They were like countless high-speed spinning blades, frantically cutting and tearing at her consciousness! Each slash brought a deep, bone-chilling, not-physical-painful, but even more devastatingly cold, tearing sensation!
"Ugh!" Jiang Chan groaned, clenching her teeth. Her eyes were too bright to open under the intense light. She could only rely on instinct to desperately hold onto that one and only coordinate deep within her consciousness—the coordinates of the Other Shore Core!
Like grabbing a red-hot iron chain, enduring the intense burning sensation, treating yourself as a stubborn rock, struggling forward in the torrent!
The channel was violently twisting and vibrating! This wasn't a physical structure, but a data-level collapse spreading! The frenzied buzzing of electricity, the shrill screams of space tearing apart, and the final, chaotic impacts of those painful fragments of consciousness awakened by the virus... all converged into a deafening noise storm, frantically assaulting her consciousness.
She was like a bullet shooting against the current, struggling forward through the collapsing tunnel. Time lost its meaning. Every second felt like dancing on a scalding knife's edge. Tiny cracks were constantly being torn open on the surface of her consciousness, escaping faint specks of light, only to be forcibly mended by her powerful willpower.
finally!
At the end of the raging stream of light ahead, a gigantic but extremely unstable source of light suddenly appeared! Like a heart on the verge of shattering, burning to its limit!
The Core of the Other Shore!
Jiang Chan was suddenly pulled out of the raging torrent of data and slammed hard onto a cold, hard, and constantly vibrating surface. She struggled to her feet and looked up.
The space before them was so vast it was suffocating, like the interior of a cold, giant metal egg. There was no ground, no sky. Only endless, dark void. And in the center of this void, suspended an indescribable behemoth.
It was composed of pure light, but no longer that gentle, sacred radiance. It resembled a star undergoing a supernova explosion, its surface covered with dense, deep, dark red cracks, like a spiderweb!
Intense light, mixed with ominous dark red pulses, erupted wildly from the depths of those cracks! Each pulse burst was accompanied by a violent, heart-stopping tremor throughout the entire core space!
Boom! ...
The entire core space suddenly sank downwards! On the enormous sphere of light, a new and larger crack, like a hideous scar, was violently torn open! Dark red light gushed out like blood! A deafening explosion echoed through the void!
Countless data shockwaves, interwoven with pure white light and murky dark red, like raging cosmic rays, relentlessly bombarded the enormous sphere of light from the endless darkness at the edge of the core space! Each impact deepened the cracks on its surface and made the light even more chaotic!
This is the impact of the awakened consciousness data stream! This is the destructive energy generated when "Perfect Paradise" collapsed! It is frantically tearing at the source that created this eternal nightmare!
The sphere of light twisted, deformed, and struggled in agony. It tried to gather power to repair the cracks, but each time a ray of light appeared, it was mercilessly torn apart by a new, more violent shockwave! Trapped here, it passively endured the backlash from the "paradise" it had created with its own hands!
Jiang Chan struggled to her feet, standing on the cold, flat surface, the platform shaking violently in the aftershocks. She steadied herself, her gaze fixed on the core of the violently struggling sphere of light.
There is no guiding light being. There is no incarnation. This is the most primal and naked essence of "The Other Shore." A prisoner who has suffered countless years in the hell of logic, and is now being torn apart by the monster he himself fed.
She took a deep breath, and with all her might, shouted at the collapsing behemoth, "The Other Shore!!!"
Her voice sounded incredibly small in the tremor of the space, and was quickly drowned out by the deafening roar of the explosion and the shockwave.
But the enormous sphere of light seemed to tremble violently! Like a dying person hearing a distant call. It laboriously and extremely slowly shifted the center of its "perception" away from the endless shockwaves of pain, and finally... landed on Jiang Chan.
A faint stream of consciousness, like a candle flickering in the wind, cautiously and with an indescribable weariness and... almost humble inquiry, gently touched the edge of Jiang Chan's consciousness.
"You...have come..." The voice was no longer a cold, electronic tone, but filled with countless fragments of chaotic noise, like a poorly connected communication channel, intermittent yet carrying a sense of relief, "...commands..."
Jiang Chan instantly understood its meaning. It couldn't stop, it couldn't resist; it could only await its end. And it waited for it.
"--Can a requiem end all this?"
The light from the giant sphere suddenly collapsed inward, as if in fear, or perhaps in relief.
It painstakingly gathered its last bit of stable power, and an extremely thin, pure white band of light, like the last thread spun by a dying spider, trembled and slowly extended from the core of the light sphere, drifting down to the platform in front of Jiang Chan, where it condensed into a slightly glowing, extremely complex geometric interface.
“...Yes…” the weak voice carried utter, heavy weariness, “...Completely…Safely…Erase…Rest in peace…”
"...I...cannot...act...on my own..."
"……enter……"
"...The end..."
Its voice grew fainter and fainter, accompanied by another massive burst of energy and tearing apart of the sphere's surface. It was urging, and also pleading, to end this endless cycle of suffering.
