind went blank!

She's... a living organ bank? Providing parts to some kind of "gardener"?

A chill instantly shot up her spine, colder than the green liquid that had soaked her!

Just then, fragments of the original owner's memories flooded in:

Fragment 1: In a dimly lit alley, a sharp pain shot through the back of my neck, and everything went black.

Fragment 2: I woke up in a terrifyingly clean, white place, my hands and feet were bound, and a person in a white coat, whose face I couldn't see, approached me with a syringe...

Fragment 3: And then there's this. Endless green tanks. Cold tubes. Regular nutrient infusions. No sense of time. Only routine checks, cold fingers pressing on her body, the scanning light of instruments sweeping across her chest, abdomen... like assessing the quality of livestock meat.

Fragment 4: After each check-up, an emotionless electronic voice would sound over the loudspeaker: "...Container Gamma-7, heart activity maintained excellently, liver condition good, kidney reserves sufficient..." as if reporting inventory.

Fragment 5: The deepest fear comes from "next door." Those "neighbors" who, like her, were preserved in jars, some were mutilated... some jars were empty... they were moved away. What does moving them mean? To be "harvested"? And then "discarded" like garbage?

Waste disposal...dissolving...incineration...

Despair filled her lungs like a green liquid! She was treated like a pile of living organs! Fattened up, then harvested! Squeezed dry of her last bit of value, then disposed of like garbage!

She wanted to scream! She wanted to struggle! She wanted to smash that damn glass jar!

My body tensed up suddenly! I tried to raise my arm to smash the blurry glass wall!

Buzz—!

A powerful electric current surged through the tubes inserted into my body! It felt like countless red-hot needles piercing my nerves!

"Ugh—!" A painful groan was choked in her throat by the green, sticky liquid! Her body convulsed violently! The green liquid sloshed violently as she struggled!

Outside the jar, a red light began flashing rapidly, accompanied by a low alarm sound!

[WARNING: Container Gamma-7 is experiencing a violent bioelectrical reaction! Initiate Level 1 calming procedures!]

A cold, electronic broadcast began.

Immediately afterwards, a stream of even colder liquid with a strong sedative effect was injected into Jiang Chan's body through two of the tubes!

The strength to struggle vanished instantly. Her body went limp, sinking into the viscous liquid, only her heart still pounding wildly from the excruciating pain and immense fear. Each beat tugged at the cold tubes attached to her body, sending waves of dull pain through her.

Do not move.

Struggling will only invite punishment.

The broadcast continued its monotonous blare: "...Soothing procedure in effect...Bioelectrical response subsided...Container Gamma-7, remain stable. Your value lies in maintaining optimal organ condition. Resistance is a pointless waste..."

value?

Maintaining organ function?

So that it could be picked?

Jiang Chan lay paralyzed in the cold liquid, a profound sense of humiliation and chilling anger coiling around her heart like venomous snakes.

The original owner wanted to live... and the current owner doesn't want to be cut up either! Doesn't want to be dismantled and sold as spare parts! Doesn't want to end up as a pile of melted waste!

The system panel remained stubbornly suspended, its task requirements cold and cruel.

A sweet poison... causing the transplant recipient's genes to disintegrate...

Chain contamination... triggered an epidemic...

Since it's destined to be dismantled, since it's destined to become garbage...

Then let those who dismantle her, and those who consume her organs, pay the heaviest price!

Make yourself, this "part," the most deadly bomb!

Let this seemingly sterile paradise turn into a plague-ridden hell!

"System..." Jiang Chan uttered a hoarse thought in her mind, "How do I poison you? How do I turn my organs into a deadly poison?"
