The man looked back as he was being propelled toward the school gate by the thrusters.
He thought he had escaped the pursuit, after all, the thrusters on his body were too fast, even many speed-type ability users couldn't match him, it was their most advanced equipment.
But he was wrong.
When he looked back, he had completely disappeared.
The man was a little confused. Where did that strange woman go?
Before he could finish thinking, he was struck hard on the back of the head, causing him to fall face-first to the ground.
"Where do you think you're going? Did I say you could leave?" Shi Yin rubbed her reddened palms, looked at the cracked earth, and wondered if she had used too much force.
This man clearly looked like a foreigner; his features were sharp and defined, giving him a distinctly exotic look. He was obviously not from Yanlong Kingdom.
Especially his high, straight nose, which is now in close contact with the ground, probably isn't in good condition.
"Ah... my God..." the man groaned, covering his nose.
His nose was crooked, and the bridge of his nose was obviously broken very badly. His face was covered in blood, which looked a bit disgusting.
"You still have the right to call yourself God?" The man's words only made things worse, and Shi Yin slapped him again: "Even God would slap you twice if he heard you like that."
Didn't you already give it to me?
The man lay on the ground, unable to get up for a long time; he was dizzy from the two slaps.
"Let me see what you've brought this time, newcomer." Shi Yin squatted on the ground and expertly turned the person over, peeling off the layers of clothing like peeling an onion.
Metal armor, outer jacket, inner lining, bulletproof vest, anti-psychic armor, shirt...
This guy has an amazing sense of style.
Finally, Shi Yin tore off a metal identification card from the innermost lining of her clothes.
The New World: Andrei.
Level: F.
That's low; no wonder he's a scapegoat.
"Hey, after repeating it so many times, your name is still so unoriginal." Shi Yin held the small metal plaque in her hand, somewhat speechless: "The country you've secretly established is called New World, isn't that a bit perfunctory?"
Shi Yin squatted down and continued to grope the man's body. This man named Andrei was quite well-equipped, with state-of-the-art metal devices installed on every joint and vital part of his body, both for protection and attack.
It's a pity that before it could even be used, it was slapped so hard it was completely disoriented.
"Let me see the thrusters, navigator, bombs, protective suits... wait, what kind of compass are you using here?" Shi Yin muttered under her breath as she rummaged through the items. "Don't you know that Yanlong Kingdom has some kind of terrible map that can be used for navigation?"
Sometimes it really is a bit unethical, but you have to get used to it. People lead you down some strange and weird paths.
"Oh my, look what I found! I knew it! Each of you carries something different on you." Shi Yin's eyes lit up, and she picked up a small green bottle with satisfaction, bringing it to her nose to smell it.
The scent is very refreshing, unlike the pungent fragrance of perfume or essential oils. It's a light scent, and Shi Yin can clearly feel it. This potion effectively masks human odor very well.
"It smells like Chinese medicine, but the effect doesn't last very long. I'll have Helmod improve it later." Shi Yin was very satisfied with her haul: "Hmm? What's this?"
Shi Yin then found a red syringe.
When Shi Yin placed her hand here, intending to remove the red syringe, Andrei, who was lying on the ground, violently resisted. He instinctively protected his waist and tried to curl up. Shi Yin immediately realized that he wanted to destroy the syringe.
"Lie still, did you say you could move?" Shi Yin slapped Andre across the face as he turned to the side.
Andrei lay on the ground, furious but unable to utter a word. He never expected that his first mission since being given a new role would involve such a troublesome monster.
He hadn't done anything yet, hadn't caused any harm to the woman in front of him, when he got slapped twice on the back of the head and his nose was ruined. And now she was slapping his face again!
Shi Yin shook the syringe, carefully squeezed out two drops, put the medicine on her hand and put it in her mouth, and then carefully put the rest of the syringe into her personal space.
When Andrei saw Shi Yin's action, his eyes lit up and excitement flashed in them. He didn't expect Shi Yin to be so bold as to grab the potion and put it in her mouth. This was a deadly poison!
I was wondering what to do, but now it's like someone's just handed me a pillow when I'm sleepy—I'm courting disaster.
One second, two seconds, three seconds...
The scene that Andrei had envisioned—Shiyin clutching her neck, her face ashen, foaming at the mouth, convulsing uncontrollably, and dying suddenly—did not occur.
Shi Yin's expression remained normal; in fact, she smacked her lips as if she had just drunk juice.
"It's a bit bitter, and the pheromones are so chaotic. It feels like a high-level zombie." Shi Yin carefully sensed the energy in the potion: "No wonder that manipulator listened to you so much. You used this potion to change your own aura, giving it the illusion that it needed to obey your commands."
Andrei's face changed completely. He was already fair-skinned, but after hearing Shi Yin's description, his face turned ashen. He never expected that what they were so proud of would be exposed by Shi Yin in just a few words.
"What a new thing, though it's not very useful." Shi Yin shook her head regretfully. This thing is only useful in the early stages.
Judging from the small amount she had just tasted, the potion had significant side effects, but it could only affect low-level zombies below the level of manipulators. At best, it could reduce casualties in some areas and make some zombies gather together, making them easier to clear out.
This medicine cannot be used in the middle stage; using it will not only be of little use, but will also make you a target.
More advanced zombies have a strong sense of territory and danger. Once you have similar pheromones, they will regard you as an enemy, which is to say, you will become a thorn in the side of your enemy.
Never mind, I'll keep it.
Shi Yin carefully put the medicine away.
She's not a professional, after all. These kinds of professional things should be done by professionals. Maybe she can give Helmod some inspiration and make him come up with something unexpected.
"As for you," Shi Yin squatted down and pressed down on the head of the man named Andrei, "we're so familiar with each other, I suppose you wouldn't mind if I looked at your memories."
Andrei: "?"
How exactly are we familiar with each other?
And if I say I mind, will you listen?
Andrei struggled desperately. These people not only wholeheartedly submitted to the New World, but also had a series of incriminating evidence against those people in the New World. How could they possibly obediently let Shion read their memories as she pleased?
Andrei strained his muscles to reach a button on his waist. Even if he were to perish together with his opponent, he could not possibly reveal even a single secret of the new world.
But as soon as he raised his hand an inch, before he could even press down, he felt a sharp pain in his wrist.
His two hands were cleanly severed, forming a smooth and flat cross-section along with the bone and flesh, as if Shion's katana had not cut a person's arm, but a piece of paper.
Andrei opened his mouth, but could only utter some painful syllables.
He was in so much pain that he lost his voice, his mind went blank, and he was even starting to feel disoriented.
"Hmm, that's a good boy. It seems you don't mind anymore." Shi Yin smiled and patted Andre's head, but the smile looked a little strange.
“This is what a good child is like.”
