Extra 1 Liu Xiangjun

A young man was walking along a tree-lined school path. He was handsome with sharp features, but the gold-rimmed glasses he wore made him appear gentle and refined.

The man was walking slowly along the tree-lined path when two female classmates approached him from the opposite direction. The two girls blushed slightly when they saw the young man and quickly walked up to him, stopping to greet him.

Hello, Senior Liu.

The "senior Liu" they were referring to, Liu Xiangjun, looked at the two shy and timid female classmates standing in front of him, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes hidden behind his glasses.

It was just because I was writing in my dorm room during my sophomore year and hadn't tidied up properly, that the group of guys in my dorm saw my pen name. One of them, in order to pursue his goddess, and just because his goddess was a fan of his books, used me as a bargaining chip to show off.

He had a girlfriend for this reason, and seeing that he had a good friend, the other guys in the dorm followed suit and flaunted their relationships. Whether they had girlfriends later is unknown, but during that time, Liu Xiangjun's desk and locker were filled with letters from girls, making the other guys in the dorm extremely envious.

However, Liu Xiangjun didn't let them off the hook either. During that period, he dealt with several people, who were even more envious than they were howling.

Since then, being stopped halfway through a walk has become a frequent occurrence. Liu Xiangjun could only respond coldly to them. Over time, everyone came to know Liu Xiangjun's character; they knew he wasn't the type to flirt with girls. Gradually, girls stopped approaching him on campus as soon as they saw him. Only occasionally would a bold girl try to strike up a conversation. Whenever this happened, Liu Xiangjun would respond with a distant attitude. This time was no different; after hearing their greetings, Liu Xiangjun replied with a cold and aloof voice.

"Hello, both of you junior students."

The two girls noticed that although Liu Xiangjun seemed distant, he hadn't turned away coldly. One of the girls, a bolder one, then asked...

"Senior, it's almost lunchtime. I heard that the No. 3 canteen is having sweet and sour pork today. Do you want to come along? The May Day holiday is in a couple of days. Do you have any plans?"

"No, thank you. I'm going to Professor Yin's house for lunch today. As for the May Day holiday, I've already made plans with my family. I'm bringing my girlfriend home to meet my parents this May Day."

After saying this, Liu Xiangjun politely stepped aside to let the two girls pass first. The two girls looked disappointed after hearing Liu Xiangjun's reply, but they did not linger. Instead, they politely said goodbye to Liu Xiangjun and walked on.

After the two girls passed by, Liu Xiangjun turned around and walked back the way they had come from, though he could still faintly hear their conversation.

"Senior Liu is really handsome and polite. Unlike some people who have achieved a little success, he acts like he has eyes on the top of his head and always looks down on others."

"Ha, you mean so-and-so in our class? But you're right. You know, back in our sophomore year, when we heard that Liu's pen name was mentioned by his roommates in order to pursue girls, everyone did a thorough investigation and found out how amazing Liu was."

"Yes, yes, she had essays included in anthologies in junior high school, and she even published prose in high school. But around the time of the college entrance exam, she was probably focused on preparing for the exam, which is why she didn't publish any new works. Yet she had a novel published while in college."

"Yes, but what good is talent if someone gets taken advantage of so early on?"

"Ah! I've been... taken advantage of?"

"It's like that good pig got eaten by a cabbage."

"Shouldn't it be the cabbage that gets eaten by the pig?"

"No, although I envy Professor Yin's daughter for having the advantage of being close to the water, I can't deny that she's also a good cabbage. Of course, it's the good pig that got eaten by the cabbage."

"You're so sarcastic, you have such a sharp tongue."

As for what the two said afterward, Liu Xiangjun had stopped hearing it as they walked further and further away. He only chuckled and shook his head when he heard this, then quickened his pace. When he reached the end of the path, he saw a slightly overweight middle-aged man walking slowly ahead of him with his hands behind his back. Upon seeing this, Liu Xiangjun started jogging until he reached the man's side, then stopped and called out to him.

"teacher"

Hearing Liu Xiangjun's shout, the man turned around and saw a smiling, baby-faced man. Yes, you read that right, a baby-faced man. Liu Xiangjun couldn't help but make a face when he saw his teacher's face. Can you imagine a middle-aged man having a baby face? Every time he saw his teacher's smiling face, Liu Xiangjun always felt a little bit of cuteness.

Back when he was a freshman, he learned from his elective courses that Professor Yin was nicknamed "Yin the Doll" by the mischievous students. He was a little confused at first, until he saw the teacher's smiling face in class for the first time and almost couldn't help but laugh. Luckily, he didn't laugh then. Later, he learned that although Professor Yin had a smiling face, he was ruthless and cruel. When it came to disciplining people, he didn't hold back.

After becoming Professor Yin's disciple and getting to know him better, I went to his home for dinner and asked his wife why she had ever been attracted to him. After all, his baby face made him look like a teenager in his youth. His wife laughed and said that back then they didn't eat much, and he was so thin, his face was practically skin and bones. Who would have guessed he would look like this now? It was only when he reached middle age and gained weight that she realized what kind of face he had. Now, his wife doesn't even want to go out with him anymore; every time they walk together, she looks much older.

Liu Xiangjun recalled the teacher's pitiful expression when his wife said those words, and a smile flickered in his eyes. Although that face looked somewhat out of place on a teacher, it would be quite cute on a girl. Liu Xiangjun thought of his girlfriend, and his expression softened even more.

Seeing Liu Xiangjun's expression, Professor Yin Changshou knew he was thinking about his daughter again. He snorted. He was quite satisfied with this prized student, but who knew that taking on a student would turn into taking on a wolf in sheep's clothing, causing his own little cabbage to be eaten by a pig. He couldn't help but say something indifferently.

"You're here. Since you're here, hurry up. Your master's wife is still waiting at home."

Upon hearing Yin Changshou's voice, Liu Xiangjun knew that he was dissatisfied with him again. He couldn't help but touch his nose and helplessly followed him towards the teachers' dormitory.
