Liu Mingfeng and Feng Minghao were very happy to see their wives, and they wanted to go over, but when they smelled the scent on themselves, they stopped and put down what they were carrying. After rummaging through the bags, they took out a change of clothes, told their wives to go wash up, and immediately ran to Zhao Xiuxiang's room to wash up.
Wu Qiaoqiao and Lin Yuwei were still confused as to why he had only come back to say hello before running off again. Feng Mingyue picked up the things left behind by her two brothers and walked toward her two sisters-in-law.
"Sister-in-law, cousin-in-law, stop looking and let's go inside. My two brothers came back by train, and you can't imagine how bad they smelled. They probably went to Aunt Wu's old house to wash up so as not to bother you."
Wu Qiaoqiao and Lin Yuwei nodded when they heard Feng Mingyue say that. Wu Qiaoqiao told Feng Mingyue to put the things there and that she would come out to help bring them in after she put the children in. Feng Mingyue said that it was not necessary, as there were only a few things. However, before Feng Mingyue could refuse, the two sisters-in-law turned around and carried the two children inside. Tiedan and Daya did not follow them in, but instead went to Feng Mingyue to help her carry the things. Although the two little ones were too small to carry big things, they still reached out to help carry some small items.
Seeing how sensible Tiedan and Daya were, Feng Mingyue felt a pang of heartache, and her hatred for Cai Shufen's family intensified. However, knowing the Cai family's fate, she gradually let go of it. Nevertheless, she decided to treat Tiedan and Daya even better in the future. With that in mind, she first put aside the bag her two brothers had taken clothes from inside, then rummaged through the other bags and found some food. She took it out and stuffed a White Rabbit milk candy into each of the two little ones' mouths.
Tie Dan and Da Y felt their little cousin stuff a candy into their mouths. Savoring the sweet taste, their faces, which had gained weight recently, broke into sweet smiles, their eyes crinkling with laughter. Tie Dan and Da Y felt that since their mother went home with their grandmother, their lives had been like falling into a paradise, even better than during the New Year. Therefore, they never asked Cai Shufen about it.
Liu Mingfeng and his group wanted to ensure that when the two children were old enough to ask about Cai Shufen later, they would realize that Cai Shufen had interfered. Therefore, they did not take action themselves. They only mentioned to some people that Cai Shufen had money and wanted to save their son. As for what happened after that, it was none of their business.
After speaking to Feng Mingyue, Wu Qiaoqiao carried her eldest son to her room. Once inside, she placed her eldest son on the kang (a heated brick bed), then turned and took her younger son from Lin Yuwei, placing him on the kang as well. She then spoke to Lin Yuwei.
"You'd better not carry them too much. Those two brats are really strong. You might accidentally hurt them."
Lin Yuwei smiled as she watched the two chubby babies, who had been placed on the kang (a heated brick bed) and were now constantly looking up at the bed like little turtles. She thought to herself, how could they possibly hurt her? After all, she was a martial artist, and it would be too embarrassing for her to be hurt so easily by babies.
Wu Qiaoqiao didn't say anything but turned around to go out and get the things. However, when she got to the main room, she saw Feng Mingyue leading Tiedan and Daya in with the things. Tiedan and Daya's mouths were moving, so it seemed that they were eating something. Sure enough, when Wu Qiaoqiao looked down, she saw that Tiedan and Daya were each carrying a small bag of food, which contained White Rabbit milk candy and some pastries.
When Feng Mingyue saw her cousin-in-law come out to take the things from her, she quickly walked a few steps and put all the things on the table in the main room, only handing the bag containing Liu Mingfeng and the other person's clothes to Wu Qiaoqiao.
"Sister-in-law, we're family, there's no need to be so polite. I brought these over right away. Oh, by the way, these two bags are for my brother and cousin to carry their change of clothes. Could you please take them inside so they don't get messed up if left outside?"
Wu Qiaoqiao took the things Feng Mingyue handed her, but instead of taking them inside, she placed them on the stool next to the table. When Wu Qiaoqiao saw Feng Mingyue's expression, she knew that Liu Mingfeng and the others probably hadn't had a chance to ask Feng Mingyue about dating yet.
"What's wrong? Look at you. Your brothers haven't even asked you yet. You started dating Kyoko without saying a word. Your second brother works with you every day and didn't even notice. Today you suddenly told your second brother, and he almost tripped and fell while he was at work."
Feng Mingyue rolled her eyes as she thought about her silly second brother. It was only because her second brother couldn't see it that she would have realized it long ago if her two sisters-in-law hadn't been spending much time with her because they were taking care of their children. Most people in the village already knew. Her uncle and aunt just assumed that her two sisters-in-law already knew, and since they weren't her parents, they didn't say much. It was only her second brother and Tan Jing who were always around him that he hadn't noticed.
However, thinking that her eldest brother would probably have to deal with her second brother after he finished dealing with her, she didn't care much about what happened next. Let him deal with her, she thought, since she had someone to accompany her, and her eldest brother might not even bother to deal with her.
When Wu Qiaoqiao saw Feng Mingyue's disgusted yet gloating expression when she mentioned her second brother, she knew what Feng Mingyue was thinking. Before she could say anything, two men walked in from outside. They were Feng Minghao and Liu Mingfeng, who had finished washing up in Zhao Xiuxiang's old house.
