Chapter 21 Cao Ming Fainted

Fu Bo put the vegetables back in the shop, told the old man what was going on, and then came out. The reason he was so kind to help was because he was happy that the young girl was planning to rent a shop near their shop. Did this mean that the young girl would come to buy the cinnabar that his shop had replaced often in the future?

If Yuan Zhuan knew his thoughts, she would tell him he was right, and that if there were any discarded cinnabar, she would definitely buy it.

The reason those cinnabars were washed away was because the special beast blood within them had almost lost its potency.

However, it didn't have much of an impact on her.

"Little sister, what are you going to do with all that cinnabar you bought?" Fu Bo asked, trying to make conversation as he led Yuan Zhuan toward the landlord's house.

Sometimes, fate is a wonderful thing. This shop belongs to his friend Cao Ming. That kid does nothing productive all day long. He's either lying at home sleeping in or indulging in debauchery. So, at this hour, if he just shows up at his house, he's sure to catch him.

Cao Ming never imagined that his nightmare would reappear, and so quickly!

When he heard someone calling his name outside the gate, a bunch of his cronies' faces flashed through his mind—none of them were this polite.

He got up groggily, rinsed his mouth with the tea from the bedside table, and then went out.

"Mingzi, someone wants to rent your shop." As soon as the door opened, Fu Bo saw someone's bewildered face and smiled, knowing exactly what was going on.

"Ah, it's Brother Bo. Come in, um, I..." Seeing that it was an acquaintance, Cao Ming yawned and prepared to step aside to let him in, but who knew...

"Oh my god!!!"

As soon as Yuan Zhuan's face appeared behind Fu Bo, Cao Ming's dazed eyes widened instantly, and he screamed as he rushed into the house.

Mommy! There's a ghost! I saw a ghost in broad daylight! Aaaaaaah!

The above was Cao Ming's inner voice, and also his screams and howls. Because of fear, his legs were so weak that he could not exert any strength. He staggered a few steps and almost fell. He tumbled and crawled into the yard and disappeared around the corner.

Yuan Zhuan: ...

Fu Bo: ...Stunned

What happened? Why did it happen? What's wrong with Mingzi?

Recalling something, Yuan Zhuan narrowed his eyes. "Boss Fu, I may have met him once. Please wait outside for a while. We have a misunderstanding that we need to clear up."

A destined person~ This kid actually has a glow of merit on him.

Yuan Zhuan suppressed the excitement in his eyes and quickened his pace to go inside after Fu Bo nodded.

The understated yet luxurious Chinese-style decor made Yuan Zhuan even happier; her destined partner was wealthy, which was a good thing.

I knocked on the wooden door carved with mascots, and sure enough, it was locked from the inside; there wasn't a sound.

hehe……

They really don't have much guts.

Gathering energy at the tip of his index finger and gently undulating it in the air, the wooden door, which looked like a mere decoration, opened smoothly.

Cao Ming, who was hiding under the covers, was still reviewing what had just happened when the door latch suddenly twitched. Startled, he yanked his head out from under the covers and saw the most terrifying scene of his life: a tiny white paper figure, about the size of a thumb, pushed open his wooden latch with its paper hand...

"Aa ...

When Yuan Zhuan opened the door, he saw Cao Ming, who had fainted from fright, lying pale-faced by the bed.

Forehead……

"You scared him." Even the system couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up to remind him.

Yuan Zhuan: ...

She just wanted to show off her skills... In the past, when she went out on business with her father, some people doubted her age and thought she was unreliable. She would use small paper figures to prove her abilities. Although it was often frightening, she never fainted.

"He was scared. Very scared." The system's description was quite accurate.

Well, Yuan Zhuan has to admit that he might have made a foolish move today.

Hearing the screams outside, Fu Bo was shocked and thought something had happened. He rushed in and saw Cao Ming unconscious and Yuan Zhuan looking embarrassed.

"Um, boss, when he wakes up, talk to him and tell him that I have some Yin-Yang skills and am not some evil ghost, so he can rest assured to rent the house to me. Okay, I'm leaving now, hehe..." Yuan Zhuan said a long string of words, and before Fu Bo could react, he ran away as if chased by a ghost, not forgetting to close the gate to the outer courtyard.

What does that mean? A bewildered Fu Bo looked in the direction Yuan Zhuan had disappeared, then turned to look at Cao Ming. Yin-Yang Kung Fu flashed through his mind... Yin-Yang Kung Fu! Ah!! Yin-Yang Kung Fu?!

So, that little girl was a sorcerer? A Taoist priest?

His heart pounded with excitement, making him want to chase after Cao Ming and get to the bottom of things, but seeing the unconscious Cao Ming, he dared not move.

Human life is at stake; what if something happens?

Perhaps due to excessive stimulation, Cao Ming woke up in the hospital and let out another shrill scream, startling the nurse who was preparing the medication next to him so much that she almost dropped the medicine on the ground.

"Mingzi, there's something I need to tell you, but it's a long story."

A few minutes later, Cao Ming stared blankly out the window, lost in thought, but the fear on his face had faded.

In his memory, the figure in the darkness that had haunted his nightmares for three days suddenly transformed into the little paper figure that pushed open the door latch.

So, it's not that he's crazy, but rather, there really are feng shui masters?

When Yuan Zhuan returned home, Zhao Ma had already prepared dinner. As for the little guy, Liu Ma had taken him out to play.

In order to improve her child's health, Zhao's mother didn't think about being too frugal. Once a child's health is ruined, it can't be restored overnight. So, even if there are many other things that will cost more money in the future, they should eat well now.

Several plates of meat and vegetables were served, and Yuan Zhu and Liu Da couldn't take their eyes off them.

"Little glutton, Bamboo, hurry up and set the table." Aunt Zhao smiled and tugged at the little tuft of hair on Yuan Zhu's forehead.

"Aunt Zhao, I'll go too."

As the two little ones happily went to the kitchen to get bowls and chopsticks, Yuan Zhuan came out after washing his hands.

"Mom, I found a shop today. The location is pretty good, in the east of the city, where there's a lot of foot traffic. I think it's a good fit. Shall we go check it out together this afternoon?"

"Okay." Aunt Zhao glanced at Yuan Zhuan, hesitated for a moment, and then responded.

"Mom? Just say what you want to say. I'm your daughter." She seemed to have something to say, but also looked hesitant, which Yuan Zhuan could tell at a glance.

Once her soul has been swapped, there's nothing she can do. Even if she knows the art of separating souls, the original soul in her body can't return; it's already gone to the King of Hell.

"Zhuanzhuan, that's not what Mom meant. It's just that, although we have some money now, we'll still have many expenses in the future. Let me explain. We've just arrived here, and we don't yet know what the locals like to eat. If they don't like the food we sell, and business is bad, we'll have to pay for the rent. So, I think we should rent a stall first and see how it goes. If it does well, then we can rent a shop. We can take it one step at a time. Nobody can get rich overnight, right?"

After listening to Zhao Ma's analysis, Yuan Zhuan nodded, "Okay, then Mom will do as you think." As for the shop, he would find a way to earn money to rent it himself.

After all, she always buys supplies in large quantities, which needs to be concealed.
