Chapter 251 Three Knight Monsters

Far away in Wilren.

In the ruins of the building, in a dilapidated and secluded factory, a blonde, blue-eyed woman puts down a man covered in wounds.

"Your complete liberation came too suddenly. There's no rush to eliminate those people." Ishtar's words carried a hint of reproach. "If it weren't for me, who would clean up the mess for you?"

"That's why Shi Yin didn't kick you out when we were on vacation, even though you were completely useless." Helmod chuckled, "You're the one she left me."

At this moment, Helmod's body looked like a broken machine, with blood flowing from the open wounds and crackling electric currents, making him look extremely gruesome.

However, he looked very energetic. The advantage of modifying himself mechanically is that even if he is seriously injured, he will not really lose his fighting ability.

"Don't mythologize her too much; it might just be a coincidence." Ishtar pursed her lips, flicked her right hand to produce a key, and inserted it into thin air: "Dragon of Light."

“I suppose you didn’t go all in and transform yourself into a fully mechanical machine?” Ishtar asked.

"Of course, in the combination of humans and machines, I have retained the main human functions." Helmod shrugged. "In this life, I dare not transform myself into a fully mechanical being. My apprentice was intercepted by Shiyin. If I suddenly die, you may not be able to help me create a new mechanical body to restore my consciousness."

Within the intersecting platinum and gold magic circle, a small dragon, about half the size of a human, emerged. Unlike the hard scales of other dragons, its scales resembled soft feathers.

The light dragon flew up and landed on Helmod's shoulder. A shimmering light overflowed from its body and covered the cracks on Helmod's body. After only a few breaths, the red light flashing on the warning device on Helmod's body stopped.

“What do we do now? We’ve lost contact with Toki.” Ishtar found a place to sit down. “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have suddenly appeared; they’re besieging us.”

The giant gate's clone appeared suddenly, its aura concealed too well. It was itself the most adept at hiding itself among the devouring monsters in the disaster. By the time they discovered it, it was already within arm's reach.

Helmod reacted the fastest. By now, it was absolutely impossible to control his power to 30%, so he simply used Power Release to blast the giant gate's clone into dust.

However, the next moment, three powerful energy fluctuations rushed towards them at high speed, as if they had been lying in ambush. Ishtar sacrificed a spatial dragon to forcibly teleport the two of them to a distance.

Ishtar then sent out three scout dragons to investigate what those three forces were, and they saw three knights. Ishtar recognized them all too well; they were the remaining three Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Why did it happen so quickly?

"This means that the mastermind behind the scenes, like us, has someone who is not simple." Helmod was almost fully repaired and his body could move again, so he began to manipulate the Hand of Gods and Demons to repair his body.

"You mean the appearance of the Giant Gate and the appearance of the Apocalypse Knights weren't part of the same plan?" Ishtar pondered. "That makes sense. They couldn't possibly be that impatient."

In many past lives, when these great calamities occurred, they were already in their complete form, and once they appeared, half of the country would fall.

But for some reason, they all seemed to be in a great hurry in this life. The three Apocalypse Knights were clearly not ready either, and were probably not much different from half-finished products.

The three scout dragons that Ishtar sent out were prepared to sacrifice themselves, but they were not discovered. Normally, a knight could have wiped out the three scout dragons with just a glance.

“It must be that the underlings of those behind the scenes couldn’t wait any longer.” Helmod took a deep breath. “If it were me, I would do the same. Since the underlings have already acted on their own, not helping them would only result in a needless loss of combat power.”

"Since that's the case, why not just make a big fuss about these things? After all, it has both advantages and disadvantages for both sides. Although they are all in the semi-finished stage and not yet at their peak, we humans are also only in the initial stage."

"Even so, isn't it going too far to make me swallow three Apocalypse Knights all by myself?" Ishtar said, somewhat irritated. "Shouldn't this be a task for all five of us to complete together?"

The original plan was that the four of them would fight 1-2 people, and the rest would go to Shi Yin. How come now they're all going to be given to her alone?

“No, it’s the two of us,” Helmod corrected.

"Are you kidding me? In your current state?" Ishtar retorted, "Even if you were to undergo another full release, you wouldn't be able to withstand it."

“That was definitely too much, but I can turn down my power a bit,” Helmod said. “I’m a special case.”

While the others fully unleash their powers, focusing on their own abilities, Helmod is unique. His own Hand of Gods and Demons has no offensive power; the real offensive power comes from the heavy cannons that Helmod has modified on his body.

Helmud's complete liberation was achieved when the Hand of Gods and Demons maximized the power of his mechs and heavy artillery, pushing his mechanical capabilities to their limits.

But in essence, the limit of the equipment on his body is the limit of complete liberation; Helmod can completely downgrade his body and weapons.

After all, what Helmod found most unbearable was not the price brought to him by the Hand of Gods and Demons, but the damage to himself caused by the reaction force of the weapons on his body.

“Alright, if we can’t get in touch with Shiyin, then it’s just the two of us going crazy.” Ishtar stood up from the ground: “I can’t let them ruin my little garden.”

“Who knows if it’s within her calculations?” Helmod also stood up, and the Hand of God began to modify his body.

This time, however, it's not an addition, but a removal.

"If this was also within Shi Yin's calculations, it would be too cruel to you. You've been loyal to him for so long." Ishtar snorted. "After this, who knows how long it will take for your power to reach its peak? The entire Wilren will be in danger at any time."

Helmod smiled but didn't say anything.

"Those two guys probably won't make it in time. I hope my little dragons can live up to expectations." Ishtar conjured a staff, and various dragons, each more than half a person's height, began to appear around him.

On the border of Welren, three knights were moving slowly, but they couldn't see any living people in the distance, which made the weather knights a little confused.

They were more like knights than knight-like zombies, riding three horses of different colors: white, black, and green. The horses looked much like normal horses, except that their eye sockets were black holes, and they had no eyeballs.

They were so tall, each knight as tall as a twenty-story building, inspiring fear and dread. Riding on their towering horses, they seemed to mock the insignificance of humankind.
