Chapter 8: Hunting Zombies

After putting it away, Jiang Feng didn't care about it anymore. After throwing the body down, he went back directly. After all, it was too thrilling just now, and Jiang Feng felt very tired.

Fortunately, the harvest was good. The three corpse cores were about twice as large as before, and there was also a crystal core whose use was unknown.

As a result, just when Jiang Feng went down to the yard, the turtle crawled over.

"Yes, yes, eat! Eat!"

A strong desire was transmitted from the turtle to Jiang Feng, which made Jiang Feng feel strange.

"What to eat? Could it be this thing?" Jiang Feng looked at the crystal core in his hand and shook it at the turtle. As a result, the turtle's two small eyes were immediately attracted to it.

"What's the use of this thing?" Jiang Feng looked at Wang Ba and asked puzzledly.

But it was obvious that this thing only ate and slept, and it was impossible to explain it clearly. In the end, Jiang Feng gave it the crystal core. After all, the poison wouldn't kill it, so he might as well see what effect it would have on it.

It ate it without hesitation, and after a while it didn't seem to react at all, and even lay there and fell asleep.

"Forget it, it shouldn't be a big deal." Jiang Feng looked at it for a while and then ignored it and went upstairs directly.

After arriving home and taking off his equipment, he discovered that he was covered in wounds. That zombie dog was much more difficult to deal with than ordinary zombies.

"I shouldn't be infected, right?" he consoled himself as he cleaned the wound with white wine. Over the past few days, he'd observed two types of zombie bites: one type was eaten immediately, and the other type transformed into a zombie shortly after being bitten. He'd even eaten the core, so he shouldn't be afraid of the virus.

After cleaning the wound, Jiang Feng took out a corpse core, washed it clean and swallowed it directly. It wouldn't take long for the injury to heal.

Lying on the bed, Jiang Feng began to organize various information in his mind.

Jiang Fengjue guessed that one possibility was that they had already produced antibodies, so they could not be infected and could only be eaten up; the second possibility was that they had no antibodies and could be infected.

Jiang Feng couldn't figure out the specific reason right now, but he was just comforting himself.

There were many questions, but what was the point? For example, how did the virus spread? Jiang Feng guessed it was through air, water, saliva, blood, and so on. However, he had already survived for so long by eating and drinking the same food and water as before.

Fortunately, the wound was still bright red, which made Jiang Feng feel relieved.

It's getting late now, so you might as well start cooking. After using up the remaining corpse cores, you should be able to increase your physical fitness by more than four times.

One afternoon, Jiang Feng started exercising frantically again. When he was exhausted, he ate a corpse core. By the evening, his physical fitness had successfully reached four times that of his previous strength.

After reaching four times the physical fitness, Jiang Feng felt that his strength, speed, endurance and recovery ability had been greatly improved.

"Bang" Jiang Feng was very happy when he smashed the sandbag he made with a punch. The pleasure brought by the strength was incomparable!

"Tomorrow, continue hunting zombies tomorrow!" Jiang Feng was a little excited. Although each upgrade now consumes more and more corpse cores, it is all worth it.

Nothing happened that night, and Jiang Feng got up early the next day to get ready.

By the time it was bright, Jiang Feng had already finished his breakfast, put on his equipment, and was ready to set off.

It’s better to stand on the wall and observe the situation first. After the zombies in the yard discovered Jiang Feng yesterday, they all crowded under the wall and stretched out their claws as if to catch him.

However, Jiang Feng didn't have time to care about them now. Although his strength had improved, he was not arrogant enough to jump in and kill them all.

Behind the yard is a group of old bungalows, but there probably aren't many people living there now.

Jiang Feng walked along the wall and jumped onto the two-story roof. Then he observed the movements around him on the roof, looking for lone zombies.

The more Jiang Feng observed the terrain of this area, the more satisfied he became. The houses were not high, and with his current strength, he could easily jump up. The intricate corridors could disperse the zombies.

"Tsk tsk, what a natural hunting ground!"

Seeing a zombie wandering in front of a house, Jiang Feng looked around and made sure it was clear before jumping down. He swung the steel chisel in his hand and hit it directly on the zombie's head.

"Puff"

Red and white were splattered all over the ground. After finding the corpse core inside, Jiang Feng turned around and left, looking for his next target.

However, what Jiang Feng didn't know was that after he left, whispering sounds were heard in the house.

"What happened? Why did that zombie die?"

"It seems like someone did it, but he's gone now."

"Should we follow?"

"If you want to go, go ahead. If you want to die, don't call me~"

“…”

Jiang Feng's hunting continued. At first, he only targeted single zombies, but later he would hunt two, three, and four. He used favorable terrain and fishing to attract monsters with great skill.
