A black Sri Lankan minivan drove onto the private road leading to the Lan Garden villa area. The area was sparsely populated and the road was clear. Jinbei was in the back seat, puffing out cigarettes. The scarlet red dot on the camera flashed, making it particularly conspicuous in the dimly lit car.
There's been too much going on in the underworld lately. Wang Jin's influence has extended beyond the West and East districts, and the fact that he controls the area has kept him up at night. He's so stressed that he's almost having a nervous breakdown. Only this strong cigar can make him feel a little better.
Leaning back in the chair, I closed my eyes and relaxed, enjoying a moment of comfort before drifting into a deep sleep.
As usual, driver Chen Song calmly gripped the steering wheel, thinking that he could go back and have a good meal after dropping off his boss; for some reason, tonight was a bit strange, this road seemed to have no end, and the ten-minute journey usually didn't feel so far.
Seeing that his boss was asleep in the rearview mirror, Chen Song slowed down, looked at his watch, and realized it was already past 10:10. They had returned at 9:30. If he remembered correctly, it was less than a 20-minute drive from his boss's house, but now 40 minutes had already passed!
Did he misread the time when he came out? Chen Song didn't think much of it. The road and streetlights ahead were familiar; he could drive there with his eyes closed.
The surroundings were quiet, with only their car driving by. Jinbei in the back had already started snoring, and the snoring dispelled some unknown fear.
Another ten minutes... ten minutes...
Half an hour later, Chen Song, covered in a cold sweat, slammed on the gas pedal!
The vehicle was jolting violently due to excessive speed, and Jinbei was jolted awake from her sleep!
"Chen Song, are you fucking crazy?!" Jin Bei was so excited to finally get a good night's sleep, but the driver's insane behavior made her want to kill him!
"Boss, it's not my fault! We ran into some kind of wall! I've been driving for an hour and we still haven't arrived at your house!!" Chen Song cried without daring to turn his head, his back already soaked with cold sweat, a chill creeping up from somewhere, making him shiver.
"An hour?!" Jinbei also realized something was wrong. The road outside was very familiar, but it was too familiar, so much so that his hair stood on end and he broke out in a sweat.
That lamppost with a touch of red paint was so conspicuous that he even paid special attention to it when he was bored. There were several lampposts with red paint along the route from the exit to the entrance.
There is only one answer!
"Song, Songzi, hurry up, step on the gas, don't stop!! Turn off the air conditioning, I'm freezing to death!!" Grabbing the handle of the back seat, Jinbei swallowed hard. Fear spread in the car. Both of them were shivering from the cold. It was September, and the night wind was warm.
"Boss, the air conditioning isn't on!!" Chen Song was almost losing control. He wanted to abandon the car and run away, but he didn't dare. If Boss Jin was left behind, he would definitely pull out something and kill him. Either way, he would die.
If Kimbe had a god's-eye view right now, he would see that his driver is constantly turning, turning, and moving forward on a winding road!
Two hours later, the fuel tank was empty!
The car lights went out! Inside the car, apart from heavy, rapid breathing, it was as quiet as if we had entered another dimension.
"Songzi, why did it stop? There's gas in the trunk, go fill it up, quick!!" Jinbei shrank into her seat, her terrified voice becoming shrill.
"Boss, we're out of gas~" came the smiling reply from the front seat.
"No oil? How could there be no oil? I didn't tell you to...you...you...ahh ...
Clang! Clang! Thump thump thump... Jinbei, noticing the change in sound, yelled and pulled on the door handle, pushing it outwards, but the car door was as if welded shut, not moving an inch.
During the frenzied kicking of the door...
*Snap!* The headlights suddenly turned on, casting a long shadow on the flowerbed at the corner. A thin layer of white mist drifted out from the corner, growing thicker and thicker until it gradually engulfed the road ahead and slowly moved toward the parking spot.
Jinbei stared ahead in terror, fear emanating from within!
I tried to close my eyes, but I couldn't, until a slender figure emerged from the mist and walked step by step toward the car lights.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh... Ghost aaaaaaaahh ...
"Jinbei, Jinbei..." Someone is calling him! Who is it?
It had been so long since anyone had called him by his full name that Jinbei almost didn't realize it was his name.
"Jinbei!" The girl's voice was still a little childish in the carriage.
Jinbei suddenly opened her eyes and found that the back seat light was on. Sweat soaked her back, making her feel cold to the bone.
He wondered if today was his death day.
"Who are you? Who are you?" He kept his head down, trying to curl up to feel safe. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Chen Song slumped over the steering wheel with his hands hanging down, unconscious. But there was something else in the passenger seat.
Jinbei wanted to faint again, hoping to remain unconscious until dawn, but the more he thought about it, the clearer his mind became.
"Every wrong has its perpetrator, every debt its debtor. Just tell me what you want, and I'll do whatever I can for you, even revenge." With her head down and hands waving, Jin Bei trembled like a leaf.
"Let Feng Sanshui manage this area of Tenth Street. If anyone gets involved, I'll come to you." The woman's voice came clearly from the passenger seat.
That sound~
Tenth Street?
Jinbei looked up in surprise. The person in the passenger seat was gone. Then, she turned her head and screamed, "Ahhhhhh..."
Yuan Zhuan: ...
"Shut up!"
"Shut up, I command!" Jinbei clenched her teeth, "You, who are you?"
"Me? You have no right to know." Yuan Zhuan sneered.
"I'm giving you 24 hours to hand over Tenth Street to Feng Sanshui. From now on, no one under your command is allowed to enter Tenth Street. I'll have something following you. If you don't obey orders, you'll bear the consequences." After saying this, Yuan Zhuan opened the car door and walked into the thick fog, disappearing in the blink of an eye, along with the fog.
Snap!
The headlights were turned off again, and the car was plunged back into darkness and silence.
When someone is so terrified that they can't even faint, they gradually accept and adapt to the fear.
Jinbei watched as the girl wearing a black mask disappeared into the mist. She couldn't tell if she was a person or a ghost, but at least one thing was certain: she wasn't an ordinary person.
Warlock! The word flashed into Jinbei's mind, and he suddenly understood what he had encountered today.
Such a bizarre thing, even if he went outside to tell people, no one would believe him unless they knew about this industry.
Tenth Street, Feng Sanshui! This is Feng Sanshui's conspiracy!! Where did this kid get to know such a terrifying person?
You want ten streets? Sure! He wanted to see if Feng Sanshui could handle it!
"Don't get any funny ideas! I'll be watching you until your lifespan is up." A voice suddenly came from beside me.
"Aaaaaahhhhhh..." Damn it, didn't he leave?
"I am the master's servant, hehehehehe..." A voice that sounded like a man and a woman echoed in her ears. Jinbei pushed the car door hard, and this time, it opened. Jinbei fell out of the car with a thud. Ignoring the pain, she got up and ran wildly towards home, but the laughter kept ringing in her ears, following her like a shadow.
"Didn't I promise you? Why are you still following me?" Jinbei said as she ran, but after a few steps she couldn't hold on any longer. She bent over, supporting herself on her knees, and started vomiting violently. She hadn't eaten dinner, and what she vomited was all stomach acid.
"My master said you're not honest, so he made me follow you."
