Chapter 4 Corpse Core

This won't do. You have to know that even the smallest mistake in battle could cost you your life.

After doing a set of push-ups, sit-ups and squats, Jiang Feng was surprised that his body was only slightly warm.

You have to remember that one set of exercise was Jiang Feng's usual volume: 30 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 40 squats. In the past, after just one set, he'd be sweating all over, but now he was just warming up. So he did three more sets, and the sweat started to break.

It seems that the physical fitness should have improved by about half, Jiang Feng calculated silently in his mind.

If an adult man can exert a force of 50 kilograms, then I should have 75 kilograms now.

Physical fitness is not a simple matter of one plus one equals two. An exponential improvement can sometimes produce ten times the effect of the original.

He continued with several more exercises until he reached his physical limit. He then stopped and found some paper to practice folding paper airplanes to control his strength.

After doing all this, Jiang Feng began to sleep.

Jiang Feng woke up early the next morning. After washing his face, he found that his complexion looked much better and healthier than yesterday.

When I walked into the living room, I saw that the two corpses from yesterday had been eaten to the point that only white bones were left. The culprit, the turtle, had grown from the size of two palms to the size of a washbasin, and was now sleeping with its head tucked into its shell.

"Damn, even a pig wouldn't be so exaggerated, right?" Jiang Feng was stunned by the scene before him.

However, he still took out a broom and swept all the bones on the ground into a snakeskin bag. After all, the sight of human bones in the living room was creepy.

Then he cooked something to eat and started to think about how to clean out the zombies in the building.

It’s definitely not possible to go down directly. God knows how many of these ghost things there are. We still have to consider how to set up a favorable terrain and deal with them one by one.

Finally, it was decided to set up obstacles at the corner of the stairwell and then use sound to attract the zombies.

After putting on the homemade armor he made yesterday, he walked quietly to the back of the door and observed carefully. Not finding any movement, he opened the door and walked out.

I stuck my head out from the stair railing and looked at the two houses downstairs. I found that both doors were tightly closed. I remembered that someone lived in the house downstairs from me, but no one lived in the other one.

Come to think of it, it's impossible that all the houses have their doors wide open, waiting for you to take them.

However, this made it easier to implement his plan. He quietly found a few empty plastic bottles across the street, filled them with water, then slowly walked downstairs and placed them in a row at the bottom of the stairs.

This thing can serve as an early warning. Whenever a zombie passes by, it will be knocked over and make a sound. This way, you won't be attacked inexplicably while moving things.

After putting it away, Jiang Feng went back to move things to block the aisle. He placed a refrigerator in the corner of the staircase, and filled the rest of the space with furniture, leaving only a 20-centimeter gap. He also placed a chair horizontally on the ground to see if it could trip up the zombies.

After finishing, he rested for a few minutes, then used the shovel to gently knock on the iron handrails and railings. If any zombies heard the noise, they would definitely follow the sound and come up.

"Bang bang"

Sure enough, not long after, I heard some noise coming from downstairs.

“Huh, here it comes!”

After only six or seven seconds, Jiang Feng saw three staggering figures climbing up, and one of them even tripped over a bottle he had placed there.

There were three zombies, two men and one woman. The woman seemed to be the landlady who lived in the small villa on the first floor. She somehow got up here.

The three zombies became even more excited when they saw Jiang Feng, or smelled the scent of living people, and roared at him. Although Jiang Feng was still a little nervous, he did not move, holding the shovel and waiting for the zombies to squeeze over.

"Cack, clack" As the zombies moved, the obstacles formed by the furniture made an unpleasant sound.

"Gu" As the zombies got closer, Jiang Feng couldn't help swallowing his saliva.

"Hey" Seeing the zombies about to squeeze in front of him, Jiang Feng decisively raised the shovel in his hand and smashed it down hard.

"Boom"

After hitting him once, he didn't hold back and hit him on the head again, causing it to burst.

He took a step back, and the zombies in front of him were squeezed to the ground by the zombies behind him.

The second one was the female zombie, but Jiang Feng still smashed her hard until her brain exploded.

"Damn! When did another one appear?!"

When Jiang Feng thought he was about to finish his work, he looked up and saw that there was another one.

"call"

But it’s impossible to think of anything else now. The brave one wins when two meet on a narrow road!

Jiang Feng's eyes were red as he desperately smashed the zombie's head in front of him.

Two minutes later, all four zombies were knocked over and filled the gap left by Jiang Feng.

“Huh, huh.”

After resting for a while, Jiang Feng saw that no more zombies were coming, and he felt much calmer.

Looking at the deformed shovel in his hand, Jiang Feng felt a little depressed. If he had been given an axe, it would have been much easier.

After resting for half an hour, Jiang Feng felt relieved when he found that no zombies came again. It seemed that there were only so many zombies in the corridor.

So he turned around and went back to get a knife, and woke up the sleeping turtle so that it could eat the zombies.

Now Jiang Feng completely treats this turtle as a trash can and a guinea pig for testing poisons, and he can use it in any way he wants.

I was thinking, how cool would it be if I could grow into one of those giant turtles in TV dramas that can carry people? It would be a land vehicle that doesn't consume a lot of gas! Maybe I could even use it as a boat!
