Chapter 9 Moving
Yin Shan said, "Our current house is uninhabitable. We're selling them all at low prices. We need full payment and we're moving. I bought the top floor of Runyuan, which was renovated by the previous owner. There are only three of us on that floor. I calculated the remaining funds and it's 27 million. We also need a generator, instant food, solar panels, charcoal, dog food, cat food, cat litter, eggs, vegetables, and so on."
Guan Yunhua looked at his daughter in surprise: "How can there be so much money?" Yin Shan smiled slightly and said, "Lu Yunchao deceived me and tried to have it both ways. Of course, I have to squeeze all the money out of him and his mistress."
Guan Yunhua was delighted: "I've told you long ago that Lu Yunchao is not a good guy. Every time I mention him, you get angry with me. This time, you're finally not blind anymore!"
Although Yin Zhiwen was happy that his daughter had finally come to her senses, he was still a little worried: "Will there be any problems in these two months?"
Yin Shan said, "I told him I'll be on a business trip for the next two months, and the bank loan will take two months to approve. By then, if acid rain comes, the authorities won't be able to handle it. Besides, after the apocalypse, money is worthless. The last two days after the acid rain is the last chance to spend money, but the authorities will only accept cash at that time. Don't worry, Dad, everything will be fine."
Yin Zhiwen nodded and said, "Since order has collapsed, we still need weapons. We definitely can't get controlled weapons, but we still have to think of ways to get the rest. Let's go to the United States to get some. I'll contact the channels right away. Shanshan has a space, so we can bring them back safely."
Yin Shan said, "Okay, but you have to wait 10 days. I need to get the necessities first, and then I can do those things."
Yin Zhiwen nodded in understanding, then looked at Guan Yunhua: "Pack up, we're moving tomorrow! Time is short and the task is heavy, so we won't hire a moving company. We'll just take everything we can, so that no more people will come and eat and drink for free."
Upon hearing this, Guan Yunhua immediately began packing. Yin Shan knew this was a big project, so he suggested to Guan Yunhua, "You don't have to take everything. Pack up the clothes that are easy to move around in. Don't throw away skirts, suits, and other things. Just fold them and put them in the cabinet. I'll put all the furniture into the space and take it away. Dad, you can go and get rid of the house now. You don't have to buy a car. I've already thought of one. But we still need gasoline and diesel, in large quantities. Do you have any connections?"
Yin Zhiwen thought for a moment and said, "They can definitely get it abroad. I'll get a fuel pump and fill up the car with gas over the next few days and then pour out the gasoline. The more the better."
Yin Shan nodded, then told his father that he was going out to stock up on vegetables and would come over in the evening to put them into the space. Yin Zhiwen nodded, then started making phone calls to buy oil.
Yin Shan headed straight for the suburban wholesale market, remembering it had a wide variety of goods and large quantities. She found a vendor and told the owner she needed a truckload of cabbage, a truckload of potatoes, a truckload of sweet potatoes, and two truckloads of other vegetables. The owner was delighted and asked for her delivery address. After receiving her payment, he went to prepare the goods, which could be ready in a day.
Yin Shan gave the warehouse address, then walked to the fruit stall and bought a cart of watermelons, a cart of peaches, a cart of oranges, and a cart of lemons, and also paid for it and gave the delivery address.
Fruit was a scarce commodity after the apocalypse, but vitamins were essential for the body. Yin Shan had the space, so he didn't mind stockpiling more. After some thought, Yin Shan walked into the innermost seed market and bought vegetable seeds and some fruit trees to plant on the mobile farm.
After purchasing these, Yin Shan drove to the pet store. She saw Qixi and Hanhan today, and thought that the two little ones would also need to eat after the end of the world, so she prepared to stock up enough food for the two little ones.
Yin Shan approached the pet shop owner and told him she needed 30,000 kilograms of dog food and 30,000 kilograms of cat food, along with enough canned food and snacks for the two. Upon hearing the quantity Yin Shan requested, the owner said he didn't have that much stock, but he could help Yin Shan get the supplies, which would take about a week. Yin Shan asked the owner to deliver them directly to the warehouse, paid a deposit, and left.
After buying food for the two little ones, Yin Shan returned home and saw that Guan Yunhua had already packed everything. So he raised his hand to put all the furniture into the space and drove back to Runyuan with his parents.
When the family reached the 22nd floor, Guan Yunhua and Yin Zhiwen were amazed to see the large iron gate installed by Yin Shan at the elevator entrance. Was their daughter trying to build a fortress?
Yin Shan opened the door, arranged the furniture according to his parents' requirements, and then arranged a new home for Hanhan and Qixi.
Yin Zhiwen looked at the layout of the house, and then told Yin Shan that the roof still needed to be waterproofed and anti-corrosion materials were needed. Although the acid rain only lasted for a few days, it could not guarantee that the roof would not be corroded. Yin Shan felt that his father's words made sense, so he asked Yin Zhiwen to take charge of the arrangements.
Yin Shan told Yin Zhiwen that Wang Lu and Hou Ting might rent the floor below their house, so she wanted Yin Zhiwen to also treat the walls below when he did the antiseptic treatment. Yin Zhiwen thought about it and felt that treating only two floors was not safe, so he suggested that Yin Shan treat the entire building, give the property management a small fee, and let the property management take on the good reputation.
Yin Shan felt that what his father said made sense, so he gave full authority to his father. Yin Zhiwen has always been an impetuous person, so he immediately called the decoration team and prepared to start construction tomorrow.
The family of three ate together. During the meal, Yin Zhiwen and Guan Yunhua did not ask Yin Shan how she died in her previous life, which made Yin Shan feel relieved. Yin Shan knew that her parents' refusal to ask did not mean they did not want to know, but simply did not want her to be trapped in painful memories. Yin Shan enjoyed a peace and quiet that she had not experienced in many years.
After dinner, Yin Shan bought some fitness equipment, preparing to take his parents to exercise when they couldn't go out. Yin Shan's current physical condition is much worse than in his previous life, in terms of strength and speed.
