Chapter 3 Building 17
He was speechless. He asked the driver to wait outside and entered the residential area alone. He wandered around there for more than ten minutes but couldn't find Building 17 where the protagonist lived.
He was already annoyed, and the background music that kept playing in his mind gave him a headache.
The more they argue, the more annoying it becomes, and the more annoying it becomes, the more they argue.
He couldn't find the way and the mobile phone navigation was not accurate, so he could only ask a passerby in the community for directions.
What was strange was that before he opened his mouth to call out to the passerby, the background music suddenly changed its tune - the melody became dangerous and exciting, with a sense of oppression that made one's scalp tingle.
He Rui frowned, not understanding the sudden change in the background music, but he didn't pay much attention to it. He raised his head and looked at the man in front of him seriously.
Seeing this, he couldn't help but be stunned.
The other person was more than half a head taller than him, at least 1.9 meters tall, with broad shoulders and long legs. His facial features were handsome to the point of being sharp, and he exuded a cold aura that kept strangers away.
His appearance is so eye-catching that it is rare to see such handsomeness on earth.
What a pity, He Rui thought, if there hadn't been the end of the world, with his current financial resources, he would have spent a lot of money to make this person a star, put him on TV, and let people all over the country see this handsome face.
He Rui looked at the other person silently, waiting for him to answer him.
The other party also looked at him.
The two of them stared at each other and fell silent.
Ji Changqing didn't say anything, but looked coldly at the young man in front of him who had pale skin, handsome features, and a slightly thin figure.
He had a vague impression of this man.
Five years ago, before the disaster struck, this guy from the finance department had caused him trouble several times because of a woman he didn't know.
And after the disaster, it was never seen again.
What he didn't understand was why this guy was pretending not to know him. His expression and tone were completely different from his previous arrogant attitude, and he was pretending to ask him for directions.
Building 17 is where he lives.
Five years ago in his previous life, he had no memory of seeing this person come here.
But the other party's posture clearly showed that he was heading straight for him with a clear target.
It felt like a different way of trying to annoy him.
If I were my old self, maybe I would still be in the mood to play a trick on this fool.
But now, he was in no mood to deal with this kind of stuff.
Ji Changqing looked at the guy in front of him coldly, opened his thin lips slightly, and spit out a word rudely like chasing a dog, "Get lost."
After saying that, he was too lazy to pay any attention to this person anymore.
Just go around the other person and walk away slowly.
"What the hell?! Are you sick?" He Rui widened his eyes, unable to believe his ears.
He became furious and rushed forward in two steps, grabbed the guy who was trying to run away after cursing at someone, and pulled his arm to prevent him from leaving.
He would take revenge on the spot if he had a grudge, and he would not tolerate being scolded.
"Who are you? Why are you scolding me? I just asked for directions. What's wrong with that? Why are you yelling at me?" He Rui had just finished complaining angrily when his hand was violently shaken away by the other party, and he even got a cold look from that guy.
His attitude was terrible, and he looked at him as if he were a piece of trash.
He Rui had a rage stuck in his chest, making him feel uncomfortable. Seeing the man turning around and trying to leave, he angrily chased after him and grabbed the arrogant guy again.
"Apologize! Do you hear me? You can't leave without an apology!"
The matter of finding the protagonist will be put on hold for now. First of all, he can't let himself be bullied by the natives of this place and pretend to be a grandson and swallow his anger.
"Let go." Ji Changqing looked at the guy who was looking for trouble with disgust, not knowing what this guy was up to.
He already wants to hit someone.
He Rui became stubborn, "I won't let go! Apologize to me honestly! Who are you?" Seeing that passers-by nearby had already picked up their phones to take pictures of them, He Rui subconsciously wanted to cover his face.
But then I thought, I'm not even on Earth anymore, so what's there to be afraid of?
The world is about to end anyway, so it doesn’t matter if it is photographed and posted online.
The background melody inexplicably became tense and solemn, but this did not seem to be due to his emotional fluctuations, but rather the influence of some external factors.
But He Rui wasn't sure whether the background music had foreseen the danger.
Because ever since he asked this passerby for directions, the background music started to sound strange.
The hand that was holding the other person's arm was shaken off again, and before he could react, his wrist was grabbed by the man and dragged him forward.
"Aren't you going to Building 17? I'll take you there." The man spoke slowly, but his voice was unnaturally cold.
He Rui staggered forward a few steps as he was dragged. His steps were unsteady and the forced dragging almost made him trip over himself.
From the man's tone and attitude, it was clear that this guy definitely didn't really want to help him find a house, but instead seemed to be looking for trouble.
"Let go!" He Rui struggled for a few times, but his weak physique was revealed at this time.
He couldn't break free from the shackles of the man in front of him.
The turtle staggered forward uncontrollably as if he was carrying a small, broken dog.
He was so angry that he really wanted to kick this guy.
