Chapter 346 Meeting Aunt Wu

After Su Keke parked the RV by the creek, she took Tangyuan to catch fish in the creek.

Tangyuan found a new place to play, and excitedly splashed its fat furry paws in the stream.

Su Keke looked at the clear stream in front of her with sparkling eyes. She lowered her head and stared at the surface of the stream with great concentration, gently removing the large stone at the bottom of the stream.

Suddenly, a tiny fish emerged from the bottom of the big rock. "Meow..." Tangyuan meowed domineeringly, then reached out with his fat paw, picked up the little fish and put it into his mouth.

Tangyuan held the fish in his mouth and ran back to the living room of the RV like a gust of wind.

Grandma Qiao, who was steaming corn in the kitchen, heard the noise and ran out to see Tangyuan happily nibbling on a small fish in the cat food bowl.

"Tangyuan is really particular! You have to put a piece of fish in the same bowl as cat food before eating it."

Grandma Qiao poked her head out of the RV and said to Su Keke who was playing in the water by the creek.

"Is Tangyuan so particular? I thought it ran off to play in the bushes somewhere!"

Su Keke shook off the stream water on her hands and sat on a chair outside the RV.

Just then, a few people on the other side of the road were talking and laughing as they walked towards the stream.

Su Keke looked up and saw that one of them seemed to be Aunt Wu from the grassland. She was holding a wooden bucket in her hand and must have come to wash clothes.

"Hey! Look! There seems to be someone by the stream!"

A young wife had good eyesight and saw Su Keke's RV parked by the stream from a distance.

"Hey! There really is someone here! Is that a car behind her? Come on! Go over and take a look! It's really rare to see such a big car here!"

"I heard that the roads were closed due to the earthquake. How come there are still cars coming to our remote place?"

The two women, who were usually rather gossipy, could not wait to walk towards the stream.

Aunt Wu and the young wife were not so enthusiastic. They just smiled and followed slowly from behind.

On Su Keke's side, Grandma Qiao had already brought out a plate of corn and a plate of red bean paste buns. The two of them sat face to face and prepared to have breakfast.

Tangyuan finished eating his fish in the RV. When he smelled the fragrance of corn, he ran to sit on Su Keke's lap.

It knew that Su Keke would break off some for it every time she ate corn.

"Coco! Someone is coming over there!" At this time, Grandma Qiao also saw someone walking towards them.

"It's okay! I saw Aunt Wu! She must be coming to the creek to wash clothes."

Su Keke took a corn and said casually.

"Meow meow..." Tangyuan stared at the corn in Su Keke's hand with expectant eyes. Seeing that Su Keke didn't react, one of his fat paws directly grabbed the corn in Su Keke's hand.

"Oh my! We just ate the little fish with our glutinous rice balls, how come we are hungry again? OK, OK? I'll give it to you first!"

Su Keke touched Tangyuan's head and quickly broke off a lot of corn kernels for it to eat first.

"Ah na...ah um..." Tangyuan buried his face in the table and made happy chewing sounds when he was eating happily.

"Oh! It's really Aunt Wu!" Grandma Qiao smiled and narrowed her eyes, finding Aunt Wu among the rural women opposite.

Within a few minutes, several women from the grassland came to the stream opposite Su Keke and Grandma Qiao.

Aunt Wu was the first to notice that the two people opposite seemed to be someone she knew.

"Xiao Su! Sister Qiao! It's really you two! From a distance I saw it looked like you!"

Aunt Wu put down the wooden barrel in her hand and waved excitedly towards the opposite side.

The stream was no more than two metres wide, so it could be said that they were actually quite close.

"Aunt Wu! Are you here to wash clothes?" Su Keke smiled at her and asked, looking at the wooden barrel beside her.

"Yes, yes! Washing clothes! We use the water from this stream for drinking and washing clothes! Why are you here?" Aunt Wu continued to ask Su Keke and Grandma Qiao with a smile on her face.

"Aunt Wu, who are these two people? Do you know them?"

"Oh! I seem to remember! These two people came to Aunt Wu's house before. At that time, Aunt Wu said they were just passing by! I said it was not as simple as just passing by!"

"They are all good people. They gave us some rice and flour when they saw us, an orphan and a widow. Go do what you need to do and stop talking about them."

Aunt Wu said to the two gossipy women beside her.

"What! You can't even talk about it! Ha! It's like no one wants to talk about it!"

The two women were a little unhappy with what Aunt Wu said, so they picked up their own buckets and went to the creek to draw water.

After fetching water, he snorted at Aunt Wu and went back with an unhappy look on his face.

Su Keke stood up from the chair with a corn in her hand. She ate it while walking to the stream to talk to Aunt Wu.

"We! We can live wherever we go. The whole world is our home. This place is beautiful. Grandma Qiao and I plan to stay here for a few days."

"That's great! Come to my house for lunch later! The two kids are always talking about you!"

Aunt Wu looked at Su Keke and Grandma Qiao and said with a smile.

Grandma Qiao picked up Tangyuan and came over to the stream to say hello to Aunt Wu.

"Big sister! Last time I went to your house for a free meal. This time, bring your two children over to play. Our Tangyuan likes to play with little sisters the most."

"Wow! This cat is so cute! It's white and plump, and doesn't look like a local cat at all!"

The young wife who came to wash clothes with Aunt Wu hadn't said anything before. Su Keke saw that she just lowered her head and kept hitting the clothes on the stone with a wooden board.

But when she saw the dumplings that Grandma Qiao brought over, her eyes suddenly lit up. Su Keke saw that she must be a cat lover as well.

"Tangyuan! Say hello to the aunt and auntie across the street!"

Su Keke touched Tangyuan's head, broke off a lot of corn kernels and gave them to it.

“Meow… meow…”

Tangyuan called out softly to the two people across the stream, then buried his head in Su Keke's hand and happily began to eat corn kernels.

"This cat is really human-like. My two children will definitely like it!" Aunt Wu said with a smile.

"Don't mention the children, I like it too! But now people can't even get enough to eat, so how can we afford to feed cats? Alas!"

The young wife next to me used to love cats. She once had a tabby cat, which froze to death in extreme cold weather. Now when she sees the glutinous rice balls, she feels particularly close to them.

After Aunt Wu and the young wife finished washing the clothes, Su Keke and Grandma Qiao said that there was a dehydrator in the RV, and they could take their clothes and dehydrate them so they would dry faster.

Aunt Wu and her young wife had never used a dehydrator before, and they were curious, so they rolled up their pants and waded across the stream to Su Keke's RV.

"Wow! The interior of this car really looks like a house! This is the first time I've seen a car like this!"

"Who says it's not true? This is the first time I've seen such a luxurious car. Living in it is more comfortable than living in a house!"

Aunt Wu and the young wife looked around with sparkling eyes. They really couldn't imagine that there could be a big house in the car!
